The most surprising thing about dating Katsuki Bakugou was not that he was cuddly. It was a pleasant discovery though. Especailly since Shouto was always a bit touch starved due to his upbringing. Katsuki just loved to curl up in his side on movie nights in the common room. Loved to hold his hand and almost melts into Todoroki every time he throws an arm over the shorter males shoulders. Katsuki just loved to be held and touched. And when Shouto hugged him from behind? That one normally earned him a content sigh or almost nonexistent giggle. It was the cutest thing ever.
Not that he had the most adorable soft spot for small animals. The amount of kittens that flocked to Katsuki though was a bit alarming, there were just so many. When he and Suki started dating it only took a week to figure out that he'd been hiding a kitten in his dorm room. He'd always wondered why Katsuki was so strict on no one going in his dorm, and then he fully understood when he'd been let into the room. Mister Sir Doctor Professor Explosion was a small nine month old grey kitten with black uneven socks on all his paws. He had half his tail gone and a large hole through his right ear and he too loved cuddles. Suki told him that he found him in an alley way a few days before summer break ended and had no where else to put him while he was healing. The only other person to know bout the kitten was Izuku who smuggled in cat food and treats for Katsuki under his baggy clothes.
He was only partly surprised to see how close Katsuki and Izuku were. He figured that after they'd made up they'd be friendly with each other but it was like they had their own language. It seemed that when his Suki dropped the chip on his shoulder, they just picked back up how they used to be when they were kids. Before quirks were a thing for them that is.
It was a sight to say the least. Watching the two of them dance around each other and not be worried for Izuku's life coming to an end was something the whole class and Aizawa had to get used to. It was just weird to see Izuku helping Katsuki with studying with his English work and Katsuki excitedly showing Izuku new moves he thought the boy could use in battle.
It made Shouto kind of jealous even if he refused to admit it. When he did admit it though it was steamy. Both with his quirk setting off at the same time which had him literally blowing steam out of his ears and with the follow up make out and grope session when he dragged Suki off to his room shortly after he wiped his ears of the condensation.
Katsuki made it his mission it seemed to make Shouto as jealous as he could some days. Both Izuku and Kaminari were always confused when they were hanging out with their explosive blonde friend one second and turning around to not find him anywhere the next. It got so bad that one time Izuku started to come up with theories that Katsuki had a second quirk that allowed him to disappear into thin air. Shouto thinks he heard something about a whole notebook being dedicated to the research of Katsuki having a second quirk.
The main surprise he had was certainly not the fact the no matter the ingredients you give him he's going to make you the most amazing meal you've ever had. His man made the best cold soba in the world and you'll never be able to change his mind on the subject.

What surprised Shouto Todoroki the most was just how soft the blonde's hair was.
Honestly!
He always thought that the spikes that covered the blondes head were held up by gel or hairspray! But it's not? It's an extremely super rare thing called Uncombable Hair Syndrome and it's the wildest thing Shouto's ever heard. The only thing Suki does to his hair in the morning is brush it and run his hands through it to kind of clump sections together but other than that his hair stands up like that naturally .
Shouto didn't believe Suki at first but then he saw him step out the shower, towel dry his hair and sat there baffled as he watched his hair slowly rise on it's own accord with no help as it dried.
Suki's hair was so unbelievably soft Shouto found himself constantly running his fingers through it and laying his face on top of the blondes head. He just couldn't get enough of it. Then when Kat switched conditioners? Todoroki had to physically restrain himself from latching onto the blondes hip and keep his hands away from the blonde's head.
Since the two started dating a year after graduation, they've been inseparable. They even moved in together. The apartment they found was close to their shared agency and not to far from their friend's that rented out an entire apartment complex together. They were originally living there separately and then Shouto moved into Katsuki's apartment and then moved out to a bigger complex about four blocks down.
Shouto is across the city right now though with Sero at a small little shop that specializes in custom made jewelry. Kirishima had suggested it when he heard of Shouto's plans and Shouto honestly loved the idea of something unlike any other in the world for his Suki.
Because his Suki was indeed like nothing else in this world. There wasn't a damn thing that could ever compare to him. His blond was his world, which was why he set aside reservations for a month from now when the ring was to be finished.
He hoped one day soon he could become Shouto Bakugou or even hyphenate his name if that's what his Kitten wants.
It didn't matter to Shouto though, because as long as he had Katsuki by his side he was happy.
