The idea is that oc is a phene with wings of black smoke. the fires are creatures of goodness and they're kind, but they were wiped out by the orcs almost entirely, but some are still alive.

Ahniel ran across the clearing, toward the forest ahead. She was running from a small group of humans who had seen her wings and figured out she was a pheen. A pheen was a half phoenix half-elf. Pheens tried not to let Humans see their wings because it sometimes drove the humans mad as was the case with this group of three friends. The men had weapons and she assumed they were going hunting. Her legs were growing tired and weak. She had hidden her wings as fast as she could when she sensed the humans.

Ahniel reached the treeline and sighed in relief, maybe she could find a place to hide. She kept running but her pace was slowing due to her getting tired. The men were yelling at her angrily to stop running, trying to coax her to go to them. She tried to push herself to go faster but her legs wouldn't listen.

She turned sharply to the right into a thicker area of the woods. She kept running but her legs felt like they were burning but she wouldn't dare to stop. A little pain would be worth survival. Then suddenly Ahniel felt a sharp burning sensation in her abdomen. She looked down and saw an arrow tip peering through her side. She collapsed on her knees and her wings of black smoke erupted from between her shoulder blades. The men finally reached her and She turned to look at them with her fire like eyes.

"Good girl. That's the spirit. You have rare wings for a Pheen." One of the men said and went to touch her wings. She moved her wings away from them and cursed herself for going into a forest as thick as this one. She wouldn't be able to fly to safety.

"All Pheens are rare these days. So I'm afraid I can't let you kill this one." A voice came from above them and right after an elf fell between Ahniel and the three humans. Ahniel looked up at the Ellon with relief and confusion. She hoped that she wasn't in Mirkwood, she had heard a lot of bad things about the king.

"There are three of us and only one of you." One of the men spit at the Ellon with anger and the Ellon looked at the humans with disgust.

"You truly have gone mad. You can leave and stay alive, or you can stay and I can kill you." The tall Ellon spoke to the men who drew their swords and prepared for an attack. "Alright then." The Ellon muttered and suddenly more elves jumped down from the trees and landed behind the men blocking their exit. The men looked behind them and their eyes filled with fear and they tried to look for an escape.

The elf guards all drew their swords in unison and Ahniel felt herself grow tired and she looked down to see blood pouring out of her side. She took in a breath and looked back up. The elves attacked the three men and the fight was over shortly.

Ahniel fought to keep her eyes open and she let her wings retreat into her back and she stood shakily. she was in a lot of pain and it took pure willpower for her to stay standing. The first Ellon turned towards her and she smiled at him gratefully and Ahniel said, "Thank you for your help." Then she collapsed again and the Ellon caught her and lifted her in his arms and she tried to fight to stay awake but soon everything was going dark and the last thing she saw was the Ellon commanding the other elves to continue patrolling.
