Verna Jean has left Freddie to go to South Carolina. Freddie becomes sad and broken. All he wants is to get over her. He then meets Eva who's more different than any girl he's ever met. 1. Chapter 1

Deliver Him From Eva

Ch. 1

A/N: Hello everyone! I am Bambi and I'm here with a new story. So, as you all know I wrote Came Back For You and Heartbreak For Hire. Well, I decided to write a fic about Freddie because for some reason his fics are several lacking. As always I do not/have not/probably nor will I ever own the rights to Welcome Back, Kotter or any of its characters. I do own Eva though. Now onto, Deliver Him From Eva.

A teenaged couple stands on a train platform amidst the hustle and bustle of Grand Central Station. They're sobbing and clinging onto each other. "I'm sorry, Freddie." Verna Jean Williams, on her way to South Carolina wails into the chest of her distraught boyfriend, Freddie Washington. "What about us? Verna Jean, I love you. I can't picture my world without you. Remember we were gonna get married? You're just gonna leave like this?" Freddie begged willing to do anything if it meant she'd stay. "I don't have a choice, Freddie. You know if it were up to me I'd stay." Verna cried.

"So this is it?" Freddie asks. "For now." Verna confirmed. Verna Jean kisses Freddie's cheek and walks onto her train. "I'll always love you, Freddie Washington." Verna Jean calls out from the steps. Freddie's feet felt as if they were permanently cemented into the pavement. He couldn't believe he was just letting her go like this. Freddie stood there watching Verna Jean's sad tear stained face whizz right by him. He wound up staying on that train platform for a whole hour. He has hoped that by some divine means she'd come back and everything would remain the way it is.

However, Verna Jean never came back. Freddie Washington is now a broken young man. How was he going to go on? Verna Jean was his everything. He's never felt more lost than felt in that moment. Eventually, Freddie pries himself off the train platform and goes home. Freddie would spend the entire night mourning his first loves departure.

A/N: It is very short and I applogize. Next chapter will be a lot longer and hopefully less dramatic. Thank you so much for reading. This story will be getting Mondays at 6pm est. I know I posted a little later but that's only because I was taking forever to edit. Anyway, good bye and I will see you next Monday!
