Chapter 01

A/N: FINALLY!

GOD DAMN!

HI! Hello! UyBal here

And this has been a bitch to write

Sure, the whole fiasco with the ongoing disease (that shall not be named) has provided me the time to focus on this story, but high school's a bitch. But I guess online lectures are better than becoming a NEET, right?

No? ... yeah, I thought so too

But anyway, small rant aside, its time I discuss the premise of this story before we proceed

1) This story is a re-write of another story of mine that would most likely have been taken down by now. I kinda lost track of what I was supposed to do with the story there, so I thought 'eh, why not do the whole thing again?'

2) Certain video-game aspects of Terraria will be tweaked to better suit the realism that I am going for. Therefore, things like the Inventory System, In-game displays (The HUD), How Magic is used, Crafting, Building, etc. will not be exactly the same as it is in the game

3) Obviously, this will be an 'Isekai' fanfic, where our strong, brave, heroic... ah... hero of Terraria will travel to the mysterious world of Remnant and blah blah blah. It's not essentially a new theme to go about, but I do have plans to expand upon the 'Universe' or 'World' of Terraria, and its lore, along with a backstory for our... 'Terrarian'(?) protagonist

4) The story will diverge from the main plot of the RWBY (duh), but I do hope that things don't go too out of hand with this story to the point where Jesus and Buddha sit down to have a game of chess.

And most importantly...

I do NOT own any of the material used in this story. RWBY and Terraria are properties of Rooster Teeth and Re-Logic, respectively. I am only here to mess around with their works.

Ah... also... this was edited on 04/12/2020

Now, onto the show!

Chapter 01

It was calm, and oddly so

The night was sending its final regards, as the light of day had begun to dawn upon the burning earth once more. Many a fresh cadavers littered the solid pavement, tainting the cement with a gruesome red. The sky was no longer the dreadful shade of black that had engulfed the world in its otherworldly presence; but still, as the light of the sun made its way to the surface of the land, a certain darkness remained. Gray clouds congregated high above the skies of the towering kingdom structures, many of which had caught on fire during the onslaught that had ensued the night prior.

'Well... at least I won't burn to death'

A figure, donning quite the proud suit of protection, thought to himself, as he watched the rain pour down from the heavens, extinguishing the flames. The figure, a man – young and strong, propped himself up against the many shattered building walls. He was weak, and in pain, but the adrenaline from the mighty damn massacre that had just transpired for the past few nights kept him awake, and alive for that matter; allowing him time to pour his mana into his charms. Bleeding himself to high hell wasn't a problem, thanks to a certain ancient pendant, given to him as a parting gift from a former mentor. He didn't have to worry about the possibility of his wounds being infected either, all due thanks to the crimson bracelet that he wore on his left wrist, and the ever shiny, magical, honey coloured gemstone that was imbedded at the very core of his amour plate.

A sigh escaped his chapped lips, as he let the dulled pain sink in. He looked on, staring at his feet, at the pure and utter monstrosity that lied lifeless before him. That thing was as grotesque as the constructs that it had made, or summoned, during its attack on the now ruined... settlement – to call it a 'city' in its current state would be an insult to whomever designed such fine architecture.

The creature was incomprehensibly large; even though what was supposed to be its legs seemed to have been ripped off, it still managed to dwarf each and every single complex and stall within the settlement's borders, having crushed most of them too as it came crashing down.

Its frame resembled that of a human's, but the skin on its flesh was leathery, with a tanned colour to it. Tentacles and eyes adorned its face, forming the disgusting illusion that it was a mix between man, squid, and spider. Eyes were also buried into the palms of its hands. A hole in the centre of its torso revealed its repulsive beating heart. Travelling down its abdomen, the skin to its flesh seemed to have degenerated over time, leaving only exposed bone down to the pelvis. The top of its head was cut open; forcing the image of its sickly-green brain onto whomever was unfortunate enough to gaze upon it.

But none of that mattered now – it was dead after all; and the green liquid spewing out of its deflated brain with the fabled Terra Blade lodged into the organ made sure that it stayed that way.

The man let out another exasperated groan; the discomfort on his face had been masked by his elegant headpiece. The foul stench of the 'Moon Lord's', as it was called, blood polluted the atmosphere, as it inched closer to his legs, mingling with the rain water. He forced himself to bring up the slew of information that had been linked to his nerves – he'd been given cybernetic enhancements, you see.

Condition

ERROR!

He coughed; the gurgling of blood and saliva unleashed a spray of red onto the black, protective screen of his green helmet. The man reached for his headgear, agony heaved on both of his arms, and removed the piece with a forceful jerk. It hit the ground with a splash, and then vanished like a phantom, leaving behind a few sparks.

His bloodied face now exposed to the world. Blackened eyes sealed away multicoloured orbs; a swollen cheek created an awkward bulge under an otherwise impressive scar than ran from his right temple all the way to reddened lips. A possibly dislocated nose only corrupted the attractive features of the man more.

He brought up his left hand, the better hand at the moment, as if beckoning for the golden hilt of his prized claymore. The sword rattled, like a child – trembling in fear; its grip on the lunar messiah slipping as it did so.

'C'mon you bastard' the man yelled internally, with a low growl directed at the downright abuse that his entire being has and has yet to endure. The shlunking of steel on meaty flesh resounded against any surface it could, as it travelled into his ears, rewarding the man for his struggles. The mystical hue of green-bladed sword caused a glimmer in the wide, swimming pool that was the roadway. The handle found its way into the flaccidly balled fist of the figure; and like the helmet before it, the sword disappeared.

A light began to form around the dead god, sprouting from its heart, before spreading outwards. At first, it was undetectable – hidden from the eye – even through the mechanical irises of the man, it was unseen. It was white in colour, and yet, it had an... unholy aura to it, as if the light was an incarnation of evil of sorts.

The brain no longer excreted its nasty fluids, completely drained now. The aura of light expanded, reaching out and imprisoning everything within its glow.

The man watched, in a blend of horror and fascination; weary of what was to come. Now don't get him wrong, the man was no coward, neither was he weak physically, but his luck has gone on the track record for being quite the petty bitch.

He lacked the strength to merely get up and get away from the expanding light – a light – not even a true threat to begin with.

He closed his eyes, taking a lungful of the repulsive air in through clenched teeth

'Oh what a bitch'

After a moment or two, the light had finally swallowed the man, starting from the balls of his feet, to a stray strand of ravenous black hair on the back of his head.

And then...

There was a stiff darkness

Wheww...

Thanks for sticking to the bottom of this train wreck

To be frank, I have a few 'conflicting' ideas on how and where I should insert our Terrarian hero into the RWBY plot, but until I figure out the best way to do so, I'm just gonna leave the story here for now.

Open to suggestions tho

But for now... I... ah... see ya!... I guess
