Woodchuck

Of all the phone calls to receive, Sheriff Jody Mills wasn't expecting this one.

"I need your help with a woodchuck."

The gruff voice of Bobby Singer, local drunkard turned friend, assaulted her eardrums through the receiver and, quite frankly, scrambled Jody's brain just a little bit.

"What?" Jody asked, after having paused for a moment from the sheer absurdity of that sentence.

"Ya heard me," Bobby said. "I need ya to come over here and help me kill a damn woodchuck."

The first thing Jody theorized was that Bobby Singer was most certainly drunk off his rocker once again. The second thing she noticed was his almost desperate, slightly nervous tone that began to creep into her mind and put her the slightest bit on edge herself. Jody tried to shake off the feeling by walking closer to the back door of her kitchen and staring out at the backyard. It always seemed to calm her down, to know there was a world outside of her kitchen. At least she hoped it would, as she continued fidgeting with a short string at the bottom of her fraying flannel shirt.

"You fix cars," Jody let out a deep sigh. "You hunt monsters for a living, and you want my help with a tiny furry creature?"

"Just get over here to Rufus' cabin," Bobby snapped, but quickly stopped. He let the next words come out in a much gentler way. "I'm sure the boys have told you where it is by now. I'm here with the woodchuck. Get here as soon as you can. Little bastard is giving me a hell of a time."

The phone line went dead when Bobby hung up and Jody clicked the phone back into its rightful place. Quickly, she grabbed a piece of paper, wanting to commit Rufus' address to memory and tearing the piece of paper from the rest of the pad. Her keys flew into her hand and she, carefully, made her way to her truck and started it.

Ever since the Leviathan debacle, Jody had kept a low profile. She hadn't ignored calls from the boys, mostly because barely any calls came, but when they did Jody kept them short. She hadn't wanted to get herself mixed up in the current mess that was befalling the world. She'd tried a few local hunts, but all had turned up dead ends. Mostly kids messing around and destroying things and wild animals eating livestock. Nothing to get too excited about.

She thought about Bobby and whether he was safe or not at that cabin by himself. The thought was silly in itself, of course Bobby was safe. He had been a hunter longer than her. Did he have enough food? Was he getting enough sleep? Overdrive kicked in and Jody's brain couldn't stop.

That led to thoughts of the man's lips on a glass full of his choice of poison, which led to other images she'd never have dreamed of conjuring up in public, and an uncomfortable growing feeling down south.

Jody heard a beep that shocked her back to reality. The light had turned green and the car behind her was growing impatient.

She determined she'd write them a citation for harassing a cop or something later, just to save her from the embarrassment of having to explain what she'd really been zoning out about.

"You told me it was a woodchuck."

"I may have embellished a little."

Bobby and Jody stood in the center of Rufus' dingy basement. The air was stale and dusty. Mites, basement bugs, and other things Jody didn't even want to see with a flashlight crawled around in corners and kept themselves hidden. There was only one window and it was so caked with dirt there was no seeing through it.

There was also a Leviathan strapped to a chair.

"They're everywhere," Bobby explained, turning to her. "You think I could just say over the phone point blank the word Leviathan. I had to use some kind of word they couldn't figure out."

"So, you choose a cute innocent creature." Jody rolled her eyes and took a look at the monster before them. It was doing its best to thrash around and try to get free from its confines, but Bobby had bound its limbs tightly to the chair. It wasn't going anywhere.

More inappropriate thoughts of handcuffs and ropes. Jody shifted slightly to the left, trying to hide her discomfort and to focus.

"Woodchucks ain't cute," Bobby gave her a look. "What planet are you from?"

"You know what would be super cute," the Leviathan suddenly spoke, causing both Bobby and Jody to jump. "If the two of you would get room already and then untie me."

The comment came as a shock to both parties and Jody could only hope that Bobby didn't see if her cheeks changed colors or not in response. Bobby moved closer to the creature, giving it a once over before speaking.

"Not a snowball's chance in hell are ya getting out of here," Bobby said. "I don't appreciate the lip either."

"Get used to it sweet cheeks," the Leviathan smirked. "Not much of a difference you can make by taking one of us. We're still gonna win."

Bobby thought of saying something back, but instead shrugged his shoulders and stood up straight once again. Jody could see the resignation in his eyes when he turned to face her. The Leviathan continued to laugh as the pair made their way to the stairs. Jody casting one last look the monster's way and feeling an eerie chill creep up her spine.

"You want some coffee?" Bobby asked, a cup already in his hand. He motioned it forward and raised his eyelids.

"Already running on full," Jody waved him off. "Thank you though."

"No problem," Bobby sighed and took another sip.

"I can cook-ish," Jody admitted. "You want me to make something?"

"I'm fine with a liquid diet as of now," Bobby replied. "But I'll keep ya in the loop."

Jody nodded, finally picking up one of the coffee cups so she had something to do with her hands. She cupped the mug with both hands, feeling the warmth flood them, and took a small sip.

"Any ideas on how to kill our woodchuck?" Jody added a hint of playfulness in her tone and Bobby let a tiny smirk come over his features. It took everything the two of them had not to break into a larger bout of laughter.

"Not a damn clue," Bobby shook his head. "I've put a bullet through him, stabbed him with a knife, nothing works."

"Well damn," Jody continued to smile. "I was really hoping for some more action."

Bobby stared at her for a moment, clutching his coffee cup a bit tighter, and she noticed him licking his lips ever so slightly.

"Shit," Jody shook her head. "I didn't…that sounded wrong."

"It's fine," Bobby reassured her. "I can take a joke. Think we all need a little humor right now."

Right. A joke. Jody swore she could feel her heart behind her ribcage.

"I'm gonna try and get something more interesting out of this dick," Bobby motioned to the basement. "I'll be down there if you need me. Make yourself at home."

Bobby left Jody alone in the quiet living room. It was dark. The curtains hadn't been vacuumed in years. The cleanliness of the floor left much to be desired. There were plenty of dirty dishes in the sink. Jody sighed.

She could help in other ways.

By the time she was close to done, Jody had scrubbed practically every surface in the cabin. Rufus clearly hadn't been here in years, if he was even still alive, and she assumed he wasn't. She'd ran her fingers over the titles of books on the nearby table, wondering how many Bobby had lost in his house fire. She'd dusted them and found a small vacuum for the surfaces.

Currently, she had begun to scrub the floor.

The water came out of the tap cold and the chemicals smelled strong, but at least Bobby would have a clean floor when she was done.

It was a nice distraction from all the thoughts bouncing around in her head.

She turned to the bucket, her sponge accidentally clipping the side of the bucket and knocking some of the liquid out.

"Shit!" she exclaimed. "Shit! Shit! Shit! Damn it!"

Jody scrambled to try and clean up her mess, but to no avail. The water spread across the floor like blood from a monster corpse and Jody sighed, starting to stand up to look for rags.

Suddenly, she heard a loud thumping sound. The sound of large boots coming from below her. She jumped to attention, reaching for a gun that wasn't there, but instead of the monster she saw Bobby before her with a shocked look on his face.

"Sorry," she said. "Little snafu here."

Bobby rushed forward, wrapping both of his hands around her cheeks and pressing his lips to hers. Jody's eyes flew wide, her body unsure of what to do so she stood statue still. The cleaning liquid still seeped through the floorboards. Jody begun to hear muffled screams.

"Okay," she said, still in shock. "Wasn't expecting that reaction?"

"What was in that bucket?" Bobby asked her, urgently.

Jody sat on the couch in the living room of Rufus' cabin. Bobby had instructed her to call the Winchesters, whomever else was in his call list too, and tell them what they had discovered. This process had essentially taken hours, having had to hunt down several new phone numbers and go through several confused citizens who'd taken over old ones. Once it was done, Jody leaned back into the pillows and let out a deep, shaky breath.

These Leviathans were monsters just the same. They had a weakness. Jody had figured it out.

She couldn't help but feel slightly proud of herself.

Finally, Bobby emerged from the basement, looking tired, but less stressed than before. His hands were covered in a black inky substance, which was also splattered on his plaid shirt, and he held out his hands while he gave Jody a smile.

"Woodchuck's dead," Bobby said. "Thanks for your help."

"Did you burn him to death with human cleaning products?" Jody asked, leaning her head back over the backside of the couch as Bobby tried desperately to wash off his hands. The sound of running water overpowered the room and Jody waited for a response.

No response came.

She got up from the couch and stood behind Bobby, placing a hand on his shoulder. He stopped what he was doing, and she felt him lean into her touch.

"How the hell are we gonna save the world this time?" he sighed.

"I don't know," Jody admitted. "If anybody can do it though, it's you and those boys."

Bobby smiled and wiped his hands until they started to turn red from friction.

"I must admit," Jody said, before she could stop herself. "I haven't been kissed like that in years."

"Ya liked that huh?" Bobby gave a crooked smirk. One that made Jody's chest fill with warmth and the fluttering feeling continued to move further south by the minute.

"Glad an old fart like me could give ya a thrill."

"I believe if you were going to give me a thrill," Jody felt herself issuing a challenge. "You would have done a hell of a lot more than kiss me."

The words hung in the air like laundry out to dry and Jody felt her throat growing increasingly dry after realizing what she'd said. Embarrassment filled her to the brim as Bobby gave her a simple once over without much emotion beyond subtle confusion and interest. They had a damn job to do. Now wasn't the time for her mind to run amuck.

Bobby threw the kitchen towel down on the edge of the counter and pushed his body forward into hers. Their lips met once again, but this time with less fury. This kiss was gentle, sensual.

The second was deeper, as though he was kissing her as if his life depended on it.

By the third kiss the pair had migrated in the direction of the couch.

Bobby took his time, his eyes closed the whole time, running his fingers across her arms and down her sides. Feeling every inch of the woman who now sat atop his lap. Jody's breathing had become ragged, desperately wanting more of the man's dancing fingers.

"End of the world round two huh," Bobby breathed out, his lips meeting her neck and Jody felt herself shiver at the feel of his beard. "Might as well go out with a bang."

That was all it took for Jody to begin to lose her clothes. Her shirt went first, crumbled in a heap on the floor by the coffee table, or something like that. She didn't give a shit. Bobby reached his hands around to try and discard her bra as well, but Jody gently pushed his hands down to his sides. She smiled, capturing his lips, and felt him growing harder underneath her by the passing moment.

"How long?" she asked. He knew what she meant.

"Since the moment you started coming around," Bobby said, and flipped them over so Jody's back hit the couch cushions. Jody let out a small sound at the sudden shift in authority.

"Always had a thing for women in uniforms."

Jody let out a whimper once she felt his hand trailing down her legs and to the space in between them. He cupped her pussy, squeezing ever so slightly, and Jody let out a few other sounds she couldn't control.

"Shall we take this upstairs or shall I take you right here?" Bobby asked.

"What about," Jody moaned when he ran his fingers back over her with a feather light touch. "What about the woodchuck?"

"Chopped its damn head off," Bobby kissed her again, cupping the back of her head with his calloused hand.

"How romantic." Jody snorted.

She was almost paralyzed by Bobby's movements. He ground up against her as they kissed, and she felt herself aching with anticipation after every movement. Jody found that she didn't quite know what she was doing with her hands, but once her brain started to halfway work, she traced a trail from Bobby's shirt down to his zipper and she gripped him gently.

"Shit…" he muttered and let out a deep groan, which only added to Jody's arousal.

Jody tugged at Bobby's shirt and he obliged, throwing it haphazardly on the ground somewhere. Jody enjoyed the way his touch felt, familiar with just a touch of roughness.

She'd always liked things a bit rough.

"Upstairs," she whispered. "Now."

Bobby obliged, using all the strength he had to pick her up from her spot and carry her up the small flight stairs leading to the second-floor bedroom. Upon entering the room, once Bobby managed to kick open the door, Jody noticed a half-unmade bed and a few personal items littered throughout that, she supposed, Bobby had managed to save from the flames. The room had a slightly smoky smell to it. At least there was no dust to be found.

Bobby placed Jody down on the bed as though he were carefully placing her in water and climbed onto the bed himself. Beginning at her feet, he kissed up her legs, causing her to shudder and let out breathy groans. His fingers tugged at her zipper and button and agonizingly slowly, Bobby helped her shed her jeans.

"God," he exclaimed. "You're so beautiful."

Jody knew right then she was blushing. Nobody had talked to her that way in years. Nobody had made her want this with such an aching need deep in her core in years. Judging by the noticeable bulge and wet spot forming at the front of Bobby's pants, nobody had made him feel this way either.

"Don't know where any damn condoms are in this place." Bobby muttered as he palmed at the side table and pulled the drawer out.

"I'm clean," Jody blurted. "Been on the pill for years."

Bobby's eyes met hers and he kissed her again, having taken in what she'd said. There was still a hint of bourbon on his breath, but Jody found it endearing. In fact, she found that other parts of her liked it quite a bit.

Bobby fumbled with his jeans and tried his damndest to kick them off in one smooth motion. Only pausing a minute to pull one leg over his foot, earning a soft chuckle from Jody in the process. At this, he pinned her hand down to the mattress and immediately began to move her panties to the side.

"Something strike you as funny?" he asked, breathlessly and began to lightly tease her with his fingers. Jody bit her bottom lip and arched into his caress. She managed to somehow shake her head no.

Bobby pressed one finger into her, curling it up and stroking the inside of her pussy.

"God damn…" she croaked out. Her eyes rolled into her head before she opened them again and met Bobby's glassy eyes.

He used another finger, gently preparing her and stroking her open for him. His fingers were cracked from wear and tear, but they somehow felt softer now. Jody pressed closer to his hand, wanting to feel every inch of them inside her. Shivers wracked her body as Bobby used his other hand to stroke her legs, teasing her, and he was succeeding. It practically hurt she was so turned on.

"That feel good?" he asked, and she nodded.

"Just tell me when you're ready." He said.

Jody cupped him through his boxers and kissed his neck as she pulled him closer.

Bobby ditched the boxers, completely naked above her and she discarded the remainder of her clothing before pulling his body close to hers. Bobby kept kissing her, even as he slowly teased her before pressing himself all the way inside her.

He grunted, feeling on fire all over almost immediately. It had been so long; the feeling was almost completely overwhelming. Jody readjusted her position, pulled away some hairs that had gotten stuck to her sweaty forehead, and kissed him again.

Bobby waited a few moments, taking in the feel of being inside of a woman after so many years. He tried to calm his breathing, keep his heart rate down to keep from finishing right then and there. Jody nipped at his ear, breathing deeply, and this time it was his turn to shiver and shake. He began to move, painfully slowly, moments later.

The deep dull ache that had once filled Jody's core was starting to subside. It had been so long. Too damn long. She was wordless, practically breathless, as she felt Bobby start to speed up his thrusts.

"Can we…readjust again? I just need a better position." she moaned shortly after when he hit the edge of that sweet spot once again.

Bobby nodded and followed her lead. Jody laid flat on her back, pulling herself closer to him with each new thrust. Jody's eyelids fluttered and she bit her bottom lip at the sensations coursing through her. There were a few awkward movements here and there, but they weren't taking away from the whole. Bobby's hands shook. His hips moved quicker.

"Yes," Jody cried out. "Yes Bobby! Fuck!"

That was all it took for Bobby, he let out a strangled whine and came hard. Feeling the squeezing of Jody's walls all around him had been the straw that broke the camel's back. The older hunter panted, slowing down with each snap of his hips until he was spent. Sweat pooled at his forehead and chest, and he looked down at Jody with lidded eyes.

He could sense her disappointment.

"Ya didn't finish did ya?" he asked.

She sheepishly shook her head, feeling the ache dull even more.

"M'sorry," he tried to slow his breathing as he pulled out of her. "It's just been so long."

"I know." Jody nodded, looking away from him.

She felt a sudden sensation once more and her arousal coming back when she noticed Bobby's head down in between her crotch. She felt something smaller push in this time, his fingers.

"Supposed to be fun for both of us." He remarked and continued the feverish use of his tongue.

Jody felt her toes curl, it was as though she was pushing against something. A familiar sensation started to build deep down in her lower stomach.

"B-Bobby," she whined. "I'm gonna-."

Bobby moaned appreciatively, causing vibrations to shoot through Jody's lower half and she came undone moments later. Shaking and twitching as he continue to help her ride through the shockwaves. Once she stopped moving, Bobby slowed his finger movements and smiled up at her before licking his lips.

Jody threw her head down on the pillow below, let out short breaths, and closed her eyes.

-SPN-SPN-SPN-

Bobby returned from his trip to the bathroom to a half covered, all naked woman in his bed. Jody was asleep, her face pressed into the pillow and she was splayed out flat like a pancake. Bobby smiled and came closer, sitting down on the edge of the bed, and covering Jody up with the covers before moving her hair from her closed eyes. He drank in the sight of her, wondering just how he could have had such a moment in this chaos.

The boys were out there somewhere hiding from Leviathans. Castiel was MIA at the moment, causing much despair from Dean and Sam alike. Hunters were dying every day trying to stop the end of the world part two.

He had this moment. That much he could live with for now.

Bobby chuckled to himself.

Maybe woodchucks weren't so bad after all.

A/N: Don't ask me where this came from. I was sleep deprived at midnight and thought of this premise. I've always shipped Jody and Bobby and there was a disappointing lack of fanfiction about them. So, I wrote my own. This was one of my first good jumps into decent smut, so I hope y'all enjoy!
