A/N: hey guys this is a sequel to the My time story and if you haven't read that then you should check it out if you have the time otherwise i hope you enjoy this story as much as you enjoyed the last story. My time 2: the next generation
The next night on smackdown on fox after wrestlemania in Tampa Florida Michelle was sitting backstage with her girlfriend Christie hemme and her WWE smackdown women's championship when Michelle said to her girlfriend "you know babe it has just hit me that i am the new smackdown women's champion after i won this championship last night in my first wrestlemania" and Michelle's girlfriend Christie hemme gave her girlfriend a kiss on her lips as she replied with a smile on her face "i know baby, and i recorded your match so we can watch your big moment whenever we want and i can't wait to hear your promo tonight as the new smackdown women's champion"
Then while Michelle was waiting in gorilla position the smackdown GM Theodore long came up to her and said "first of all congratulations on becoming the new smackdown women's champion and secondly your first challenger as the smackdown women's champion will be a former smackdown women's champion herself in your mother becky lynch as she wanted you to be her last opponent here in WWE you feel me?" then Michelle smiled as she replied "thanks teddy, and it would be an honour to be my mum's last opponent here in WWE as the smackdown women's champion" before she then went out on stage as her theme final straw played in the arena and Greg Hamilton said "ladies and gentlemen please welcome the smackdown women's champion the queen of Friday nights MICHELLE KYOSHI CASS!"
And Michelle walked out to thunderous cheers from the crowd as Michael Cole said on commentary as Michelle made her way to the ring "last night at wrestlemania it was an emotional night for this woman as she competed in her first wrestlemania after her dad Jacob cass had announced his retirement so let's hear what Michelle has to say as the new smackdown women's champion" then Michelle stood in the ring with a microphone in hand and tried to speak but the crowd were loudly chanting "you deserve it you deserve it" and "KYOSHI KYOSHI KYOSHI" so Michelle just soaked in the moment for a few minutes before she finally said "thank you guys, now last night i defeated the legit loser Sasha banks to become your new smackdown women's champion in my first ever wrestlemania and unlike sasha banks i will be a fighting champion and a champion you can all be proud of as i will take on all comers"
Then celtic invasion played in the arena as Michelle's mother becky lynch came down to the ring and she said on the mic to her daughter "sweetie i'm so proud of ya winning ya first singles championship in yer first wrestlemania in our hometown of Tampa Florida which is also i am out here because i want to challenge ya tonight for ya smackdown womens championship as my last match in WWE" then Michelle smiles as she replied to her mother becky on the mic "mum, i would be honoured to be the one who retires you so i accept your challenge see you later tonight" before Michelle then left the ring as her theme final straw played as Michael Cole said on commentary "wow what an announcement as we will see becky lynch taking on her daughter Michelle Kyoshi Cass in our main event for the WWE smackdown women's championship in becky's final match here in WWE"
Later...
Michelle was stretching backstage preparing for her match against her mother becky lynch when her girlfriend Christie came over to her and gave her a hug as she said to her "are you going to be ok tonight babe? I mean you are facing your mother tonight in her last match and i can't even imagine how you must be feeling" then Michelle briefly stopped stretching and turned to face her girlfriend and gave her a kiss on her lips as she replied to her "i'll be fine babe don't worry, i know this is my last match in WWE tonight but i think she would be proud knowing i was the person who retired her" before she then heard her theme final straw playing so she smiled at her girlfriend as she said "anyway, i have to go be back soon babe"
And Michelle walked out on stage to thunderous crowd reaction as Greg Hamilton said "ladies and gentlemen the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the smackdown women's championship introducing first from Tampa Florida she is the smackdown women's champion the queen of Friday nights MICHELLE KYOSHI CASS!" and Tazz said on commentary while Michelle was making her way to the ring "oh man i can't even imagine how Michelle must be feeling right now having to face her mother becky lynch knowing this is her last match here in WWE" then Corey graves said on commentary "i have to agree with you there Tazz, this has to be emotional for Michelle knowing she is her mother's last opponent here in WWE but also this should be a good contest none the less"
Then celtic invasion played in the arena as Greg Hamilton said "and introducing the challenger from Dublin Ireland the man BECKY LYNCH!" and becky made her way down to the ring as Michael Cole said on commentary "this has to be emotional for both of these women as we get ready to get into this one and i can't even imagine how either of these ladies must be feeling knowing this is becky's last match here in WWE" and the referee held up the championship before he then checked both women before he then called for the bell to ring and the match to start.
And both Michelle and her mother becky lynch circled around each other for a few minutes before they shook each other's hand out of respect before they then eventually locked up in a collar and elbow tie up and becky tried to connect with a belly to back mat slam but her daughter Michelle countered with a standing switch and attempted a belly to back mat slam of her own before becky countered again with her own standing switch and connected with a german suplex sending her daughter Michelle crashing down to the mat as Tazz said on commentary "man, we are barely a few minutes into this match and already we are seeing some incredible counters from these two ladies"
Then Corey graves said on commentary "well it makes no surprise to me Tazz as i heard from my sources that becky lynch and Jacob Cass actually trained their own daughter so it comes to no surprise to me that these two ladies know each other move for move" then Michael Cole said on commentary "i have to agree with you Corey, this has definitely been a back and forth contest thus far and i am looking forward to what we are going to see next from these two incredible athletes"
Halfway through the match becky went for a becksploder suplex but Michelle countered into a small package as the referee made the count "1.." "2.." before becky managed to kick out and both women got back to their feet to huge cheers from the crowd before Michelle then hit her mother becky with a superkick knocking her down to the mat before she ran towards the ropes and did a handspring moonsault that she calls "shining star press" and went for the pin again as the referee made the count "1.." "2.." but again becky kicked out and Michelle backed up into a corner waiting for her mother to slowly get back to her feet before she charged out of the corner looking to hit her own spear but becky countered into her dis-arm-her submission finisher and Michelle was screaming in agony.
Tazz then said on commentary "wow it looked like Michelle wanted to pay tribute to her dad by using a spear but what a counter into the dis-arm-her by becky lynch will we see a new smackdown women's champion? Is Michelle gonna be forced to tap to her own mother?" then Michelle managed to fight her way free from the dis-arm-her and as both women got back to their feet Michelle tried a submission of her own as she kicked her mum in the gut and lifted her up in what looked like a suplex before bringing her down to the mat in a sleeper hold as Michael Cole said on commentary "Corey this move looks familiar doesn't it?" then Corey graves said on commentary "yes Cole it does look familiar because Michelle is using the kirafuda clutch a submission made famous by the RAW women's champion shayna baszler"
And the end of the match came when becky tried to hit her finisher the "manhandle slam" but her daughter Michelle managed to fight out and sent her down to the mat with a clothesline before Michelle picked her mum off the mat and said to her "i'm sorry, i love you mum" before she then kicked her mum in the gut and connected with her finisher the mirakuru bomb and went for the pin as the referee made the count "1.." "2.." "3.." and the bell rang and the match was over and Michelle embraced her mum with a hug in the middle of the ring as Greg Hamilton said "ladies and gentlemen here is your winner and still the WWE smackdown women's champion the queen of Friday nights MICHELLE KYOSHI CASS!"
Then the referee handed Michelle her championship and Michelle exited the ring with her championship over her shoulder and her down before she sat on the apron for a few minutes before she eventually hopped off the apron and slowly walked up the ramp as Tazz said on commentary "oh man what a match we witnessed here tonight and i can't even imagine how Michelle must be feeling right now knowing that she retired someone as you said Corey trained her and made her into the woman she is today" and Michael Cole said on commentary "you're right partner, this has to be emotional for the smackdown women's champion Michelle Kyoshi Cass as she retired her mother becky lynch a person who raised her and help make her into the incredible athlete she is today" then Corey said on commentary "that was an incredible match between mother and daughter and neither one of them has anything to be ashamed of and i'm honoured to call becky's final match here in WWE and what a career it has been for the man so all that is left to say is thank you becky"
When Michelle walked through the curtain backstage with tears building in her eyes and her head down charley Caruso came up to her "excuse me Michelle if i could just get your comments on how it must of felt defending your smackdown women's championship against someone who you knew so well in becky lynch?" and Michelle looked at Charlie and said to her "i'm sorry Charlie, but i don't feel like doing any interviews right now i-i just want to be on my own right now thank you" before she then continued down the hallway when Alexa bliss saw the look on Michelle's face and came over to her and gave her a hug as she said to her "hey Michelle, what's up you look like you are about to cry" then Michelle faintly smiled at Alexa and returned the hug to her as she said "i appreciate you trying to cheer me up Alexa but i would like to have a few moments by myself" before she then carried on down the hallway towards her locker room and Alexa couldn't help but feel bad for Michelle.
As Michelle walked into her locker room to get changed she was greeted by her girlfriend Christie hemme who gave her a hug and noticed the look on her face as she said to her "hey baby what's wrong? That was an amazing match between you and your mother as you both gave it everything you had tonight" and Michelle returned the hug to her girlfriend as tears started streaming down her face as she replied "i just ended my mother's career here in WWE babe and i know it was what she wanted but it still doesn't mean i'm happy about it because she trained me and raised me and taught me everything i know" then Christie wiped some tears from her girlfriends face as she replied "hey don't cry babe, i know that must have been difficult for you but i think your mother would be proud knowing you were the one who ended her career and passed the torch to you so to speak"
And Christie just held her girlfriend Michelle in a good long hug before Alexa bliss and Nikki cross came into the locker room before Alexa said to Christie with a smile on her face "sorry i couldn't help but listen to your conversation and i agree with you Christie because me and Nikki were good friends with Michelle's parents and we are sad to see them retire and we hope they get inducted into the WWE hall of fame because they both deserve it" then Christie smiled as she replied to Alexa "it's ok Alexa i think this has just hit Michelle that she just retired her mother someone who raised her and trained her and taught her everything she knows so she is a little emotional at the moment"
Then Nikki cross gave Michelle a hug as she said to her "that must have been hard for ya to be ya mother's last opponent and retire her like that but both me and Alexa want to say that you are not on your own because ye have your wonderful girlfriend Christie to look after you and me and Alexa will also be here to support ya" and Michelle smiled at Nikki as she returned the hug and replied "aww thanks guys, i feel a little better now and i hope i can continue to make my parent's proud of me and i can't wait for my parent's to be inducted into the WWE hall of fame"
Christie then said to her girlfriend Michelle "come on babe, let's get back to our apartment so we can have our private celebration for you winning the WWE smackdown women's championship at wrestlemania seeing as we didn't get to do that after the show" before both Michelle and Christie left the locker room and made their way to the parking lot where Michelle's parent's Jacob and becky were waiting for them by Jacob's silver Mercedes A class car.
