A sixteen-year-old boy, Steven Quartz Universe, a boy who has a magical gem on his belly that contains superpowers, ached and groaned.
He didn't know.
He should've known.
He should have known the day he will be not just Steven Universe, but will soon be... a monster.
He was turning Pink. His eyes were pink, as well, with his pupils diamond shaped, like his mom, Pink Diamond, aka her alias when she is in her disguise, Rose Quartz. They were white. This hair was more curly. His jacket was off, he almost had a beard, and is bulked up.
The Crystal Gems were gathered around Steven, concerned about their dear friend, their hero, and their most trusted ally.
"Steven! Snap out of it!" Connie Maheswaran cried. "Stop struggling, and just talk to us!"
"Yeah dude," said Amethyst, aka Amethyst Facet-5 Cut-8XM. "You've changed. Please! We have to know what's going on. Garnet?"
"STEVEN!" Garnet the Permafusion shouted. "This is not proper behavior! For a person like you, this is getting out of hand. It is not the way to think, to behave, to be you. Come to your senses!"
"No, no! You do not understand," Steven replied. "I am not evil. I do not destroy civilians or gems... I... I help people. I help them. Er... AUGH!"
He chose to speak, but struggled. His gem shined brighter. The Earth was shaking. Some of the humans and gems fell onto the ground. A beam of light came out of him. Steven transformed into his corrupted self. A monstrous form, they said. Dangerous to the people of Beach City, Mayor Dewey added, as well as Nanefua Pizza.
Now, Steven has transformed. 25% Corrupted, the headline on the newspaper read.
But, the battle between Steven and the Crystal Gems was ready to commence...
