Six months later…
"Jay, over here please!" Reporter 1 says.
"Jay! Look here!" Reporter 2 says.
"Only month till Royal Cotillion, how does it feel to be the most envied Prince in Auradon?" Reporter 3 asks.
"How are the piercings working?" Reporter 4 asks.
"Is your father still ill?" Reporter 2 asks.
"Alright that's enough! Leave him alone." Tasha says.
"Princess Tasha did you ever think you would be with a former villain kid?" Reporter 3 asks.
"We're done here. Okay. Shush, shush. Shoosh, shoosh. Shoosh, shoosh. This is still a school, so if you're here, you're either skipping or trespassing." Fairy Godmother says.
"Just one quick question." Reporter 1 says.
"Shush! Shush!" FG says.
"Fairy Godmother!" Reporter 4 says. But shes not having any of it as she moves them away from us.
"Hey don't pay attention to them." Tasha says. "Easier said then done." Jay says. "I hear you, but it comes with the status of any new Royal, unfortunately." Tasha says. "How do you do it?" Jay asks. "Well for starters I only answer the question that I want and I don't let them call the shots." Tasha says. "I'll do that the next time, or just run." Jay says. "You could do that, but then they'll just follow you." Tasha says. "Then I guess all our dates will be here indoors." Jay says. "Your funny, now come on we have classes, your practice and then the shipment to send to the Isle." Tasha says. They walk in holding hands and Jay spots his friends.
"I see Melody. I'm gonna go say hi." Tasha says and kisses him on the cheek and walks over to Melody.
Jay walks over to his friends to hear a handful of girl saying hi to him and only him. He waves back.
"Why do you torture them?" Carlos asks. "I don't, besides I'm taking Tasha to Cotillion. That way I only dance with my girl." Jay says. "Right, your the expert. Um, Jay if you were gonna to ask someone, what's the best way to go?" Carlos asks. "Well, I would say be like me." Jay says with a wink. "Oh, ha-ha." Carlos says. "Come on, we have practice." Jay says Carlos nods.
"I'll meet you there, I have to get Chad." Jay says Carlos shakes his head and heads over to the Swords and Shield Amphitheater.
Jay walks over waving to Melody as she leaves.
"Hey, shouldn't you be headin' to practice?" Tasha asks as he wraps his arm around her waist. "I will be, I have to get Chad from Evie." Jay says. "Look at you making sure he's not late." She says with a smile. "As any Captain should, I'm going, but first." Jay pulls Tasha in for a passionate kiss, which she breaks after a few moments. "Alright now run along. I'll meet you in front of the statue." Tasha says. "I'll meet you there." Jay says with his signature smirk. He watches Tasha leave then he makes his way to Evie and Mal's room to get Chad.
Why Charming scheduled his fitting before practice Jay will never know. Shaking his head he continues on when he arrives he's happy he doesn't have to knock.
"Amphitheater in five!" Jay says leaning against the open door. He hears Chad speak some more, but he's not listening. "Chad lets go." Jay says. Chad gets off the stool while Evie quickly grabs his cape. Chad wipes his eyes and grabs his bag.
"It- I- " Chad starts.
"Come on." Jay says putting an arm on his shoulder.
"-It's just- " Chad tries again.
"Hey I get you have a lot to work through, but we need to focus. We need your focus." Jay says.
"Your right, we have a game match next week." Chad says wiping his eyes until they are dry. Jay nods and once they make it to the Amphitheater they set their bags down and grab their gear. Students watch from the safe zone and the upper levels.
Once everyone showed up they grab their gear.
"All right, boys. Let's line it up. Carlos, you're with me." Jay says and "Yeah." Carlos says and follows facing him.
"Assembler. Salute. Lower the point. Masks down. En garde." They start and face off against each other. "Keep your center!" Jay says. "Whoa." Carlos says as he ducks as one of his team mates flips over him. "Eyes on your opponent! Up and over." Jay says as he dodges someone on his right.
Then he realizes that he's not facing Carlos anymore, but some one else. He realizes this when this opponent swings as Jay turns and he's accidentally hit in the butt. He takes off his mask.
"Get him, Jay." Carlos says. Jay does just that, as it carries on he pulls back to miss being kicked in the face. They joust some more and miss each others strike, Jay tries to knock his opponent off balance by low sweeping at there legs. Unfortunately for him, his opponent was ready for it and dodged with ease.
"Watch out, Jay." Carlos says as Jay dodges another swing flipping to the left. His opponent then takes his sword leaving Jay open.
"Jay, what happened?" Someone said.
"Finish him." Someone else said.
Jay kicks his sword out of his opponents hand and catches it he swings it behind his back a look of shock on his face when his opponent finally takes their mask off.
"It's Lonnie." Jane says as she and a few of the cheerleaders clap.
"Not bad." Jay says.
"You should put me on the team." Lonnie says.
"Hey, w-what?! No, no, no. We'll- We'll be the laughing stock of the league. A-And what's gonna happen next? We'll have girls playing tourney? Come on, guys." Chad says as he makes his way over to them. "So?" Jay says simply. "Uh, so, have you not read the rule book? Section 2, paragraph 3, 11-4. "A team will be comprised of a captain and eight men." Hmm? Why don't you read the rule book?" Chad says.
"Okay, yeah, but you're down a man! I mean, since Ben had to leave to do all that king stuff." Lonnie tries to reason.
"Exactly. We're down a man." Chad says.
"Jay..." Lonnie says.
"I'm sorry. Coach trusts me. I'm not gonna stay captain if I just throw out the rule book." Jays says.
"If my mother thought that way, she would have lost the war." Lonnie says.
"Okay." Chad says. Lonnie walks away with her gear then stops. "Rule book. Rule book." Chad taunts. Lonnie shakes her head and leaves.
"All right, guys. Practice is over. Let's go." Jay says and grabs his stuff heading off to meet with Tasha to take the next shipment to the Isle. As he walked he wondered if he made the right choice. Evie and Mal knew how to handle and use a sword. Even their rival Uma knew how to, so why can't Lonnie? Jay meets Tasha at the entrance.
"Hey did something happen at practice? Lonnie looked really upset." Tasha asks. "I'll tell you on the way." Jay says as a black and green limo pulls up.
"Really I missed that?" Tasha says. "Yeah." Jay says. "Poor Lonnie, she would be an excellent to have on the team. She was trained by her parents after all." Tasha says. "I know I wanted to, but I don't have the power to change the rules." Jay says. "I know. You can only do so much." Tasha says giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I wish I could though." Jay says. "Don't worry Lonnie is fierce and stubborn like her mother she's not going to let something like this stop her." Tasha says. "What do you mean?" Jay asks. "I'll you after we deliver this shipment." Tasha says.
They pass through the barrier and are back on the Isle. They get out and head to the trucks, Tasha takes her clipboard out and they get started. Half way through Jay notices Tasha looking at the Curl up & Dye.
"Do you want to go in?" Jay asks. "Only for a little bit." Tasha says. Jay takes her hand and opens the saloon doors. Not much has changed except for a several more broken mirrors. Jay sees Dizzy Tremaine sweeping like most of the times he came with Evie.
"Hey, Dizzy." Jay says. Dizzy stops sweeping and her eyes instantly widened.
"Jay! Your back!" Dizzy says and hugs him.
"Of course. This is my girlfriend Tasha." Jay says.
"Nice to meet yah." Tasha says with a kind smile.
"H-hi." Dizzy says. Then she looks at Jay. "Did Evie come back too?" She asks.
"No, she uh, wanted to, but she's designing clothes for the people at Auradon Prep." Jay says doing his best to not make it feel like Evie didn't care.
"Oh, well I made this for her." Dizzy says and holds up a golden bracelet.
"And we will make sure that she gets it." Tasha says.
"I promise she will." Jay says. Dizzy smiles widely.
"Thanks Jay!" Dizzy says.
"Tasha we should be going?" Jay says.
"Now hold on Jay. Dizzy, do you think you could do something with this?" Tasha says as she points to her hair.
"Tasha, babe the shipment? And Lady Tremaine doesn't let her do anyones hair, but Evie's." Jay says, not wanting to get Dizzy in trouble.
"Well, then, maybe another time." Tasha says a sadly as she walks toward the doors.
"Wait, Granny is taking care of hair emergency near Serpent Prep." Dizzy says.
"Why, would she go there?" Jay asks.
"Mad Maddy got her hair tangled in fishing nets." Dizzy says.
"Now that makes sense." Jay says then shakes his head. "Well, in that case, Tasha why don't you let Dizzy do your hair?" He says.
"Really? You don't mind finishing the shipments?" Tasha asks.
"Babe, Dizzy is amazing at what she does. And this would be her chance to do another princess's hair." Jay says giving little Dizzy a smile.
"Yes, please I promise that you well look great!" Dizzy says with a wide smile.
"Alright. Make sure the shipments go to all the areas on the Isle." Tasha says as Dizzy eagerly pulls her to one of the chairs.
"I will, babe. And don't leave until I come back at get you." Jay says.
"I promise now go!" Tasha says with a smile. Jay winks at her and heads out. He hears Dizzy already giving her opinion on Tasha's hair.
"So, was the green hair your choice? And these split ends?" Dizzy asks. "The green came from magic so it can't be dyed." Tasha says simply. "Long or short?" Dizzy asks. "It can't be short." Tasha says. "Mind if I dye the brown black?" Dizzy asks. "As long as it looks good." Tasha says. "Let's get to work!" Dizzy says and Jay hears the faint sound of water. Shaking his head he goes through the list and makes sure to follow it the way that Tasha taught him. He and some of Tasha's guards head over to Mother Gothel's and then to Dr. Facilier's after he had delivered most of the shipments when Anthony Tremaine comes up to him.
"My sister is done with the girl's hair." Anthony said and then walked away.
Jay makes his way back to the Curl up & Dye, and once he opens the doors he sees Dizzy talking to Tasha who has her back turned from him.
"So Jay, what do you think?" Dizzy asks.
"She looks awesome, Dizzy you did a fantastic job!" Jay says.
"Yeah she did!" Tasha said giving little Dizzy a hug. "Well we, best be on our way. Thank you again Dizzy." Tasha says.
"No, thank you. Aside from Uma, your shipments are really helping the Isle." Dizzy says.
"Well, if you need anything, you just let me know." Tasha says. Dizzy smiles.
"See you around Dizzy, and I'll make sure Evie gets your gift." Jay says. Dizzy gives him a hug and then they both leave.
"Do you really like it?" Tasha asks. "I do, Dizzy is great at what she does. You did pay her for it right?" Jay asks. "Of course I did, as soon as she was done." Tasha says. "So, I got through most of them just two more left." Jay says handing Tasha the clipboard. "Well, lets get a move on." Tasha says. After delivering the last shipment to the docks they head back to limo until Tasha stops, near Ursula's Fish and Chips restaurant and they both hear music.
"Who is that?" Tasha asks. "That would be Uma and her pirate crew." Jay says grimly. "You and her crew have history?" Tasha asks. "Yeah. We do." Jay says.

Jay shakes his head as he gently pulls Tasha back to the limo. Once they arrive Jay finally lets go of the breath he was holding. Tasha gives his hand a squeeze.
"Hey, if you want you don't have to come with me next time I go." Tasha says. "I'm going, I know the Isle and I'm not going to let you go by yourself." Jay says. "Alright." Tasha says. "Don't you want to know why I don't get along with Uma's crew?" Jay asks. "I figured you'd just tell me when your ready." Tasha says and gives him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks." Jay says and pulls her closer. "Your very welcome." Tasha says and leans on his shoulder. They ride back to Auradon prep and Tasha heads home to check on her brother.
Jay walks down the halls to Evie and Mal's dorm he knocks and Evie answers.
"Jay, hi your just in time!" Evie smiles brightly. "Oh, no please don't tell me." Jay says as Evie pulls him into the room. "Yes, it is. Don't worry I'm just taking your measurements. You won't see the finished product until the night before." Evie says. Jay doesn't say a word and let's it happen it doesn't take that long.
"Where's Mal?" Jay asks when she's done. "Huh? Oh, she's on her date with Ben." Evie says as she writes done his measurements. "Has she been more stress out lately?" Jay asks. "No, maybe?" Evie says. "So, your saying you haven't seen her eyes turn green or any pacing?" Jay asks. "If I did you know I would talk to her." Evie says. "I know. Before I forget, Dizzy made this for you." Jay says and hands Evie the bracelet. "You saw little Dizzy?" Evie says. "Yeah, Tasha wanted to check out Curl up & Dye." Jay says. "How is she?" Evie asks. "Dizzy is doing good, Anthony maybe a jerk, but he takes care of her." Jay says. "And what about Nate? Any changes?" Evie asks. "Still the same from when I talked to Tasha." Jay says. "Just be there for her when she needs you." Evie says. Jay nods and before he can say more Doug comes rushing in.
"We have a problem." Doug says.
"Why? What happened?" Jay asks ready to help.
"Well, Ally was were the shoes you wanted her to wear with her dress for Cotillion and both heels broke." Doug says.
"Both heels?" Evie asks.
"So?" Jay asks.
"I'll just make her a new pair, that she won't be wearing until Cotillion." Evie says.
"That's what I told her, but she insists on the ones she's wearing." Doug says.
"That's, my cue to go." Jay says as she looks at Evie rubbing her temples. Jay dashes out of her room and straight to his.
Once inside he closes the door and lies down on his bed with a sigh.
"What, do you think happened to him?" Jay hears a voice say.
"Dude, quiet." Carlos says.
"Did Dude just talk?" Jay asks as he sits up. Carlos just nods his head.
"Did you bring any bacon?" Dude asks.
