My name is Nikolina Volkov. I am 24 years old, and I am Russian. I have thick black hair that reaches my hips. My skin is on the darker side, like sweet caramel.
I was born in Moscow, Russia. All I remember is HYDRA killed my mother, father, and brother. I was only three at the time of their death. HYDRA took me in hopes of experimenting with me.
By the age of 4, HYDRA gave me to the Red Room. There, discipline is ingrained into my body and mind. They made my body a weapon. The long, painful hours of training and dancing were starting to show on my body. Head Mistress said I was the perfect killer.
While I was at the Red Room, I was also being trained and experimented on by HYDRA. The Winter Soldier prepared me for as long as I could remember. He taught me stealth, weapons, and fighting.
By the age of 8, I knew at least 16 languages fluently. Russian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Italian, Chinese, Hebrew, French, Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, German, Hindi, Korean, and Serbian.
I was sent out on all types of missions. Mostly due to my appearance can help me blend in anywhere. I am stronger, faster, and more lethal than the Black Widow and the Winter Soldier combined.
When I became 16, the experiments that those "scientists" did on me were beginning to show. When I was little, I couldn't really do anything with my power but now. Now I could use them. The abilities I have were incredible; everyone feared what I could and would do. I can change my appearance, move things with my mind, manipulate other people, making a person's worse dreams come true, control shadows, and create force fields.
I have many skills under my belt. I am an assassin; it is expected of me. I have no emotions, I choose to feel nothing, and for that reason, I am the perfect weapon.
The Black Widow and Hawkeye were sent after me. Fury wanted me caught, "The Shadow."
