Rey P.O.V.
"Hey!" Thundering voices called, "Come here right now!" I turned around, before realizing that they weren't talking to her. They were talking to a girl and boy moving through the crowd. They looked like siblings, the girl looked about ten and the boy looked thirteen.
The chase continued, through the crowd. I wanted to pretend it was nothing but her gut told her to follow them. I hurried after them to find the two children pinned down against the wall. The Stormtroopers were taking out their guns and about to shoot. They never made it. I had taken out her lightsaber and slashed at them, killing them instantly.
"Who are you?" The boy asked.
"The question is, who are you?" I responded calmly.
"It's okay, we can trust her. She saved our lives." The girl told her brother before facing back towards Rey. "I am Zoelle and this is my brother Niles."
"Zoe, we could have used that to bargain with her. She is probably going to make us slaves anyway." Niles said to her sister.
"I'm Rey Skywalker," I blurted out. Oops. I tried to stay casual. "And why were you in trouble?"
They didn't reply. Instead, they pulled something out of their pocket. I recognized it as a kyber crystal.
I took a deep breath and asked them where they had found it. They said that they had found them. Suddenly, they heard more storm troopers. I told them to follow me before heading to her ship.
When they arrived, Finn was waiting for them.
"Finn, get the ship ready! Quickly, we have storm troopers on our trail!" I called. Finn nodded, and rushed inside the ship to get it ready. Niles got up by himself but Zoelle didn't. I used the force to carry her up. She shrieked but got up unharmed.
"Hey stop right there!" The storm troopers called. I jumped up high and into the ship. The two kids sat down in the corner. I sat down across from them. I stared into both of their hazel eyes.
"You're a Jedi, aren't you?" Niles asked. I didn't do anything for a while but then nodded. Zoelle started to open her mouth but then closed it as if she was scared of me.
"It's okay." I assured her, "You can trust me."
"Our mom always told us stories of the Jedis. My brother and I have always longed to become ones. We pretend we were and would always fake light saber fights. Then our mom died, last year actually, and we've been alone for a year. When we found these crystals, we got excited. Sadly, a couple troopers saw them and started chasing them. Niles and I have our own secret tunnel which we escaped in. They still found us and were chasing us down until you came." Zoelle exploded.
"We know how it feels." Finn said, coming from the cockpit. "We both grew up with no parents." I stared into their eyes. She felt something from them. A spark. These kids… No not possible. They couldn't become jedis. Could they?
Niles who hadn't talked at all started to talk. "Rey, can I see your light saber?" I felt as if this was my chance to see if my hypothesis was correct. "Sure." I responded. I took a gun from my back pocket. Niles turned on the light saber and started observing it. I took out the gun and shot at him. He turned around and blocked it. By blocking it, it was sent back at me. I stopped it with the force.
"NILES!" I almost screamed, so excited, "I am sorry, but I have to prove something. Give the light saber to Zoelle please." He did as he was told. I did the same thing I did to him to her. She was able to block it. "Finn! I think I've found our new hope!"
