Author's Note: Greetings, fans! And welcome to my new story… the "Pre-Prophet — The Line Between Two Lives". Now… I know it's been awhile since the last time I've written a story of Harry Potter… but… Although it's been awhile since years ago… I have decided to write not just Harry Potter… but also a mix between Harry Potter and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters in a crossover! A crossover between two stories in one roll… and this is my first time I've ever done so. So, please take it easy on me on this story although it's my first time doing a crossover and even a long time in years since I ever wrote a Harry Potter story. I know I haven't written any in years and I'm not sure if anyone of you missed me writing stories of Harry Potter. I apologize if that is the case… and I deeply regret that fully.
Now, with that settled…
Before you read, I must caution you that you need to read/watch Harry Potter and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters before you actually read this story.
For this story, what you're about to read mostly focuses on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters more than Harry Potter.
The story you're about to read may interest you or amuse you… for this tale happens at the time after the end of the Battle City finals arc and at the same time, after the end of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (or Philosopher's) Stone. The story happens to take place before the story of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters ended and a "hidden gap" before Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets began.
Within the timeline… there was a fact that there was a "hidden" like part. The story begins from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters side… at least, after two weeks later when the Battle City finals concluded and at the time Harry Potter was almost twelve years old… and yet, when these two stories collides… It was then that there was something that was a question mark unknown…
(Disclaimer: I do not think that it is a fact that it was there… but I'll let you be the judge of that. I'm only just adding something that I twisted up… but in a very… mysterious way. I can't say if it's true, but I will tell you that maybe I'm just… leaving it as a "possible". All I could say is… is that I find it interesting in a combination that was never thought of. Maybe I'm imagining or just simply… just a writer that reads and watches too much in life. I have watched/read Yu-Gi-Oh! and Harry Potter a lot… so… don't think I'm being a person that's right about this accuracy. Now, simply just sit back… and enjoy the ride… of reading this tale…)

Chapter 1: The Commotion
Ryou Bakura… was thoroughly a man that simply loves to hear a certain conversation… at least, when he's not on a day that had a certain issue. He simply was working through his thoughts… as he waited patiently for someone he was supposed to meet. He wasn't as to be sure as to why he hasn't seen the man… but… What he didn't expect… was the man was invisible from within. The man was watching him afar, constantly in patience waiting for the moment to arrive. As the man that… seemed to be mysterious, he was looking for a certain reason to come and talk to Ryou one on one. As he works through his own mind, he rather referred him to speak alone… but unfortunately, for this all… Yami Bakura was not that alone. He was not that alone… for he was a man that had certain others…
The others that were… nearby him was unknown to that someone… but… at least… to the boy that was invisible.
As he works upon his mind, there were certain others as well. He was going to be alone at first, but then… Ryou Bakura had others that wanted to hang around him. It was only one afternoon when… they settled for two whole hours and they were just going to… await for their surprise. The surprise was another person that was supposed to attend in such a late point… but to Yami Bakura, it was nothing to him at all. He simply couldn't overheard the conversation at all. Ryou Bakura was thoroughly exhausted from listening in on a conversation. The conversation was nothing, but secretly making him truly exhausted. He was thoroughly in a tired yawn… from listening over his own friends.
He was very sleepy and drowsy from actually staying awake for five hours straight… due to some… investigation on some report about a certain call to address. He was a man that had a certain life like us… but his case, he was a man that has a certain workforce to hold. As he works in his known task, he was thoroughly tired from actually enforcing as well as to listened in on his friends' conversations. He simply tapped his foot constantly and growled in anger. Throughout the time, he was getting impatient with them… and… He wanted to go someplace else… besides hanging around with Yugi Moto and his friends. He was… not only to be enforced with such… He was told to stay with them throughout the whole day… to make sure he heard what they wanted from him… at this time of day.
It was like he never wanted this to happen. The boy, Ryou, or as known as Yami Bakura, couldn't withstand being with them anymore. He was thoroughly overdone with their talk and he hated it completely that it's wasting his time. He was getting such irritation… with it all… and he was… He was even getting irritated with himself as well… and his friends, apparently, couldn't stop telling him not to avoided them. They told him to remained in his seat to await for his friends to be all accounted for… but he… Ryou, couldn't say he was, at least, to be in pleasure about this all. He couldn't withstand his own argument with them and so… He was told to remained with them until the dawn to dusk came closing.
To be precise as to why they wanted him to be with them, there was a certain reason, of course:
As we all know, Yami Bakura returned from his vanished absence after he got sent off to the shadow realm.
During the Battle City tournament, at least… before the semi-finals, Ryou was absent for a few days… and as he was in the shadow realm, his friends wondered where he went off to. They were worried about him after a man name Marik Ishtar challenged him in a shadow game… a Yami no game. In the shadow game, Ryou lost by default and he disappeared within the realm… and couldn't come back… that is, until… he returned in a mysterious way. After what happened, Ryou was overall not extremely around for the Battle City tournament after it concluded and he simply… cared so less. He couldn't say that he was pleased to see them… and he simply doesn't wanted to ask.
Yugi and the others asked for the details of his whereabouts… and why he didn't returned so sooner. When Ryou explained as of what happened to him, they told him in return, that Marik was not harmful at all… and he became a better person… but Yami Bakura, on the other hand, said that he rather not bothered about it. He didn't wanted to plucked questions… but for Yugi, he didn't find it all as well. For two weeks, he insisted on speaking with Ryou… telling him that he will keep one of the seven treasures of an artifact… one of the Millennium Items… the Millennium Ring. As he spoke… about his terms… Yugi made a valuable bargain of a decision… to find out about Ryou and what he secretly holds. Yugi suspected that Ryou was concealing a truth… a secret about the Millennium Items… and he jumped to conclusions that Yami Bakura knows too much information. And so… Yugi made a proposition to Ryou… to hang out with him and his friends. He made a price to Yami Bakura that if he hangs out with them…
Yugi wanted a trade in return that he should confessed about the items.
As weeks went passed… Yugi and the others constantly bothered him, telling him to hang out and talk… and it annoyed Yami Bakura. He was getting ticked from their endless instances… and one day, his Hikari, Ryo Bakura, even insisted for him to go with them. They simply kept reminding him to always stay with them… which made Ryou quite simmered. He felt like he couldn't stand it anymore with their continuous behavior. It was starting to get redundant and ridiculous to his life… for he was not going to continued with their conversations any longer. He wanted to break it up… and simply… go off to another place for peace and quiet. And yet…
In addition, he wanted to find… someone on his own.
The man that he waited for… was none other… than the boy who was, coincidentally, the man that was…
…the boy from England.
The boy he wanted to meet was someone he didn't know… but it left him with questions to ponder.
Where is that boy and why? Yami Bakura thought in a brooding manner dully. Where is he and why must he be this late? It's been three whole hours now… Where could he be? Where is he and why is he coming this late point? Where must he be at a time like this? I'm so… tired of listening to them… He yawned as he stretched… slouching on the lounge chair.
As he sat nearby the lounge, he was under an umbrella like stand at a near shop… The shop that was owned by also another close friend. Their friend, Duke Devlin, was simply a man that wanted his own way of life… by helping his dad at work. After their sudden meet… from their first time according to what we know, Duke was a man that simply loves a game of Dungeon Dice Monsters. He was a man that cannot retrace his life after what happened with the co-creator, Maximillion Pegasus… He was a man that simply thinks just more than games. As he works in his part time job, Ryou was very amused and very… impressed by such finery although he was… flattened. He was rather impressed with it all… and yet…
There was still remaining time to consider how this tale should start out. There was a simple point to tell this all… but such way. There was a fact to leave and tell how it's told… but for some, let us tell how this piece placed in… We all know this tale was separable and even… so mysterious… but, we shall get to partake this tale and told how it unfolds. This is a tale between two men and others that are… involved with each other… but with such great potential. This tale that's about to reveal… may turned out… to be a big twisted knot. In this case, we are aware that they were known and why… Why must they know amongst themselves… and even been so together as… acquaintances?
We shall tell how this role between a man and another will collide into one… so…
Let us tell this right now…
Here is the story between two lives that share a connection from their worlds… for this tale involves Ryou Bakura… and… a boy we'll talk about in the very end of this content. In the meantime, let us tell how this all starts…
So, without as such hesitation, let us now begin:
To start this tale, the following was actually a fill in the blank… but don't take those words for it. It was not expected to be as this… but then, who are we to say it was… that ordinary? It was like no way to tell… but… We let you be within the secret… Who… would have thought that the boy invisible will able to reveal as to who he is? Who would have thought he is… a boy from another tale we know as well? It was as if it was never been told… but what do you suppose it should be as well for you? Do we know as to who he really is?
The answer lies upon this all…
Who would have thought that one day Ryou Bakura had a certain unordinary adventure besides Yugi and company? Who would have thought that particular day that he… receives a phone call from… a man that was… so familiar? Who would have thought that boy wanted to be with him as he crossed his way all the way from a certain dislocated area unknown? The unknown… was something we… already knew… but it was concluded in a very gap way. But… If we were to tell as such, the story remained untracked and off the lines… but then, we were as sure to live for it to stop. Who… must think there was more to be said than over? In some point, Ryou Bakura will live a tale he could ravish over forever… but if he exists. He will forever remembers, but with such valuable price to have.
This is how this plays out…
To start this out, let us explain the details on how they meet:
Before this story began, Ryou Bakura was minding his own business after the Battle City finals. When he came home, he was leaving on a trip to… Cairo, Egypt… when abruptly… There was… a certain phone call. The phone call was seen as an… unfamiliar like voice that he never heard before… It was… a person he was supposed to encounter… but it was unknown as to when he will. He was a little out of line and always… suspected that it was… a mysterious caller… but today, something was not exactly the same. He was a man that certainly loves less calls… but this… was not one of them. It was true that he will receive this person from the line… at least, the source of the caller.
So… With this said, let us explain further words from… the tale of this chapter…
Ryou Bakura was always a man with words to say… but this time, things got more… out of line and so…
…well thought and clever.
Now, we begin to wonder as to why we didn't hear this before… and why it cannot be given away this fast… but now, let us see how to tell it this clearly…
He, Ryou, wanted to know where the voice was from and why it hasn't mention where it was from. What else he didn't spoke about… was that… he was investigated by some… Japanese and mixed like authorities. The police claimed that he was monitored by his recent calls when he first had the mysterious phone call… and as weeks went by, Ryou was told to remain silent about his certain unknown caller. When the police asked during the weeks, he wasn't as to be sure where it could be traced… but they said that he shouldn't say a word to anyone… especially Yugi and them. As the days continued, the call constantly bothered him endlessly for five weeks… but… There was no person that came. There was no person to affront and he… simply couldn't withhold anymore about it. All in all… he was a little off of himself… and we knew what it means when he's off about some call.
For the next two weeks, he was a little off of himself and hated such life to have… but for once, he wanted to know the truth about the caller. As the days went by, he was perplexed and annoyed with some… call that won't stop receiving over on his answering machine. He simply said that he can't withstand about it all… but he knew it was going to happen, sooner or later. He then muttered that he can't stand the phone and he tried to shut it off… but then, when he did… The police said they had enough about his unplugged cable. As he continued with the cable problem, he was rather upset and he screamed in harassment about this all… and so… He was left to hear it forever for five weeks… in such bitter hell. He simply couldn't take about it at all… but then again…
After such few days later, Ryou simply wanted to just meet a person that he wanted to encounter… and he wanted to find a certain person the he overheard in the phone call. The phone call was not what it appears after the next two weeks… and what happened on a late small night on Monday… Ryou… heard a mystery man instead that replaced the mysterious voice. He was… a man that can't say anything… but just only… small code numbers. He simply worded that he needs a help in need and he… was only just a young man. He was a man that cannot say his name… until he meets before his face. He then said the following words that he needs a man that's older… a man that was from Japan… at least, in Domino… to be precise. As the days gone off to the sun, he was rather offish and less in fear. He simply waited… and waited near him.
Yet… before we start this off… there were…
…simple like words to give before we begin the start… that they met together.
Ryou used to hear it during the weeks passed by. During their harassment with him, the phone call was also a disturbance to him… and it made his life worse. His life was not what it seems to be for him… and to cap it all, Ryou seemed overwhelmed and thoroughly distressed. He felt like his life was tearing apart… besides what he contained away in his heart. In his heart… his mind was fighting through all his technical difficulties. The difficulties of his life in Japan in the heart of Domino City. He was having the worst experience time of his life… that he ever had. It was like he never wanted as such to live it all out.
Ryou Bakura was a man with such sad like life… but also a man to choose who he wishes… but with such doubts, he was always a man to have it all. Who would have thought he had a life to live for? What else could he possibly hide from others? Could he really be a man with such nice friends… or is it? In this case, do we know who he truly is? Do we know as to why he never spoke that much in public? Why must we settle as such upon him and not his friends? Must we really hear this man instead of Yugi and others?
Now, Yugi… and the others were at such cruelty to life as his… but don't say we didn't warn you… Could it be we hear them out? But why must we hear this all this way? Why must we settle a man and that one invisible? We knew it was this way and why, but all in all…
Let us tell about a certain people near Ryou Bakura…
Now, about these people… Yugi and them… We all know who they are and why they are this sad around their own lives… but then again… Like we say, were we leaving them from this tale? Could this mean there was a way they are in? What must we say to this as well? Could we say we were this small around them each? But… What say to you that they are left behind? They are within this tale as well… but…
We will depart them away very soon…
For now… Let us tell about them all.
Yugi… the boy we know as the "king of games", was actually being within parts of this tale and there was no such word that he wasn't. He was a little offish around his friends and hate even himself. He was a man that cannot stay away from such life as well… but he knew it was no such. He was a bit offish and tried to apologize to Yami Bakura… but he knew it was no sense of doubts and feelings. He was a little off lined… but he knew it was no such to him. He was, at least, a man that cannot replay his memories… but he knew that Yami Bakura could for him. He was a man to cry about friends… but with such upsetting results. Yami Bakura simply rolled his eyes as we mentioned about at this.
I didn't feel the need to listen at all… but I knew he was a man to care… is what he says as this. I didn't meant to care at his certain feelings. What is it with this man anyway?! What is he and why? What must he think that I would care?
As we head towards his friends, we are feeling a little off coursed to this tale… but Yugi and the others were just… hanging by the lounge with Ryou… but why must it really be so? What makes them at least be within? Who are they and why are they just in the background?
The answer was just as told…
They were simply just eating off their food and not say who they were.
As we approach this tale to a conclusion, it was to wonder as to why we cannot say anymore about them each.
So…
With that said, let us go on to the main piece of the tale…
Here is the story we awaited to hear:
So… With Yugi Moto and the others were just trying to occupied him for five minutes as they waited for a boy that they were expecting… yet, it was not what Ryou had upon his own. Yugi and company were just hanging about as they wanted to hang within a café that Duke Devlin invited them in. It was the grand opening of his father's and he was actually willing to give them a treat: By simply giving them free desserts and certain meals directly from the café. Duke's father was happy to oblige at such, and so… Yugi and the others decided to stay for just one afternoon. It was only past noon as they stayed… and they wanted to waited for one more friend to join them… and it was a surprise, at least, for Ryou Bakura. And yet, although it seems to be so, Yami Bakura was carried away from actually paying any attention. He wanted to think of someone… someone for once besides them all.
In the worst, Ryou was rather a man that cannot withstand as such about his friends. He was a man that cannot always depend on others… but all the same, he was a man that wanted to be… a loyal friend. As he waited for him… the man he expected, he thought critically to himself as he listened about their latest conversation… It was none other than Yugi Moto and his known pals. He simply tapped impatiently against the table as he… overheard their latest talk:
"…So… What are you guys doing? What are you guys doing when you…?" Yugi… looked to his left and said in a yell… that startled Ryou… "Hey… Are you paying any attention?!"
"…What?" Ryou blankly said, ceasing his tapping immediately. He then looked up… staring upon each of them. He spoke in a bored way. "…What did you say?"
Yugi sighed, approaching towards him. He then pulled his sleeve of his collared white shirt. He was told to wear his outfit of his work clothes. He then said loudly at him, "…I asked if you like anyone to talk with you! What is it with you?!" Yugi spoke in an anger, scowling upon him.
"…What's wrong… is you." Ryou scowled at his face. It was like a bad scenery to them both… and his friends… "…I must think you need… some other person instead of me. What do you want?" He snarled at him darkly.
Yugi… started whining and cried a little in a hollow way. He couldn't stand anything about the way he gets when he's mad… especially at him for five days. He simply whimpered and sobbed in tears, "…And I thought you care! I thought you like this to be our talk! Why won't you…?!"
"…Why should I? I don't… care at all!" He screamed at his face and simply pulled his arm away. He let his sleeve be sheered from his grip. He then adjusted his collared like attire. "…Can't you see that you are bothering me? I need to think for now of…" He looked away and cast a glance towards the sun. It was nearly past the hour and he was… rather exhausted. "…I can't seem to find that boy…" he mumbled as he says the words. What is he and why must he be not here? Where is he?
"…Hey… Who… are you waiting for?" Yugi asked in a very curious and sad wonder. "…Where are you… going exactly? What are you doing right now? Is it… important than us? Why are you in those clothes? How come?"
"…I just…" What's the point at all about this? Who am I that I could be this man to live for? What is me and why must I care at all? I just wish I knew what should be done. What can I do at least… until he comes? I have a feeling he might appear… maybe today… "…What are you to me, Yugi Moto? Who are you and why do you always enforce such things at me? Why do we need to hang every single day?!"
"…Because I can't… I can't seem to remember my memories… Why won't you help me?!" Yugi whined in sadness… tearing in shed tears. "…I thought you like me to be your…"
"…Well, I thought you wasted five minutes or more than usual…" he said, checking his watch. "…You wasted five minutes on you and I… can't seem to find a man I need to see today… Now, talk with the others… for now…"
He then stood up and simply took his dessert with him. He ate the orange cream with him… and left to go towards the bench. The man that was invisible followed in suit.
He simply floated silently behind him and said a slow word… "…Hey… What are you eating? Is that good?"
"…What did you say?" He blankly spoke and looked… but there was no one… at least, to his view point. He then turned in different directions. He looked left and right… and then, he scowled and scratched his head in conundrum. "…Who was that? Who was there?"
"…Hey… What are you asking for?" The voice worded in his ear. "…What are you doing?" The voice pulled his ear… and he felt the tug and said, "…Hey… Are you that man I spoke before?"
He then went… mute and silent.
"…What the…?" Ryou spoke with such blank stare. He scratched his head again. He was rather off lined and… puzzled at this all. "…Who was that?" He mumbled to himself. "…Who was that really?"
"…Hey… What are you…?" Yugi… spoke loudly at him and said… in a sudden yell to add, getting up from his seat, "…Get off me! Who's there?!"
"…What do you mean? Who was there?" Joey Wheeler spoke as he ate his ice cream and frowned. "…Yug… calm down, man… Nothing is there… so just…" He forced him to sit down… letting him slumped heavily hard. It made Yugi hissed in pain. "…Hey… What were you saying about… someone? Who is it?" He licked the ice cream and snarled at him with a look.
"…I was just…" Yugi shook his head… sighing in heave. He then said in surrender, "…Never mind… I thought there was…" He then… returned to speak amongst the conversation about a person that was going to arrive… but then… He greeted within five seconds. "…There you are! Glad you came! So… How are you?!"
"…Well, I was going to leave… but since you… brought someone to join… Hey!" He added in a tone. It was… the surprise that met his attention… at least, for Ryou. It was Marik that seem to arrive in such late hour. "…Where were you?!"
Great… how sappy… just wonderful about him too… Well, at least I can go home very soon… I guess I am going to see that boy for tomorrow… "…Hey…" He waved at Marik with a small laugh… approaching out of the bench… "…Good to see you. So… What have…" He took a sip at his ice cream. "…What have you been doing? You were the… the surprise?"
"…Well, I was being that way at first… that I was going to pay the rent of the boat, but I guess I could hang later…" He turned to look at Yugi. "…By the way, is this party over? I don't know if it is… but are you… going to eat all day here?"
"…What makes you think it was a party? What are you?" Yugi asked with a brow as he ate his grape ice cream in a lick. "…It's supposed to be… a meeting about the pharaoh… So…" Yugi turned to look upon Ryou. "…What is it with you and why do you wear that exactly?" He then tilted his head to the side. "…Why are you wearing something fancy? Is it a meeting or a… simple party like? So… Are you…" He ate his last piece of grape. "…Are you acting like you had to go somewhere?"
"…Well, I was going somewhere… but I'm… going to soon head home and wait for that guy…" He then checked his watch and said, "…See you… and next time, think twice before you invite me again. Well…" He turned to Marik. "…See you, man… and I need to go home. I promise my Hikari to eat some meals with me."
"…What kind of meals?" The voice whispered softly in an interruption. "…What are you having?"
"…What the…?!" He gasped and shouted out loud… for others to look at him. He then clasped his mouth together and muttered, "…Don't bother… I hate this…" He then composed himself once more. "…Well, see you…"
"…Are you leaving?" Yugi frowned as he went off slowly. He then frowned at the air as well. "…Did you hear… anything lately?" He added and thumbed at the sky. "...Never mind… I guess it was nothing… See you…"
He waved and headed towards the sun with the others. He then took another look… and he left Ryou alone… to head towards the Domino apartments.
Ryou… watched him go and then, he checked his watch and sighed. He then closed his eyes and thought to himself. I guess I was a little tired out… but what am I? Who am I exactly about such life I had? Who am I that I am this alone?
Well… I'm not so sure… but I knew you said that. I knew you from the beginning, but what's your name? Can you tell me?
What…? Who is…? Who is there?
Um… I knew who you were, but I'll see you next week. Maybe you and I could… be alone tomorrow. See you.
The mind was shut off and then… there was silence.
Ryou sighed again and then… made a face and shouted at the air, "…What is this?!"
See you… but I knew you are being… off like. He laughed as he left away mysteriously. He then added with a laugh… See you next week… but I need to go outside for later… See you tomorrow.
And then the voice… said no more… like before.
Ryou… frowned and lowered his head. He then left to go towards… his house and spoke in mutterings for five to six hours and he was… perplexed throughout his life… for the whole day.
As we conclude this all, it was, at least, the beginning of this all… and so, with that…
We see you in the next…
…when Ryou set forth about the cloaked like man…
…The Boy Who Lived.
Author's Note: Well, this brings the end of the first chapter of the "Pre-Prophet — The Line Between Two Lives". I must say it was amusing… but until then, I shall go and leave you to judge the tale… Thank you and see you later…
