THE WORSE KIND OF ALLIANCE!

In each of their respective worlds, the likes of Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon are hailed as heroes for rising up time and time again to put their longtime foes to rest whenever they tried something new. But this time, the heroes may be in over their heads...

Thanks to the latest creation of Dr. Neo Cortex, the "Cortex Realizer", he is able to form an alliance with other bad guys such as Bowser, Dr. Eggman and even Ripto to unite their worlds and dispose of their arch nemesis once and for all. Upon activation, the Mushroom Kingdom collides with Wumpa Islands, the Dragon Realms have merged into Green Hill and all kinds of crazy stuff throws our heroes out of the norm and into an unrecognizable jumble of their worlds.

But no sooner do the four find one another that they quickly ally with one another when word gets out that their closest friends are at risk of being sent to an unreachable alternate reality, all currently prisoners of the fiendish four. It's up to Mario, Sonic, Crash and Spyro to put aside their differences and work together to not only save their friends but to also put their scrambled worlds back to normal...

THE CHARACTERS

Mario - Home: The Mushroom Kingdom - Debut: Jumpman (1981)
The oldest of the four heroes in number of adventures, Mario has been constantly at work protecting the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom and its ruler, Princess Peach, from becoming servants and slaves of the wicked Bowser and his forces. It doesn't matter where Bowser may take the frequently abducted princess...Mario is persistent and will not stop until she is returned to her castle. With a multitude of power-ups at his disposal, nothing is too hard for this plumber. When Cortex's newest device causes their worlds to mix together, Mario lost sight of most of his friends, even his brother Luigi. Hoping to find them among the chaos lying in wait, Mario joins together with the others to press onward.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Home: Green Hill - Debut: Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)
The fastest hedgehog in the world, he is known as the Blue Blur by his enemies. With a headstrong attitude and passion for justice, Sonic has put his speed to good use whenever the likes of Dr. Eggman emerges from hiding to exact another scheme. He's not alone, however, as his friends list continuously grows with each new adventure, giving him plenty of allies to fall back on in harder times. When he gathers the seven Chaos Emeralds together, he can transform into the invincible Super Sonic, capable of reducing any machine the doctor makes to scrap. When Cortex causes their worlds to collide, Sonic not only loses any way of finding the Emeralds, but he lost contact with his best friend, Tails, as well. In order to find and stop Eggman, whom he believes is involved somehow, Sonic quickly forges an alliance with the others.

Crash Bandicoot - Home: Wumpa Islands - Debut: Crash Bandicoot (1996)
Originally an average Bandicoot living on the Wumpa Islands, he became the biggest thorn to Dr. Neo Cortex after he failed to be completely mutated to serve him and took off. Since then, whenever Cortex or the villainous Uka Uka stir up trouble, Crash is always quick to respond with the guidance of his mentor, Aku Aku, and kid sister Coco. While all seemed natural in the Wumpa Islands after Cortex went off radar, his world was the first to be affected when the mad doctor's device caused their worlds to collide. In the process, Cortex has kidnapped Coco and is holding her hostage. Despite his low attention span (as well as basic IQ), Aku Aku is able to help Crash form an alliance with the others to save their friends and figure out what Cortex wants this time.

Spyro the Dragon - Home: Dragon Realms - Debut: Spyro the Dragon (1998)
One of the younger dragons living in the Dragon Realms, Spyro is mostly mischievous by nature as he likes messing with the nearby sheep, accompanied by his lifetime companion, Sparks the Dragonfly. Despite his tendencies, Spyro is no stranger to helping others as his adventure first put him against Gnasty Gnorc, a fiendish orc who used a magical spell to imprison the other dragons. Among all the other enemies Spyro has had to deal with, none have pestered him more than the wicked warlock, Ripto. He has been a pest to him and friends since he thwarted his complete takeover of Avalar. When Cortex used his machine to fuse the worlds together, Spyro joins together with Mario and the others to get to the bottom of things. With his powerful but small wings, iron strong headbutts and fire breath, this spunky dragon can't wait to torch some bad guys.

THE VILLAINS

Bowser, King of the Koopas
Villainous tyrant who has constantly tried to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, always having his eyes on abducting the helpless Princess Peach first. Despite the numerous forces at his disposal, including the crafty Kamek, his successor Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings, he always falls whenever Mario gets involved in his plans. But like a persistent Piranha Plant, no matter how many times he falls, he always manages to cause trouble once again.

Dr. Eggman
Mad scientist with an IQ of over 300, he is set on one goal in particular: the creation of the Eggman Empire, where he rules over a world enslaved by his machines. But even since his earliest days, one certain blue hedgehog has been a problem he could never overcome. And as Sonic's friends begin to grow in number, the more problems the egg-shaped doctor must deal with.

Dr. Neo Cortex
Relatively similar to Dr. Eggman, Cortex's field of expertise revolves around the mutation of animals and using the magic found within crystals and gems to take over the world, guided by the evil Uka Uka. When he first tried to conquer the Wumpa Islands with his animal army, he ended up causing the birth of Crash Bandicoot, a pest who has always charged head first in stopping his plans. Sometimes, he regrets ever trying to mutate Crash.

Ripto
Despite his relatively short status, Ripto is a force to be reckoned with his magical capabilities as well as his two bodyguards/henchmen, Crush and Gulp. He first tangled with Spyro when the dragon appeared in time to thwart his takeover of Avalar and, since then, has been trying to snuff out the dragon's flame. He's no stranger to allying with Dr. Cortex, having done so long ago.
