Anyways, here we go.
Stories, they make for a material either for learning or entertainment. Whenever fiction or non-fiction, they're something worth looking for.
The story i'm telling is not mine alone but the United States as a whole and it's the most unexpected. It's not any story but a story that changed the United States and maybe by extension, the world forever. Call me stupid or not, it's the truth. Deny this all you want but we're telling the truth.
A mysterious structure called the 'Gate' by higher ups opened up in Times Square, New York. What came out of it you may ask? Roman Empire looking guys. Clad in ancient armor and weaponry with some monsters like ogres and goblins and even dragons for support. What the next happened is short of unspeakable- they attacked Americans. The reason I could only collect are statements from captured POWs with translators that this ' Saderan Empire' are out for a glorious conquest and to get the lands they need to sufficiently get food for some upcoming winter. I have no idea how they did the translation but I won't be surprised for the 1st reason, the 2nd one however is something that the military took in consideration.
Attacked discriminately and lots were harmed or killed. The attack was stopped shortly but the damage was done but the thought of hearing about 227 Americans killed, 156 missing and over 300 wounded alongside tourists of other nations made me angry. I swore to myself ever since that if my unit to be deployed to that other world we'd give them 20x the hurting they give to us but we'll be 20x better as well.
On the 7th of May 2022, about a month from the attack, President Trump with approval from Congress had authorized a deployment to the other world. 3rd Infantry Division were to be one of the core units alongside other Army, Air Force and Marine elements that I'd list here but feeling too lazy about.
Additionally other nations throughout the North Atlantic Treaty Organization offered help. Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland and the United Kingdom lend their aid. A lot of help there and it was a greatly appreciated one. Other nations from NATO and non-NATO nations offered non-combat support as well. The exercise started in May 18 and ended on September 24, about a week before the deployment.
Soon we were about to deploy. Gotta train together for about four months extensively before deployment. Also did arctic winter warfare training in anticipation of this winter. The amount given here is enough to amount for a field army sized coalition. Pretty big. A name was given to this coalition the Combined Joint Task Force- Operation Trident Justice. Yes that's the overall codename of this counter-invasion op.
Once we hit the ground, this 'Empire' will feel the wrath of the United States and her allies. We will prevail.

I would also like to note in advance that some units going to be featured here are fictional and I may branch out from realism from a bit for the sake of the story in certain situations . But don't worry it won't be too much and I'll always try to get the military and political technical detail right on the appropriate situations. Any help here is highly appreciated.
This story is also going to differ a bit more from the canon Gate. I have a lot in mind that i can put here and suggestions are open as well.
