"Sonic, can I ask you something?" Alex Kidd asked Sonic while they were racing around the tropical beaches of Seaside Hill.
"Go ahead I'm listening." Sonic said, casually twirling around a yellow ring and then chucking it at a nearby spring.
"Why do you hang out with those Smashers so much?" Alex asked.
Sonic rubbed his chin as he took the time to think about this. "Hmm... good question."
They then bumped into a bunch of items that were just laying around, with Tails trying to work on something as he noticed this.
"Oops... sorry about that!" Tails apologized as he took off his binoculars. "The Smashers were suppose to help me out with this, but I guess they bailed on me."
