Before I start, this is one of my first two fanfics on here, with this one being about Jirachi's very early comeback to Earth, and they will tie together and lead into one upcoming huge Pokémon fanfic. I was inspired after rewatching the movie Jirachi Wish Maker and being a fan of Fourthwheelshipping, and so, here you go. Dialogue will be in script style. Enjoy.
A few years ago, a young boy from Petalburg City named Max, along with his sister, May, and their friends from Kanto, Ash and Brock, were on their journey throughout Hoenn, with Ash still dreaming of becoming a Pokémon master.
One day, they wanted to see something special that's about to happen, called the Millennium Comet, which appears for a week once every thousand years. However, during their trip to the celebratory Millennium Festival to celebrate the comet, a magician by the name of The Great Butler came along, and during his magic act, he and his assistant, Diane, showed off a magical glowing rock, and Max could hear a voice inside of it. Calling to him.
He was then told that a mythical Pokémon named Jirachi was inside the rock, and he and his friends also find out that it needs a friend. Max then vowed to be Jirachi's best friend throughout the week of the Millennium Comet, and later that night, the rock glowed, revealing Jirachi to Max and his friends!
Max and Jirachi became fast friends, while Butler, being a former member of Team Magma, had some different plans with Jirachi. He needed Jirachi to summon a Groudon, and after saving Jirachi from him after a failed attempt, Max and his friends head with him and Diane to Jirachi's home in Forina.
After arriving at the end of the week of the Millennium Comet, Butler suddenly arrived and achieved his goal in getting Jirachi and summoning Groudon... but it wasn't Groudon. It was a monster Groudon, sucking energy from the Earth!
So now with the help of Butler, Max, Ash, and Jirachi team up to defeat the evil Groudon clone. After it was defeated, it was time for Jirachi to go back to his thousand year slumber. Max felt sad, but he knew they would be friends forever. Butler learned not to be evil again, and decided to stay in Forina with Diane.
As for Jirachi... throughout his thousand year rest, he's actually in an afterlife-like sanctuary where mythical Pokémon live to wait until their possible return to Earth.
It's ran by the Pokémon god, Arceus, and Jirachi was having a fun time while waiting for his thousand year sleep to end. But after spending a week with his new best friend, Max, he started to miss him. He also started to find the place he spends his rests a little boring. That started to concern the other mythical Pokémon. Including Arceus.
A few years later...
Jirachi was still in his slumber, still living in the mythical Pokémon sanctuary, and looking down at a river, seeing Max beside him in his reflection.
Jirachi: Max... I still miss you...
Celebi and Manaphy heard him say that, as they went over to Arceus, speaking to him through their newfound telepathy.
Celebi: Jirachi still misses that Max kid from a few years ago.
Manaphy: Yeah... and he hasn't felt the same since.
Arceus: *sigh* Again? A few others have told me a few years ago. I never thought this would be a problem again. I'm sorry, but... it's the rules. Only 997 years left. He has to sleep until the Millennium Comet returns in the sky. I would if I could... but he has to stay here.
Celebi: Sorry for bothering you...
Manaphy: We understand. Poor Jirachi.
Back at the lake, Jirachi was still imagining his reflection with Max, as he sheds a tear, dropping on the lake as the Max reflection goes away. Jirachi sighed very sadly, still missing Max.
Meanwhile, back at Forina, Butler and Diane were still living their best lives, farming some crops and keeping the land stable.
Butler: Well, looks like the crops are done for now. Good job, Diane.
Diane: Same with you, Butler.
Butler: It really feels like we're living like during our childhood again.
Diane: It sure does.
Suddenly, Absol, who was still living in Forina, ran towards Butler and Diane to warn them that something terrible is coming.
Absol: *howls and growls*
Diane: What's wrong, Absol?
Absol pointed past the mountains, as the two looked at where he pointed, revealing a Team Magma ship.
Butler: Oh no...!
Diane: Team Magma?
Butler: What's my old team doing here?
On the ship, Team Magma's leader, Maxie, was looking at the ship's monitor, zooming in on what's below the ship.
Maxie: *laughs* Is that the scientist who failed to summon a Groudon years back?
Team Magma Henchman 1: Seems to be, master.
Maxie: Heh heh... *turns on the microphone* Hey, Butler! Long time no see! Haven't seen you since your failed attempt to summon Groudon!
Butler: *grabs a megaphone and starts speaking into it* Listen, Maxie! After being fired from Team Magma, I tried my hardest to summon Groudon. I them found a Jirachi right here in Forina, which would be perfect for summoning Groudon during the Millennium Comet, but what came out of it was a monster! It looked like Groudon, but every step he took, it sucked energy from the Earth! So I had to get rid of it, and I'm a changed man now!
Maxie: First off, that would be more than perfect for us! Sure, it wasn't Groudon, but it's a much more powerful one, which is better than a regular one! And second... are you saying there's a Jirachi right here?
Butler: Don't even think of stealing it! He's in his thousand year sleep! He shouldn't be bothered!
Just as Team Magma's ship was landing, Butler got out his Pokéballs.
Butler: Salamence, Mightyena, Gardevoir! Come on out and stop Team Magma!
He threw his Pokéballs, as out came his 3 Pokémon, preparing themselves for their battle. Team Magma's ship landed, with 3 of their henchmen coming out with Pokéballs in their hands.
Maxie: This should be fun.
The henchmen called out their Pokémon, being Golbat, Houndoom, and another Mightyena! The two started to growl at each other and prepare for battle with the rest of the Pokémon.
Butler: Salamence, use Flamethrower! Mightyena, use Bite! Gardevoir, use Psychic!
Salamence breathed fire on Golbat, hitting it.
Team Magma Henchman 1: Golbat!
Team Magma Henchman 3: Mightyena, use Bite as well!
The two Mightyena's ran and started biting on each other hard, while Gardevoir used her Psychic on Houndoom.
Team Magma Henchman 2: Dodge, and use Ember, Houndoom!
Houndoom jumped and dodged the Psychic attack, as it used his Ember on Gardevoir, who was trying to block it.
Diane: Absol, keep all of the Pokémon safe!
Absol: Sol.
He dashed off and started telling all of the Pokémon to come with him to safety, while Maxie sneaked off the ship, tracking where Jirachi is.
Back at the sanctuary, Jirachi was sensing danger coming his way in the real world.
Jirachi: *gasps*
He closes his eyes and sees what's around his rock cocoon in the real world, spotting Maxie.
Maxie: Time for you... to be mine, Jirachi!
Jirachi: Oh no! I gotta get out of here...!
He looked left and right, hoping nobody's around. Luckily, no other Pokémon is around, as Jirachi closed his eyes and started charging his energy to try teleporting to Earth.
Jirachi: Nnnnnnnnnnnnngh... come onnnnnnnnn!
Just then, he successfully teleported back to the real world, back in his rock cocoon he sleeps in for a millennium. Another mythical Pokémon, Mew, came in and saw this, then started heading over to Arceus to tell him what he just saw.
Back on Earth, Maxie arrived at Jirachi's sleeping spot and got out a drill. He then started drilling through the ground Jirachi is inside to try and find him.
Just as Jirachi heard the drill, he quickly started panicking a little and tried his hardest to get out. And just as Maxie arrived at Jirachi's spot... he was gone.
Maxie: What the...?! It's... it's gone! Jirachi is gone!
Maxie started running back to his henchmen to tell them the news.
Maxie: I went to Jirachi's sleeping spot, and It's gone!
This shocked everyone, especially Diane and Butler.
Butler: Jirachi...
Diane: ...Gone?
Butler: Return, everyone. You all did good.
He brought his Pokémon back to his Pokéballs.
Maxie: This isn't over, Butler! We will get Jirachi if it's the last thing we do!
Butler: Give me a break. All Jirachi will do is teleport away from you crooks!
Maxie growled a little, as he went back to the ship and starts flying away from Forina. Butler and Diane started running towards Jirachi's sleeping spot. They arrived there and saw nothing in Jirachi's place.
Diane: Oh no... there's nothing there. Maxie scared Jirachi away. Forina depends on Jirachi's energy in order for it to live... but now, this might be Forina's last days.
Butler: I think so. We need to get the Pokémon out of here. We don't want them to live in a decaying land.
The two started to tell all of the Pokémon that Forina is in danger, and that they should all get out with them. After that, they started looking for Jirachi.
Meanwhile, Mew arrived at Arceus, telling him what he witnessed.
Mew: Arceus, Arceus! I saw Jirachi... he ran away!
Arceus: WHAT?!
Arceus tried to sense Jirachi in the entire sanctuary, but he couldn't find him.
Arceus: This can't be good. Jirachi has to stay in his slumber for a thousand years, and his longing for that Max kid just overtook him! Keldeo!
Keldeo: What is it, Arceus?
Arceus: Jirachi is missing. I want you to go looking for him. And don't come back without Jirachi!
Keldeo: Got it!
Arceus sent Keldeo to Earth to start looking for Jirachi.
Arceus: Jirachi... where could you be?
Jirachi had teleported in his rock all the way over to an unknown land over a large height, and the rock started to fall with him inside.
Jirachi: Where am I?! What's going on?! *screams*
Just as the rock arrived at the ground... it broke, letting Jirachi launch out, very dizzy.
Jirachi: Oh man... that was a large height...
He didn't know where he was, but once he saw another Pokémon, he realized something... He's on Earth.
Jirachi: Oh... my goodness... I'm free... I'm finally free...
Jirachi's expression went from surprised... to happy and excited.
Jirachi: Yes! I'm finally on Earth again!
He started celebrating, knowing it's an opportunity for him to finally be back with Max.
Jirachi: I gotta go find Max! It's been way too long!
He teleported to a place that's near Max's current location, and the teleportation took a while, since it was very far away from him. Regardless, soon, he's finally gonna be together with his best friend again.
Jirachi: Here I come, Max.
I know this was short, but it's all I got for this, unlike the other prologue story. I hope you liked it, in addition to the other story. You'll see what the big story that'll take place after the two prologue stories will be once it comes out. Anyways, I'll see you all later!
