After endangering the lives of many people from a highspeed accident, Naruto trains himself to reel in his rampant powers, become a hero and hopefully make up for the mistakes of his past.

It was early in the morning during rush-hour when it happened. Zooming down the rails of a train track suspended above the traffic by a bridge was a train, quickly losing control as it skidded of the rails and roared across the bridge at a dangerous angle. The people within the cart screamed, calling desperately for help. The train was almost pitched over the bridge and the integrity of the trains metal exterior was quickly dropping as it grinded and screeched against the floor.
"We're doomed," The train conductor muttered to himself as the metal carriage lurched with no sign of slowing down. Normally, the traction from the bridge would've stopped the cart, but due to the quirk of one of the passengers such a thing was simply not possible.
The train veered further of course, sending the conductor flying to the roof, knocking him unconscious.
In the cart, several others met the same fate, their bodies being knocked around a bit before resigning to unconsciousness.
"Naru-chan, please, calm down…" Kushina said softly to the 7-year-old boy in her arms. They were cradled underneath the table of their booth with the blonde child lying against the red velvet sofa chair.
"I-I don't know how to stop it," Naruto cried, tears spilling from his sapphire eyes. "This is all my fault…"
Kushina embraced her child deeper. "Naruto, you can control this. You're stronger than you think you are," Kushina smiled gently, "This isn't your fault, Naru-chan. I believe in you, sochi,"
Naruto continued to cry though Kushina could tell her child was beginning to calm down. It was then however that the train rolled of the edge of the bridge. In a moment, Kushina and her son weren't huddled together in a train booth but sailing through the sky, suspended in the air.
"Kaa-chan!" Naruto yelled out, extending his hand in a feeble attempt to grab her mother's hand.
"Sochi," Kushina said, a smile on her face. Her body slammed into the wall of the train with a sickening crack before slumping to the ground limp.
"Kaa-chan!" Naruto cried out, attempting to scramble to his mother's side. He hadn't even made it halfway to her when the train hit the ground bellow, sending shards of glass flying everywhere, crushing cars with its weight and knocking the blonde senseless. Naruto felt the sharp pain of something digging into his abdomen and the crunch of metal against metal was the last thing Naruto heard before his world went dark.

When Naruto regained consciousness, he wasn't able to stay awake for long before being put under anesthesia or falling asleep. The blonde's world became a mess of hazy hands and masked figures tending to his wounds and injuries, getting hooked to machines with so many buttons and wires he couldn't even fathom what they were supposed to do. The blonde would occasionally wake up to see hands inside him, probing a massive piece of what Naruto could only assume was a part of a train or medical blades making incisions along his tissues.
Those brief moments of consciousness were the worst. He would only feel the pain momentarily before being given a more lethal dose of anesthesia but those few minutes were unbearable. While he was asleep, and the medics thought he couldn't hear they would quietly discuss his condition, amongst other things.
"His metabolism is too quick and burning though the pain killers…"
"Good, he deserves the pain. My daughter was on that train!"
"I wonder if he'll survive?"
"His quirk sent a train over a bridge. He should be incarcerated, not tended too!"
"His mom survived, though her condition is deplorable."
"Serves him right."
"A bit of the train stabbed him deep in his stomach. His bladder is ruptured, show some compassion."
The comments were gut wrenching. He had not only hurt his Mother, but several other people on that train. Someone's daughter was in terrible condition no doubt, and it was all because of him. Did he truly deserve all this pain and suffering? It sure felt like he did.
After his condition had stabilized enough for him to stay conscious for a while, he was supposed to do some exercises and muscle therapy.
"You've been stuck in bed for 4 months since the incident. You should get some exercise," Naruto's family doctor, Iruka said to the blonde one morning. The blonde merely nodded silent without much energy causing the doctor to frown. "Come on, now." Iruka said, helping Naruto out of his hospital bed and down the halls to the physical training room.
Naruto stared ahead blankly at the sterile white walls and the luminescent lights that beamed down from the roof. Every corridor looked the same to the blonde. Without Iruka, he would get lost in the winding hallways easily.
"Here we are," Iruka said, ushering Naruto into a room filled with equipment. The room had a wide-open plan with most of the tools against the wall and a few bars and stations in the centre.
Most of the light in the room came from the left wall which was pure glass. From it, Naruto could see the city. People moving in a rushed hurry trying to get to work or wherever they were supposed to be. Large buildings that stood tall and mighty. And in the distance the bridge that Naruto and the train had fallen of. It was being rebuilt and was almost done being fixed. Below the bridge however was a disaster with a hole that looked more like a meteor crash sight. A pang of pain and guilt went through Naruto's chest.
"Naruto?" Iruka asked, pulling Naruto from his trance.
"Why don't was get started on some minor exercises," Iruka said, leading Naruto to some 10-pound weights.

Naruto spent more and more time training in the physical training room as his muscles were finally getting back up to speed. During this time, he also got to better know his family doctor, Iruka. Iruka was a man of average height and stature with an average complexion. The only detail about him that really stood out was the scar that stretched across his nose.
Naruto also had a scar. Many scars on his stomach from the surgeries. Apparently, when he fell, he got a chunk of glass and concrete in his stomach. The doctors said he was healing, and that due to his quirk, the scars would fade with time.
That was a sore topic for the blond. His quirk, Velocity was able to alter how traction effects objects he was in close proximity with, either removing it all together causing them to be in constant motion or adding more making a moving object come to an immediate stop.
He had been traveling to the neighboring city to see his god father, Jiraiya and had activated his powers for the first time. All of a sudden, the train was moving quicker than before and couldn't stop due to the lack of traction.
It was this event coupled with the near loss of his mother and destruction it caused that made Naruto a little more than hesitant to try using his special ability.
After doing some exercises under the supervision of Iruka the blonde had finally gotten to and maybe even surpassed the level of strength he had previously.
When Naruto wasn't busy getting tested, probed, resting or training his body he was in the medical room a few doors down where Kushina lay in a coma, still unresponsive.
"Hey, mom," Naruto said to the red head's unresponsive form. The room was deathly silent with the only noise being the scuffling of doctors and surgeons in the background and the gentle beep of the EKG (Heart rate monitor).
"I'm sorry about what happened," Naruto managed. Guilt gripped his throat making it hard for him to formulate proper sentences.
Naruto squeezed his mother's hand.
"I-I didn't mean to do this to you," Naruto apologized for the 9th time this week now. "I didn't mean to hurt anyone, Mom. I'm sorry." Naruto said now in tears. Wishing. His mother would wake up and hug him tightly, letting him know all would be okay. He stared at Kushina, hoping she would just break out of the trance so they could be together again. He waited for her to forgive him and wake up.
Kushina lay there.
"Visiting hours are over, Naruto. Shouldn't you be back in bed about now?" Kushina's doctor asked as he entered the room.
"Yeah, I was just leaving." Naruto said, getting up and leaving the room. His head was downcast, hiding his eyes from view with a curtain of blonde locks.
Naruto hated himself. He caused all this. He created so much suffering. With his stupid quirk. He wanted his power gone.

Naruto was finally out of the hospital. All his surgeries were done, and he was in good condition. His once ugly scars were now thin lines.
Naruto was at the park by Iruka's request. "You should go and make some friends!" The doctor had told him.
Naruto wasn't really all too interested in friends though he did admit talking to only Iruka got a little depressing sometimes and companionship didn't seem too bad.
Now for the hard part; actually, making a friend.
In the centre of the playground was a blonde with wild spikey hair that was several shades lighter than Naruto's and red eyes. Flanking him was a chubby kid who was suspended in the air by devil-like wings and a tall lanky kid with slick hair and long fingers.
"B-bakugo, stop it…" A green-haired kid said weakly from the floor. Cowering behind him was another child.
Naruto stood silently, deciding to observe the situation before deciding what to do. This was one of the things Naruto had become quite adept at during his time at the hospital.
"Or what," The blonde Naruto now knew to be Bakugo sneered. "You're going to hurt me!? How're you going to do that without a quirk, Deku?" He said, slamming his fists together while causing a small explosion in his palm that made "Deku" flinch.
"You should quit playing hero."
"Deku's" reaction caused the three bullies to snicker amongst themselves.
It was quite apparent that "Deku" was protecting the kid who was cowering behind him. The kid noticed that Bakugo was quite busy with "Deku" and took the moment to scurry away with his tail between his legs.
People like that made him sick. Everyone on the playground made Naruto sick. Bakugo and his goons were bullies who used their quirks to cause intentional harm, and Deku was a spineless coward, quivering on the ground.
"Let's get him, boys!" Bakugo said, dashing at "Deku" along with his pals. They pounced and were about to land some pretty solid blows on the green kid.
That was when Naruto decided to act. Increasing the traction Bakugo and his goons had with the air Naruto suspended them air born.
"What the hell it this!?" Bakugo roared along with his goons. The ash-blonde couldn't even move his arms normally. There was too much resistance.
"You kiss your mother with that mouth?" Naruto asked, stepping out of hiding with a calm expression void of emotion on his face.
"Who the hell are you?" Bakugo roared with rage.
"Just a by-stander," Naruto replied simply.
"T-thankyou…" "Deku" said with gratitude.
"Don't mention it,"
"Get me down from here!" Bakugo yelled, his pals joining in with equal sentiment.
"Are you sure you want that?" Naruto asked. "If I drop you now, you'll slam to the ground."
"Try me, Idiot!"
"Fine. So be it." Naruto said, waving his hand to dispel the effect. Bakugo and his goons hit the ground promptly with Bakugo quickly recovering and springing to his feet and the friends groaning in pain.
Naruto had decided against making friends with any of the kids present at the park and was heading back to the hospital when he was stopped by a glaring Bakugo who held a fist full of Naruto's collar in his hands.
"You again," Naruto stated simply.
"Fight me." Bakugo said, his goons finally recovering and surrounding the former patient. The trio all sported ruthless grins. It was clear they weren't too happy with Naruto's display earlier and were looking to fight.
Naruto decided to play with them a little bit.
"Awww, 3 against 1?" Naruto said condescendingly.
"Yeah, you scarred?" Asked the tall lanky boy.
"No, far from it," Naruto grinned. "Pro tip; next time, bring 100."
Naruto pointed to the ground, increasing its traction and there by freezing the group in place. After that, defeating them wasn't a problem for the blonde who swiftly delivered a blow to their stomachs.
Izuku stared attentively. 'How is he so strong? What's his quirk?'
"Thank you. My names Izuku," Izuku said, thanking the blonde for the second time.
"Don't thank me. Just get strong enough to protect yourself." Naruto said before turning around and making his way to the hospital. Visiting hours were going to end soon.

"Mom. I met some kids today. They were disappointing though the green one seems almost okay. Too bad he's a coward." Naruto said to Kushina. He was seated in a chair beside the hospital bed, holding her pale hand.
"When are you going to wake up? When will you come back to me?" Naruto asked. "The doctors don't really like me because of the train incident. But Iruka's okay. He's nice and helps me with homework. Sometimes, he treats me to ramen. It's nice but it's not the same as the kind you make. Get well soon."
Naruto sat with his mother for 2 more hours before being ushered out by a doctor.
Despite not needing to be there anymore, Naruto spend a grand portion of his time there. Mostly to visit his mother.

[6 years later…]
"Good morning class let's settle down, now." The teacher, Mr. Wasabi said dryly. He was clearly tired. He had bags underneath his eyes and his unkempt brown hair seemed even messier than usual today. His suit was a sharp contrast with his features—neat and pristine.
"As the school year approaches it's close and you'll be moving on to high school around now's the time when you should be thinking about your futures," He said as he passed a sheet of paper to the desks of each student, stopping at Naruto who was in the far right corner.
"What do you want to be when you grow up. Though I guess it's a bit pointless to ask because I bet you all want to be heroes, right?"
At the mention of heroes, the class roared in agreement, students flashing their quirks proudly.
"Calm down! School is still a public area and as such using your quirks here is prohibited!" The teacher said.
Despite this law being in place, barely anyone really complied to it. It was like the law that you can't ride your bike on the sidewalk at this point.
"Tch, don't lump me in with these losers, the only thing close to being a hero they could even attempt to become is the sidekick to some busted D-lister!"
The class clamoured with discontentment upon hearing Bakugo's remark.
"Face it, you all are just a bunch of weak rejects who'll only become sidekicks to some busted D-lister! I'm the real deal, I aced the mock exams, and when I ace the entrance exam the people at Yuuei will know it too. I will become the number one hero!"
Bakugo noticed Izuku's notebook. "You're still writing in this dumb thing? How about you write about me. Put your analytics to good use." He said, blowing up the booklet with a miniature explosion before tossing it carelessly behind him and out the window.
"B-Bakugo," Izuku yelped, staring hopelessly as all the data he'd spent months collecting was pitched out the building.
"Katsuki, that wasn't nice—" The teacher began only to be cut off by the bell. "to do…" He finished deflated. All the students had left.
Izuku exited the school in a hurry, desperate to salvage what was left of the research he had gathered over the months. It was his 13th notebook, each one chalk full of useful facts and references on heroes' skills personalities and battles.
He found the notebook, soggy and wet in a small koi pond with the aforementioned fish nibbling on it without a care in the world.
Izuku gently plunked the book out the water by one of its singed edges.
"Oh no, no, no!" Izuku muttered to himself as he attempted to leaf through what remained of the pages. The book was destroyed. Finally giving up on salvaging the remains of his research Izuku sighed heavily. 'my dreams have literally become koi food.'
Resigning to the fact that he had lost a whole book worth of useful data, Izuku walked home absentmindedly through an alley way.
The teen was so absent minded he didn't even notice It when a green slimy figure stalked up from behind him.
"Well, what have we here," The green form said grasping Izuku's attention. "The perfect unassuming meat suit!"

Thank you very much for ready my story. I do not have an update schedule as of yet, but I do intend to try and update every 2 or 3 days. The upcoming chapters will be 5k words long and as you can probably tell by the way this chapter is structured this is a rough draw so expect to see changes to it in the near future.
I take fanfic requests and will try to respond to all your comments.
Constructive criticism is much appreciated and honestly, I don't mind if you flame, I'll admit this story isn't all that great, I'm just trying to improve my writing :)
