"No!" Mabel couldn't help but yell as her Rainbow Unicorn was destroyed, feeling the force of the attack nearly blowing her off her feet.

"And now my Shadow Hydra can use it's special ability to attack you again!" the twisted demon using her brother's body cackled maniacally."And since you no longer have any monsters on the field, it can attack you directly! Burning Hell Blast!"

Her brother's favorite monster, warped by the creature in her brother's body and radiating dark energy, reared it's multiple heads back before releasing a blast at Mabel. Mabel screamed as the blast, made real by the demon's powers, enveloped her. She could feel her hands and arms, which she was trying to use to protect herself, begin burn and even blister slightly under the intense heat of the attack. Soon the force became too much and Mabel was blown back, rolling several feet across the ground and getting several cuts and scrapes, coming to a stop face down as her life points dropped down to a measly 100. Mabel attempted to get to her feet, feeling extremely weak as her energy was drained along with her life points.

"Have you realized yet that you'll never be able to defeat me?" Bipper asks arrogantly, making Mabel glare at him. A cruel smile stretched across his face that looks so unnatural on the normally kind boy. "You could never even beat your brother, so you stand no chance against an amazing being such as myself. If you give up now, I might consider letting you keep your soul."

" Never!" Mabel said with conviction, using all her willpower to finally stand. "I will get my brother back! I don't care if you're a demon or a spirit or whatever. You're just a jerk and I will kick your butt out of my brother's body!"

"With what?" Bipper laughed, enjoying Mabel's attempt to be brave. "You have no cards on your field or in your hand. It's impossible for you to draw a monster that can defeat my Shadow Hydra that you could play in one turn. You have no chance what so ever! Just give up and I'll make turning you into a card quick and painless."

"I have faith in my cards and I know I'll get just what I need to beat you!" Mabel shouted definitely before staring at her deck. She hated to admit it, but Bipper was right. She didn't have anything. She couldn't even hope for an action card to help her as she had used all of them just to survive this long. Everything relied on her next draw.

Please Mabel begged, putting all her thoughts and feelings into her deck as she put her hand the top card. Please let this be something that will let me save Dipper.

Taking a deep breath, Mabel drew her card, a rainbow streak appearing briefly before it burst into glitter and disappeared. Mabel glanced at her card to see an image of a female figure reaching towards a bright light streaming down from above. Mabel recognized it as the card Dipper had given her.

(Flashback)

"You lose again Mabel," Dipper said teasingly as his trap card wiped out the remainder of Mabel's life points the two were sitting on the floor in Dipper's room just playing a friendly game to test the new cards they had gotten. "You're never going to beat me at this rate."

"Probably not," Mabel agreed easily, putting her deck away. "But we have so much fun dueling that I don't really care at winning."

"And that's why you are the Dueltainer of the two of us." Dipper laughed, before pulling out a card. "But if you want to ever perform in front of the big crowds you're going to have to start winning more. Here. This card is really tricky to use but if you can pull it off I know you'll be able to shine like the star you are."

"Thanks, Dipper!" Mabel beamed, taking the card and looking it over. "Oooh! It's so pretty! It'll fit in with my deck perfectly! I know someday this will come in handy."

Mabel tackled Dipper in a hug and they both fell over laughing.

(End Flashback)

Looks like the day has finally come, Mabel smiled looking at Bipper with fire in her eyes. "I play the spell card, Shinning Hope!"

Mabel placed the card on her duel disk and a bright light began to shine from her side of the field. Bipper had to use a had to shield his eyes.

"It's going to take more than a little flashlight to… What the!?" Bipper cut off as he realized that his Shadow Hydra was starting to evaporate under the light. "What's going on!?"

"Shining Hope is a spell card that destroys all monsters and cards on your side of the field," Mabel explained calmly, feeling strength from the light. "It can only be activated when I have no other cards on my field or in my hand and I have less than a 1000 life points. Dipper gave me this card and I know he's fighting by my side to take you down! For you take damage equal to the monsters attack points that are destroyed! You lose!

"This is impossible!" Bipper angrily denied as the light got more intense. "You're a weak duelist! I can't lose to you! You can't even defeat Pine Tree!"

"I may never win against Dipper, but you are not my brother!" Mabel shouted back, "And I'm getting him back and sending you back where you belong!"

"NNNOOOOO!" Bipper shouted as Shadow Hydra was destroyed and his life points dropped to zero. Bipper gave Mabel an evil smirk as he said " I underestimated you Shooting Star. But neither you nor Pine Tree have seen the last of me. You can count on that."

With that threatening message, Bill left Dipper's body which then slumped to the ground. Mabel ran to his side and held him close. The image of Dipper faded away from the card next to him as his soul was released and returned to its rightful place. A moment later, Dipper began to stir.

"…Mabel?.." Dipper mumbled as he blearily looked up at her. "What happened?... Are you… hurt?"

"I'm fine Dipper…" Mabel replied, smiling in relief. "I'm fine and you're fine and that's all that matters."

Dipper was still confused, but his questions could wait. For now, he was content to return Mabel's hug. The two sat there for a while, taking comfort in each other's presence and glad the nightmare was over.
