MONDAY

"You've got to be kidding me. Out of all the people I could've gotten I get her?!" Peridot said to nobody in particular. She stood in front of the dorm partners list that the deans of the school recently put up. For her freshman year, she got stuck with Aquamarine and her girlfriend. This year she hoped for someone she actually enjoyed, which was quite impossible since she liked only one person.

"Looks like you're stuck with me, Peri," She heard a deep bass-filled voice purr behind her. It was her. Peridot's short figure whipped around and locked eyes with the perpetrator.

"Garnet. You know I can't stand you," Peridot told the large woman in front of her. Garnet looked down at the smaller girl and smiled. Peridot had always had a hatred for Garnet ever since they met, which was last year in a Psychology class when Peridot made the mistake of sitting next to her. The seats stuck for the rest of the year and by the end of it, Peridot couldn't stand her. Peridot scowled at the remembrance of it.

"C'mon, you know you love me. Let's go unpack," Garnet still had a wide, toothy grin spread across her face. Her hand latched on to Peridot's green shirt sleeve and basically dragged the women to their dorm. Peridot tried to fight back, but her attempts were unsuccessful.

Meanwhile back at the small square poster, Jasper was quite shocked when she saw who she was assigned with.

"Who the hell-,' Her eyes narrowed as they darted across the hall, looking for this so-called Sadie. She had no clue who the woman was, and she hoped it was someone her girlfriend didn't have a problem with.

"Hey, there!" A quite friendly and bubbly voice exclaimed. Jasper side-eyed and observed a small figure in the corner of her eye. She quickly turned to meet eyes with a small, curvy blond girl standing in the doorway. Jasper had a quick thought of how the girl represented herself. She thought that the curvy girl would be annoying and really sweet just by that one sentence alone. Her quirky, lopsided grin didn't add anything positive to the thought.

"You must be Sadie," Jasper squinted her eyes, trying to intimidate her. And in Sadie's mind, it did. Sadie had heard the things people said about Jasper. That she was a muscular football-playing brute that happened to be the biggest lesbian around. To make matters worse, nearly every part of Jasper's arm's were inked with tattoos.

"Eheh… Yeah, that's me. It's nice to meet you!" Sadie stuck out her hand for the stone-like girl to shake. Jasper wanted to cut the girl some slack, so she shook it. She turned back to her side and shot her eyes back to the common hall area to see a frail, skinny boy running up behind her. On top of that, his hair was dyed an obnoxious baby pink.

"My friend Lars is coming down here any minute now," Sadie saw Lars next to Jasper, "Oh- well- This is Lars, Lars meet Jasper." Lars and Jasper didn't say a word to one another, but just made eye contact and shook it off.

"Sadie, you'll never guess who I got partnered up with. Hint: their name starts with an s and ends with a p,"

"Shep?! You've got to be kidding me," Sadie blushed and scratched the back of her neck awkwardly. Jasper couldn't take any more of the blonde girl and her weird pink-haired friend, so she casually walked away.

Connie waltzed up to her dorm with multiple rolling-suitcases in her hand. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maheswaran, were carrying her other bags with her. They were the kind of parents who would help their kid with anything, so once Connie reached her first day of college they got to it. As Connie and her parents were dragging the suitcases to her dorm, she had a feeling. This is going to be great! She thought with a heart-warming smile. She checked out the list earlier and found out that she was partnered with Bismuth! She couldn't have asked for a better partner. To be fair, she didn't know Bismuth that well, but Steven had said many good things about her. Bismuth was one of his friends from high school before she graduated. The rolling of the bags stopped as they finally saw the correct dorm.

Dorm 147.

She put her hand up to the door and brushed it open lightly. She saw Bismuth kneeled down putting her clothes into the bottom drawer of a dresser that Connie assumed she built. From what Steven said, Bismuth was very talented in that sort of thing. Bismuth looked up skeptically to see Connie and her parents filing into the room, getting straight to business at the speed of light. Connie and Bismuth looked at each other from time-to-time but didn't really get a chance to speak.

Amethyst was not happy with who she received as her dorm partner. Well, partners. Amethyst took a chance last year and chose to be in a dorm with two other individuals instead of only one. When she looked back at that moment, the sting she would get in the back of her throat told her that she did definitely regret it. She walked her and her bag up to the pink-painted dorm door.

"Alright, Amy, here you go," She breathed out to herself. Her hand met the cold silver doorknob and with one last deep breath, she twisted it open. Inside revealed Pearl, a skinny, pale girl who happened to have a bad habit of being SUPER tidy 24/7. Lapis, who Amethyst knew from high school, was in the other bedroom which couldn't be visible to people who had just walked in.

"Why hello, Amethyst. You don't seem to be very happy," Pearl had her signature cocky grin she used to torture Amethyst with last year.

"It's because I'm with you," Amethyst spat out. Pearl did a fake pout. Amethyst rolled her eyes at her and started unpacking her things onto her bed. Every year the college has its official move-in day, which was the day before classes began. Before that day, the students are free to put in any furniture they want in the dorms and claim which beds they wanted. If Amethyst had ran into Pearl at the time she was moving in her furniture, she would've most definitely had sent a request to switch roommates. Lapis came out of her room, her eyes searching for her other roommate.

"Hey, Amy! Long time no see," Lapis walked up to the purple-haired girl and gave her a slight side-hug. Pearl looked over at them but continued on with her folding of clothes.

"I guess so, can you believe we're actually dormmates? Our highschool selves would've loved this!" Amethyst hoped that didn't sound rude. The two girls used to be a dynamic duo back in the eleventh and twelfth grade. Due to them being in separate dorms for the previous two years, they completely distanced.

"I swear. I was hoping we could become closer this year," Lapis let out an awkward laugh while she rubbed her arm.

"I guess we can,"

Steven's fingers ran through his curly, ruffled hair nervously. It was late in the day and Buck still hadn't shown up to their dorm yet. His thoughts went to Buck being dead to him just forgetting about the move-in day in general. Steven laid back on his bed and stared up at the ceiling. He was nearly consumed in his thoughts when he heard the doorknob click. He turned his head and saw Buck walk in with his boyfriend following behind him. Sour-cream's white fluffy hair bobbed up and down across the room until the pair got to Buck's room, that is before Steven stopped them.

"Buck! Where have you been? It's nearly 11:00 pm," Steven exclaimed as he hopped off the bed.

"Sorry, Sour-Cream kept distracting me," Buck side-eyed his lover while a semi-smirk. Steven noticed how messy the two looked. Sour-Cream's hoodie was barely on properly, with the hood going all types of directions. Buck's lips were bruised as if he had gotten them attacked.

"I can tell, well please unpack quietly. I'm going to go to bed," Steven didn't want to think about Buck and his lover anymore. All he wanted to do was rest his body on his soft mattress and dream about other things. He was interrupted by a bzz of his phone before he could do so. He picked it up. A bright message from Connie instantly popped on the screen.

C: Hey! I just wanted to check up on you and see how things were going. Did you unpack?

S: I did. Buck just came in with Sour-Cream. The two seemed to have had a fun night.

C: I'm sorry... Must be rough... I miss you!

S: I miss you too, Connie. It'll be a miracle if I even sleep tonight. It's pretty hard to fall asleep to rave music at 1 AM. Who are you bunched with?

C: I actually got pretty lucky and got Bismuth! She seems really nice but we didn't get a chance to talk.

Re-Reading the message that Connie wrote to him, he scoffed and rolled his eyes.

'I'd so much rather have Bismuth then Buck. Oh well, guess I can't change it now.' He thought.

Steven plopped over on his side, he looked at the clock wedged on the nightstand beside his silky mattress.

'It's getting pretty late. I should just try to go to bed,'

With one final glance at his phone, he told Connie goodnight and attempted to get some sleep.
