Victor and Valentino, two half-brothers with complete opposite personalities, were spending another summer with their Grandma Chata in a small but beautiful town called Monte Macabre.

Victor, or Vic, is now 10 years old. He is an excitable, competitive, and athletic boy. He can be rather hasty and uncoordinated, and would rather look cool then follow the rules. He is also naive, but can be smart when he needs to be. He likes soccer, video games, and adventures, but he cares about Valentino over all of those.

Valentino, or Val, is now 12 years old. Unlike Victor, he shows a more mature personality. He often shows responsibility in taking care of Vic, especially in the midst of their mischief adventures. He likes art, photography, and collecting coins. He cares for Victor, but mainly just finds him as a vague nuisance.

"Hola mis nietos! I've missed you so much!" Chata said as she hugged both of her grandsons.

"Hi grandma! We missed you too! I'm so ready to run the stand again!" Valentino said excitedly.

"And I'm ready to go on more adventures! This town always has some kind of dope adventure!" Victor shouted.

"I'm so happy that you boys are so excited to be back. Go unpack, I'll get dinner ready." Chata told them.

"You got in grandma!" Vic and Val said in unison before running upstairs to their old room.

A few days later...

"Hey Val. Have you noticed anything...weird?" Vic asked.

"What do you mean Vic?" Val responded.

"Charlene hasn't been stalking us. She always did last summer. I think she had a crush on me." Vic said as he squinted at Charlene's house.

Charlene is a girl who's also 10. She is a strange little girl who has an interest in the macabre and supernatural entities. Charlene is usually mischievous and mysterious, despite being a tomboy. Her behavior often creeps out Vic and Val. She is also very arrogant around the duo, to the point of taunting them. She has a crush on Victor.

"Yeah, that is strange. You should go over to her house and see where she is." Val said.

"Why me?! Why do I have to go over there?" Vic whined.

"I'm working Vic. I can't leave my post. Plus, she likes you, and I know you started to like her back, before we left." Val smirked.

"I-I don't like her! I'm just...not used to this." Victor said, blushing.

"Sureeee Vic. Just go over there." Val said, returning to the grill.

"Ugh, fine." Victor pouted, but started over to Charlene's house.

He knocked on the door and waited. He heard footsteps approaching the door. However, it wasn't Charlene who answered, it was Maria Teresa.

"Oh look, it Chata's baby faced niƱo. What do you want?" Maria Teresa asked.

"I've noticed that Charlene hasn't been around us these few days. Is she here?" Victor asked.

Maria Teresa froze. Tears started forming in her eyes and she turned away, taking out a handkerchief and dabbing her eyes.

"Uh, are you...ok?" Victor asked, uncomfortably.

"Victor...Charlene isn't here...she's missing..." Maria Teresa said through light sobs.

This time, Victor froze. Charlene? Missing? No way. There had to be some kind of mistake. It's true, Victor did start to develop a small crush on Charlene last summer. Something about her adorably creepy personality grew on him. He was looking forward to seeing her again, but now this happened.

"S-she's missing? How? Why? WHEN? How long has she been missing for?!" Victor stuttered, terrified.

"Almost a year now...she went missing right after you left..." Maria Teresa started crying.

"A...year?..." Vic fell to the ground and started tearing up.

The girl he's loved for over a year now has been missing since he left? And he just now found out about it?

He felt his heart shatter

"I'll find you Charlene. I'll find you and bring you home. Wait for me ok? I love you..." Vic thought before taking off.

A/N: Viclene is one of my absolute favorite ships ever. This story will be sad for 1 or 2 chapters, but it'll get happier. Promise
