Hello readers

I spent yesterday reading up on a handful of Oliver/Laurel stories and while fine, for the most part, one thing did bug me is how Oliver would roll over for Laurel when she took issue with his methods as The Hood.

The authors can write whatever they want so no this not an attack on them. In my views, however, I see this as no different than Olicty crap for Felicity getting on Oliver's case for killing. For the fan fiction stories or heck the show when Oliver rolls over for changing his methods to appease Felicity.

Like when I write Oliver or Barry, I write my stories around them first, who Oliver or Barry is in a relationship with second. And I certainly don't write either changing who they are to make their love interest happy.

So, this is not going to be a happy Oliver/Laurel fic. Don't like, use the back button.

Anyway, on with the story

The Bunker

Walking over to the glass cases containing the various suits, and gear Oliver in his Green Arrow suit places his bow back in its holder. Turning Oliver faces Dinah Laurel Lance, in her Canary suit with the mask off, and his girlfriend is none too pleased.

"I can't believe you killed him," Laurel says coldly.

"James Midas is a gun-running dirtbag who sells his ammo out to terrorist groups and third world dictators so they can slaughter untold innocent civilians. I'm not about to let Mathis set up shop in The Glades, and like Muller, he serves as a warning to anybody else thinking about doing the same" Oliver replies harshly.

"Midas needed to serve prison. Not get executed" Laurel fires back.

"When I told you I was going after Midas and returning to taking down those on The List, what did you think was going to happen? I won't kill every person who gets in my way, but there are those who the only justice is death" Oliver replies coldly "If you can't handle what I am then leave."

"You're serious? We are done?" Laurel asks in shock.

"What you do you think I'm just going to roll over for you Laurel and change my methods with a simple yes? I broke up with Felicity when she treated me like garbage and had an issue with me killing Darhk. I'm not going to roll over for whoever I'm in a relationship with or anyone on my team. If you can't handle that then I'm done" Oliver replies.

Laurel can just stand there in shock as processing their relationship just ended while Oliver walks off to go get changed.

Ah now I feel better. Hope somebody else at least enjoyed this.

Frankly thinking over it, I wonder how supportive Laurel really would be of Oliver executing bad guys in cold blood when he deemed needed, and even despite Laurel becoming a vigilante still believed much more in sending the bad guy to prison. Not the graveyard.

So that would no doubt be an issue between them, especially if they were in a relationship.

Off to next time
