WARNING, PLEASE READ: If you get triggered by topics that tend to come up in harassment situations then I don't think you should read this.
"Shit. They're out for blood on these forums, Tom." Kaz said, looking at his laptop on his desk. He and Tom are in Kaz's bedroom. Tom is sitting on Kaz's bed, going over his Chaotic cards. Kaz and Tom were trying to come up with new strategies to win Chaotic battles. Kaz had logged into a special forum that only players who have a Chaotic code are able to get onto. There were great tips on there that they wanted to try out.
"Out for who's blood?" Tom asked, standing up then going over to look over Kaz's shoulder.
"Those players who had sex in the beta drome." Kaz answered as he continued reading the Chaotic fan forum. "They're saying things like how they are sickoes that need to be punished by being banned from Chaotic. And those are the nice comments." Kaz added.
"That's kind of unfair since they weren't breaking any rules at the time." Tom said. He was trying to read what people were saying about the whole situation.
Two days ago, the Code Masters revised the Chaotic rule book and one new rule said that players weren't allowed to use the dromes for sex. Apparently, two players had used a beta drome at night to do some role playing. One turned into Chaor while the other one was Aivenna. No one had known what happened until the new rule was added and players began asking if someone actually did have sex in the dromes. The Chaotic robots told everyone who asked them about the new rule.
Looking back, Tom thought the robots were a bit too eager in spreading the story, but he shook his head at the thought. Surely robots wouldn't care about human gossip.
"Damn, these comments are getting out of hand." Kaz said.
"Which ones?" Tom asked. It was kind of hard for him to read over Kaz's shoulder.
"Here, I'll go to the beginning of the conversation." He scrolls to the top. "Start reading here." Kaz points to one post.
Tom leans in closer.
The post read:
"I can't believe there's actually people this level of deranged fuckers in Chaotic for fucks sake!"
Next person typed:
"You would think the Code Masters would screen for this kind of behavior. There could have been a ten year old watching from one of the flat screens."
A lot more players left posts on the thread. All saying how wrong and bad it was. Tom and Kaz agreed people shouldn't have sex in the dromes but these people seemed to be going too far with their rage and anger over it.
"How could anyone do that to Aivenna. It's basically rape. Aivenna didn't consent for her body to be used like that. Whoever did it should be punished for it. Maybe have them thrown away in an Underworld prison."
Then a few of the commentators began to turn on one another and that started with one person saying:
"Please, Aivenna should be honored to have sex with Lord Chaor even if it was just in the dromes."
That one comment triggered a flood of outrage from Aivenna and Overworld fans.
"I know you didn't just say that. You must be retarded for thinking Aivenna would want to be with Chaor."
"Ha, you couldn't be more wrong pathetic Underworld fan-boy. No way in hell would Aivenna ever stoop so low with that ugly, sociopath demon you worship."
Of course, the Underworld fans had to defend themselves and Chaor's "honor".
"We don't worship Chaor. He just happens to be the best ruler in Perim. Aivenna would be lucky to get with a guy like that."
"You're right that Chaor and Aivenna would never get together but you're wrong that about it being a step down for Aivenna. If anything Chaor would be the one going down the ladder. There's so many better female creatures throwing themselves at Chaor's feet. No way would Chaor even look at Aivenna."
Tom and Kaz read a few more before deciding it would be best for their mental health to stop.
"Well, I don't have any words to say about that." Tom said.
"Yeah. It'll probably blow over in a few weeks when the next big scandal pops up." Kaz says, clicking off from the site.
"I hope you're right." Tom said, then went back to his cards.
More notes: So this story is a squeal to one of my one-shots titled "Abusing the Dromes". You don't need to read it to know what's going on in this story since all the necessary information is in this first chapter. Unlike that one-shot though, this story isn't about humor but instead focuses on the outrage the event causes. Like the summary says, Tom and Kaz are just going to watch everything unfold and won't be directly involved.
