An Audino raced down the halls towards the starlight just outside. The large mansion had a courtyard filled with her family. In this distance of the lawn, there was a area being kept clear that had all sorts of metal devices in it.

She went down a beautiful, wooden ramp into the spacious lawn with short, green grass. As the youngest and shortest pokemon there, lots of her family members either didn't see her or thought they bumped into something while she moved closer up away from the mansion.

Every pokemon she crossed, she knew by name and personally. The Audino's first cocnern now, though, was getting a front row seat.

A Gardevoir saw the Audino moving around and called out to her. "Agatha!"

The Audino stayed in place not hearing her over the constant talking. The Gardevoir went over to her through the crowds and picked her up from behind making the small Audino's legs move back and forth in surprise.

"Agatha, what are you doing out here? It's late." the Gardevoir said.

"I deseeeerve to watch," Audino whined. "I want a front row seat. I'm just as much a part of this."

"The only reason we want you inside is because we don't know what will exactly happen. This is our first real experiment with this. You know that."

"Please, mom."

The Gardevoir set the Audino down on her feet and bent down to look at her face. "I'll make you a deal. You can watch, but from over the patio. Ok? For me."

"Yes," Agatha agreed.

"Ok. Go on over." Gardevoir smiled.

The small Audino backtracked her way through the crowds while the Gardevoir took her path up front. Slowly, the chatter of her extended family started to die down when her parents. the Gardevoir and a Clefable, went up to the front making last minute preparations.

As the Audino reached the ramp back up, her parents had started to talk over a speaker up front. She continued her walk up until she was behind the bars of the patio that kept pokemon from falling off the elevated path.

"Hey guys! We're about to start, so everyone find a good seat!" Gardevoir announced.

The Audino happily sat on the edge of the patio with her feet dangling off while using her arms to hold on and stay balanced. All of the pokemon below her also found spots to sit. The last of the chatter died down while the Gardevoir took center stage for talking.

"We all have that same connection to this world, and that's why we're here today. My feelings led me down this path."

Agatha smiled proudly. She liked being part of her special family. Having something secret passed down from generations The Pharaoh family could sense disasters and avert them, and she was part of a cause.

"Lots of us have felt very uneasy for the last few years, and I believe I can discover why with what we've created using modern and ancient science. And after our years of effort into researching the ancient, we think we've uncovered a way to enter the world we supposedly came from. This has historical meanings, not just for pokemon everywhere, but for each and every one of us."

The Clefable working around the equipment gave a thumbs-up to the Gardevoir as she looked back at him.

"So, let's get this underway!" Gardevoir said excitedly.

A large steel panel on the ground had a red color start to flow through grooves carved into it. A steady sound of a whirring generator grew to encompass all of the sound available to use for talking.

Four tall pillars around the steel panel also began to have the same glowing red colors in their grooves that looked like veins. When enough energy gathered at their tops, they shot energy together above the panel.

At first the energy was joining together smoothly, but a ragged crackling sound started. Before anyone could react to it, a huge roaring sound followed.

The steel panel disappeared into a gloom of a strange, purple color. It started to stack onto itself in the air like a rising object out of liquid.

It suddenly sent out bursts of purple light that caused explosions all around it. They quickly scattered into the crowds making screaming and chaos. The explosions quickly blinded Agatha to the whole area, and she froze falling over herself trying to get up in fear.

One of the sparks hit the edge of the patio making an explosion near her. She was about to cry out, but had the wind knocked out of her. She felt instant agony all over her body while hearing the sound of wood collapsing and catching fire.

Her vision was blurry beyond what she thought was possible. She could only make out different colors, and couldn't move her body past of all the burning. She must have gone through the wall with the shattered and burnt wood in front of her, and the little she could see of her arm was just a red mark.

Every breath she took felt like breathing in fire. She managed to scream out painfully, but nothing happened. One of her arms was still just tingling in pain rather than feeling scorched, she she managed to use it to push herself off of the ground and turn to look behind her.

There was a curtain of smoke with underlying red starting to approach her. Fear started to overtake the pain, and she brought her scorched left arm under her to keep herself up. She tried, but she couldn't move her hips or legs at all.

Her front hurt, but it was only a tingling pain so she could endure dragging herself along the soft floor away.

The process of dragging herself away from the spreading fire felt like it was taking forever, with unanswered questions in the back of her mind. She took the quickest route out of the mansion and stopped on the stones of a small fountain area in front of the mansion away from the grass.

Breathing was starting to feel like it was eating at her stamina even though she avoided the smoke well. For whatever reason her arms had given way, and she couldn't move them anymore. Her vision had gotten better before, but now seemed to be getting lazy along with her hearing of the fountain's water flowing.

The Audino cried out one more time for help, and didn't hear anything. Breathing was starting to wear her down awfully. The pain of her body dulling scared her, but it was a silent fear.

Her fear lingered. Time passed, but she couldn't tell how much. Her body must have been moved by something, but her sensations were all off or dull.

Eventually, the pain alone came back to her. She couldn't tell where she was in space at all, but she writhed in pain from her skin. Wherever she was, she was extremely uncomfortable. Although the pain wasn't nearly as bad as before, she felt like it was eating at her mental stamina of how much she could take.

More time passed. She had to be dreaming for some of it, and sleeping other times. She couldn't tell which was which, but had a feeling it was real when she could hear herself breathing loudly. For whatever reason, the though of even opening her eyes made her feel dizzy, so she stayed in her suspended feeling.

Agatha completely lost the scale of how much time passed. It felt like an overnight sleep. She woke up, but it was different. She was lying down on her back, just barely too warm. Colors were flying everywhere.

The Audino looked up behind her and felt a phantom of smoke and fire. She used her arms and pushed herself off of the low elevation mattress tumbling onto a hard, cold steel floor. She breathed in and out warming up her voice.

"Mom! Moooooom! Where are you!? Mooooooom!"

The Audino's legs felt too uncomfortable to move, but she couldn't see clearly enough to know why. Wherever she was seemed to be only made of different shades of white. She lifted her face up into the air with her arms and continued to call out desperately.

Noise started to happen around her. She heard voices, but couldn't pay attention enough to understand them. Something reached under her arms and lifted her very gently. The noise started to die down as it set her back onto the mattress.

Agatha could tell it wasn't her mom at least, but was still didn't know what was going on. Something was rubbing hear head gently, while other things were gently placed along her arms as if wanting to keep her down.

She felt something small poke into her skin and out. She started to feel sleepy before she even realized it. She felt like she slept another night's worth of time.

When she woke up again, she felt much more normal. But she was confused about where she was.

She was in an all white room with a window outside that showed she was in some town or city with low lying brick buildings nearby. The first thing she tried was to move her whole body around. Her legs immediately felt weird to her. Audino sat up and threw the covers off of herself. She was covered in very tight-fitting white bandages with some sort of lotion under them.

Her feet were missing. Her legs stopped just below her ankles.

"Agatha, calm down."

She looked to her right where a Bayleef was standing up just in front of the door.

"I'm here with answers, and I know what happened. You're in a hospital, alright?" Bayleef said. He approached her side slowly while he was speaking overly clearly. "You were in a coma, just a week and a half. Do you remember what happened?"

"Where's my family?" Audino asked immediately.

"Patience. Right now this is about you."

The Audino sighed tiredly. She gently rubbed her eyes and looked back at the Bayleef with a clearer view.

"You're going to tell me who survived. Right now," she insisted.

The Bayleef stared at the Audino dead on in the eyes. Agatha didn't even move a little while he was looking at her. After a short silence, the Bayleef responded. "Nothing to tell. I'm sorry."

"You can go now." Agatha replied. Her voice was wavering up and down uncontrollably.

"I'm here to-"

"You can go now."

Agatha turned over on her side towards the window away from the Bayleef. She waited a short moment holding herself together as he slowly stepped out.

Then fell apart.
