He ran.
He needed to get as far away as possible. Far away from the ones who had mocked him, disgraced him, abandoned him.
Aaron couldn't differentiate the heavy droplets of rain and his own tears. He ran for hours, days, months... he couldn't tell at this point. He didn't know where he would go. He didn't care. All that he cared about at this point was his burning desire to find somewhere that he would be safe. Someone who would truly love him.
As the final wave of nausea came over him, his exhausted and overworked legs failed to keep up with the other, resulting in a loud crack.
Even this useless sack of meat he called a body had betrayed him.
