Harry was about to go to sleep when he spotten another dot on the map, someone who didn't have any reason to be out of bed as far as he knew. He followed the dot on the map until it vanished into the wall. What is Malfoy doing in the Room Of Requirement at this hour? Harry asks himself. He gets out of bed and takes his wand and the invisibility cloak. One of his roommates was snoring loudly, so no one would hear him walking out and everyone was fast asleep.
When Harry was at the seventh floor the door appeared. He firmly held his wand and opent the door. The room was dark and a two torch alit by Harry's side. There was a strange sound coming from a corner in the back. Is that Malfoy? He thought. It sounded like someone whining and moaning in pain. Fuck! It's Malfoy. He concluded. More torches alit while he approached the other boy. When he was only few steps away he could make out the shape of Draco's body, but there was something wrong. Golden sparks reflected off Draco's body and hair. Draco was still moaning and... was he... crying? Did I get out of bed for this? He thought and he cleared his throat to say something, but was cut of my a wave of air thrown in his face.
The room was fully alit now by floating torches. He pointed his wand upwards, towards the back of a flying creature. A creature with white wings and golden specs. "Aaah!" Someone screamed and it took Harry a moment to realize it wasn't him out of fear, but the other out of pain. It fell to the ground and was having trouble holding himself up on his hands and knees. Hands and knees... it- it can't be... M-Malfoy? The other sat down as Harry studied him it light. The creature looked like Malfoy, same height same hair. White blond hair, just like his wings. Harry gulped. Golden specs and wings, nope Malfoy doesn't have either of those, it can't be Malfoy. The wings flapped again, but the creature didn't move any further. A long cry echoed through the room. Harry looked at where the door had been minutes ago, but he just saw a black wall. When he looked back Malfoy was looking at him over his shoulder. They both stared at each other with big fearful eyes.
After a minute of silence Draco tried to stand up, he immediately fell back and closed his eyes as a hurtful expresion fell over his face. He turned back to the corner and took deep breaths. It's Malfoy and he's in pain. Fuck. What do I do? Harry looked around the room and in the middle he spotted a cloth a bottle with a label of plant he learned about that year. He couldn't quite remember for which types of pains it helped. It wasn't poison so it couldn't hurt to try it on Malfoy.
He rushed back to Malfoy, who was curled up in a ball, with his wings around him as a shield. He was shaking. "M- Malfoy?" Harry started, Draco raised one of his wings and looked up. Draco was crying, in pain and had fucking wings, but he still managed to scoff "Fuck off Potter." Harry sighed and crouched down. Another pained hiss came from Draco and he closed his eyes. "Need some help?" Harry asked carefully. "Do I need some help?! What do you think?! I'm half bird and these wings feel like their fucking killing me since they came!" Draco screamed ending in a high pitch. "I- I can't." Draco said pointing at the wings. "They hurt so much, I'm just tired of it now." He buried his head in hands and inhaled sharply. "I'm gonna try something, okay? To ease the pain." Harry stood up and walked towards the wings, standing by his side he opened the bottle. Only now Harry noticed the boy wasn't wearing a shirt, the wings must have ripped through them. Draco was staring at him, again with those big fearful eyes. He has golden specs in them too... Harry had the need to comfort him, but he didn't know how. "It's okay, it will help." He said and Draco turned and look in front of him, at a floating torch. Harry put some of potion on the cloth and brought it with hesitation towards the other. "Is it sensitive?" he asked first. "What?" Draco said in a whisper. "Your wings and the skin around them." "Yhea." Draco breathed. Harry thought it would be smart to first try the skin around the wings, because the wings might hurt too much to be touched right now.
He laid the cloth on the skin between the two wings and Draco hissed, he reached for Harry's other hand and took it in his. Harry slowly removed the cloth again and looked at Draco's face. "Are you okay?" Draco's hand was still holding Harry's, but Harry didn't say anything about it. "I'm- I'm fine. Do it again." Draco said between deep breaths. He placed the cloth again and Draco squeezed his hand. After a few minutes Harry had gotten to the skin around Draco's wings and Draco was taking deep even breaths. "Are your wings still in pain?" Harry asked as he removed the cloth. "Not that much." Draco said. He had closed his eyes and as he opened them he saw that he was still holding Harry's hand. Draco quickly let go and turned towards him. Harry smiled and to his surprise Draco smiled a small smile back.
"Are you going to explain why there is a bird on your back?" He asked with a grin. Draco glared at him, but he didn't mind. Harry stood up and offered Draco his hand. Draco tried to refuse it, but he hissed in pain when he tried standing up himself. Draco took his hand and they looked in the room. "My potion, something went wrong, and well you can see the result." Draco mumbled. Harry smirked. They walked towards the wall where the door was earlier. The door was still gone, and Draco was exhausted. "I can't sleep in my dorm." While Draco said it a double bed appeared and both stopped death in their tracks. "Well, I can go then." Harry said, he walked past the bed towards the wall, but it wouldn't appear. "Fuck." He said. He looked over his shoulder where Draco sat on the edge of the bed with a smug look on his face. He walked towards the bed "Shut it Malfoy." Harry spat as he took off his shoes. Draco jumped onto the bed and hissed in pain, but quickly recovered and smirked. "Is Potter, the boy who lived, getting into bed with, what did ya say, a Malfoy?" Harry huffed. He looked up. Fuck his face is way to close. Malfoy was still smirking, but he had an intense look on his face. "Where the specs in your eyes also an accident of the potion or was that what you where trying to brew." Harry said with amusement.
Draco blinked and gave Harry a confused look and then gasped and looked at his wings. "Your eyes, and your hair and wings as well. They all have golden specs, they glow in the light. Trying to pretty yourself up weren't ya?" Harry said raising an eyebrow. Draco glared at him. "No." he said plainly before he looked back at his wings in fascination. Harry rolled his eyes and laid back. There weren't any blankets, but the room was warm enough. He stared at Draco's chest. They were both fit he knew that, they both played Quidditch, but Draco's shoulders where broader then his. He looked back up to Draco's face who just turned back around to look at him. Draco slowly laid down on his stomach, he inhaled sharply while doing so. He kept taking deep breaths. For a second Harry thought he would have to get the potion again. But Draco began to cry, it wasn't because of pain, it was all the emotion from all the frustration. Harry wasn't sure if he should do something. He looked at Draco who was staring at him in so much pain. He took the other boy in his arms and combed through his hair. "It's okay." He said and he Draco sobbed. After a few minutes Draco tried to catch his breath and calmed down, but didn't move. After a while the torches unlit and they both fell asleep.
