''The Legendary Kids Click.''
A Polite Rant/Tribute Fanfiction
by Foxy Hedgehog.
( Present Day ) Author's Note:
Hello everyone~.
I have another Fanfiction for you, but it's a little different.
Well... it's been one year since the Kids Click Programming Block was taken off the air, so on the Anniversary of such... unnecessary termination, I have decided to show my fellow readers, (and the world), how much Kids Click meant to me.
(this is also my very first multi - chapter Story - I know it might not seem like a Story, but it's a Story to me)
And remember: Be healthy, Be safe, Be strong, Be positive, and Be together~.
And please... no rude comments! Thank you.
( 04-10-2019 ) Author's Note:
Hello everyone.
I'm sorry that my greeting isn't very cheery today, but...
I found out something really bad that shook me pretty hard, and I figured that the best way to deal with it is to write down my thoughts and feelings like this.
Any further information on this 'Bittersweet', Polite Rant and Tribute Fanfiction will be explained as the Story progresses, but for now, I want to state the basic information:
I do not own anything in this Fanfic, just the idea. I do not make any money off of this, or any other of my works, and I never will.
The rating is for 'Everyone', which contains a little bit of (almost) everything:
Friendship - Comfort - Humor - Angst - Hurt - and Drama.
(NO foul language, violence, or nudity!)
I'm sorry if reading this makes you sad, but writing this Fanfic was the only thing I could do to help me move on.
So... grab a box of tissues and read on.
Chapter 1: The Memory.
In Memory of the Kids Click TV Programming Block.
July-01-2017 to March-31-2019
~~~~~
For the longest time, I've wanted to wake up in the mornings to watch those Saturday and/or Sunday morning Kids Shows.
(As an adult, I believe that age is just a number for a lot of things. This is one of those things)
And in June of 2017, when I saw commercials for a new TV Programming Block (or 'TVPB' for short) called ''Kids Click'', my heart filled with joy at the thought of watching early morning shows again!
But this time, not only would morning cartoons be back on Saturdays and Sundays, but they would also be on every day of the week! Even if it meant me waking up before 5:00 AM (Monday through Friday), and before 6:00 AM (Saturday through Sunday), it would all be worth it, because it gave me something to look forward to when I woke up every morning.
The new KCTVPB was being aired on ThisTV (The Movie Network), and The CW (Fox's sister station, I guess). But I could only receive ThisTV, which doesn't come in over half the time. (still doesn't)
When I saw the first preview for the KCTVPB, I saw 2 seconds of Sonic the Hedgehog from the 'Sonic X' Anime, and I thought for sure that he would be back on TV!
But when the time came for the morning cartoons to officially air, 'Sonic X' was nowhere to be seen.
I was disappointed for awhile, but that disappointment quickly vanished as I watched the other KC Shows, and soon enough, I began to grow a fondness for these Shows. (some more than others).
But my time watching KC wasn't an exciting walk in the park. I've had a number of problems to deal with since KC first aired.
First: I don't know if it was the TV Station or the PB, but there were a few glitches for awhile. The biggest issue, was the channel I was watching KC on (ThisTV), it wouldn't come in over half the time, due to poor reception and bad weather.
Then there was the matter of work related issues, that made me miss some or most of the Shows: Housework, (like giving a major makeover to a little bitty room!), and Yard work, (like pulling weeds and mowing grass in the Summer, and shoveling snow in the Winter).
And then, if we (Me, my Mom and Dad) had to leave early to go somewhere, I wound up missing most of the Shows.
And last but not least: Keeping my watching KC a secret... from my parents! If they found out what I was doing, the worst I would get, would probably be a scolding, that would be repeated for 2 or 3 more days!
I've had some close calls before. In the Winter it wasn't so bad, but in the Summer, I really had to keep my guard up whenever I had that 'wind tunnel' of a fan in my room!
(some people must think that when they grow into adulthood, they have to forget about their favorite pastimes like watching morning cartoons, but I beg to differ).
But somehow, I've managed to keep my secret under wraps... until now.
Then on May-07-2018, a miracle happened...
The TBD PB (a TV Network for people who love the Internet) started airing KC. And that was very good because, one: the images looked clearer and better, and two: the channel that the TBD was on, hardly ever went off the air no matter what! (I've been watching TBD for awhile now, so I should know)
So it wasn't really a total loss when ThisTV discontinued carriage of KC on July-01-2018, and since then I've been able to watch my favorite Shows without the TV messing up.
But like everything else in this world that we live in, nothing lasts forever.
On April-01-2019, I woke up at 4:00 AM, ready to see what KC had to offer.
But when the time came...
I didn't see anything, no KC, no Shows, just paid programmings!
At first I thought it was an 'April Fools' joke, but after the first week of April had come and gone, I soon realized that it was no joke.
The Broadcasting Group that I believe was in charge of of KC, had discontinued the PB... permanently. (on March-21-2019, I assume).
The whole thing hit me hard like a ton of bricks, (even worse than when 'Super 4' was taken off KC on September-21-2018, but more on that later) and it left me feeling miserable for days, even shedding a few tears.
I couldn't (and didn't) want to tell anyone about this, because I figured no one would understand.
But I found a way to cope and move on through it all.
Because even though KC may be gone for good, I'll always have the memories, dreams, and imagination to remember them by, in my heart always. (as well as some pictures on my camera, and some Fanart that I drew).
So thank you Kids Click, for being there for me whenever I woke up, so I could start the day with a smile on my face. And thank you for the Shows, (the commercials for the Shows), the mentioning of holidays when they came around, and the Holiday TV Specials of 2018.
So, thank you again Kids Click, you had a good run. And if, for some reason you're unable to return to TV, just know that you may be gone, but you will not be forgotten.
I send you my blessing of Love~.
