We open up with our main protagonist Nick, ready to get out there and show the world what he's capable of!
That's what I wish I could say but instead we have Nick, laying on the ground, motionless.
It was a Monday and it was going to be the busiest day of the month for him, he had to work at 6 a.m., followed up by going to his trip which was going to be at 8 p.m.
He agreed to join his friend Max into going to Texas to visit their friends, or well, Max's friends, he didn't hate them but he always felt like he didn't belong with them.
Now Max on the other hand was more than just his best friend, he was his brother, he was the only one who understood him at a young age, back when he was way into videogames.
His love for videogames started when his mom got him a Gameboy advance back in 2004 with 4 games; Sonic Advance, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 and…
Pokémon Emerald.
He absolutely ADORED all of these games, but he will always have a soft spot for Pokémon, he got all the cards and is still collecting them to this day, he played every game in the franchise, including Pokémon Dash.
He still loves videogames to this day, and doesn't see himself stopping anytime soon.
Max didn't really understand videogames but he still respects Nick for it.
While I was exposing Nick's life to you all he finished breakfast, got changed and was heading off to work.
He worked at a chocolate factory and it wasn't fun, it was hell for him, his work wasn't easy nor challenging it was just checking the staff and machines, but it was boring.
At least he got the rest of the week off for being "such a good employee" so that's a plus.
He went home to his apartment, got changed and packed his stuff, ONLY the essentials.
- His switch alongside it's games and charger
- Laptop
- Clothes
- Some Food and Snacks from the fridge
- Pillows and Sheets
- A survival kit
- And a tent
He didn't want a repeat of what happened LAST time, Max told him in a previous trip that they were going to stay at a Motel for the night, but there was no motel in the road so they had to sleep in the car.
And with all off that he put everything in his giant backpack and headed off to where they were going to meet.
He had a strong suspicion that something was going to go wrong….
He arrived to the Sidewalk where they decided to meet.
"Yo Max" Nick greeted.
Max was standing next to a traffic light checking his phone, he was wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans, he suddenly glanced to Nick with a smile on his face.
"Whassup Nick!" Max greeted and followed up by a secret handshake they both decided on which Nick happily returned.
"So, you ready?" Max asked him
"Well duh."
"Let's GO!"
They both got on to Max's van and drove off to Texas, which was just a 4-hour trip away since they lived in New Mexico.
And those 4 hours when by in a flash, talking about stupid stuff together, and making each other laugh.
"Hey Max… shouldn't we be here by now?"
"Well yeah but I have crossed this street so many times before I know it like the back of my han-" Max quickly stopped his statement to get a better look at his surroundings… It was all dark? He could have sworn he just saw the road a minute ago?
"What's wrong?" Nick said with a worried expression "Are we lost?!"
"W-Well I just don't know; I mean…" Max quickly got interrupted by an…earthquake?
"W-WHAT'S GOING ON?" Nick yelled while grabbing to the side of his seat.
"I-I DON'T K-KNOW!" Max screamed
It wasn't an earthquake, some force was moving the car, and when the boys tried to look outside their windows, all they saw was an endless void of blackness.
They both kept yelling uncontrollably until the car was going at super-light speed, barely being able to move and feeling like their eyes were going to explode.
There was a light in front of them, slowly approaching.
Until it consumed them whole.
What will happen to our heroes? Are they okay? Or have they met a terrible demi- screw it, you already know what's next don't you? ;)
