MEET THE CAST:

Miranda Loraine Roux

Alexander John Roux

Lauren Roux

Andrew Roux

At ten years old, Miranda Loraine Roux was moving from America to Britain.

She watched the dolphins below in the ocean from the boat's railings as the boat sailed towards Britain. Her soft red hair blowed behind her gently with the wind as she felt a strange sense of calmness and smiled at the sapphire clear sea.

'Such a beautiful view, huh.' She thought as she watched the sun sink below the waves.

If she ever had a teenage rebellion, she'd go become a sailor.

'It's almost night time' Mira thought disappointedly as she took one last look at the darkening sky and walked inside the boat.

Alex flopped down on the blue blankets of his bed, careful to make sure he didn't bump his knees against the edge again, or hit his head on the ceiling because of his tall height which of course had disadvantages.

Well, it wasn't actually his bed, seeing as he was only temporarily staying until they reached Britain.

He wondered what it would be like, 'Would there be huge stone buildings? Giant clocktowers? Castles?'

Okay, that last one was a bit farfetched though.

He quickly fell asleep, dreaming of the possibilities of their new home as he listened to the calming sound of crashing waves outside the boat.

Lauren and Andrew Roux, married just out of Hogwarts, left for America together after Lauren's father disapproved of their marriage.

In America, they had their son Alex, and their daughter Mira, who lived their entire lives in the States.

Mira grew up as a young cheerful and bright child with a lot of energy along with Alex who was imaginative and protective of Mira as well as being each other's best friends.

Alex really should not have fallen asleep in his life vest.

This darn thing was choking him!

Mira demandingly held her arms up toward Lauren's head, making impatient grabbing motions.

Eventually, Lauren let Mira braid her hair...

Again, for the third time that morning.

When they finally landed in Britain, the two children ran out, their feet thumping on the wooden docks with joyful smiles.

"We're here!"

Lauren and Andrew had already bought a house in Britain, keeping their old house as a vacation house, since they used to live near the beach in America.

In a new, silvery light green car (they had made the mistake of letting Mira pick the car color) they drove down Privet Drive to a small neat house, next to number 4.

Andrew carried large sealed boxes with Alex, while Lauren and Mira settled on helping bring in the family's suitcases.

"It's kinda dull," Mira said, looking around with her hands on her hips, surveying the blank white walls of her new room with a thoughtful look.

She used her fingers to make a rectangle shape, and looked through it, imagining the new changes to it. 'Perhaps some fairy lights there, a beanbag and bookshelf there. A new look for the ceiling, maybe a sky or something and what about green walls? ..a small dresser and closet over there.'

She excitedly planned her new room as Lauren and Andrew carefully tucked away the boxes with their wands, the house was lively once again.

After a few days of long decorating, painting, flipping through catalogues, and moving in more boxes, the house was finally done. During this time Lauren and Andrew also organised where the Mira and Alex would go to school, they hoped that they would settle easily in the new environment.

Mira straightened a slightly crooked flower painting.

"What now?" Alex asked as Mira faced him, who was wearing some old clothes that has paint splatters all over them.

"Dunno," she said, picking at a bit of dried paint on her pant leg, "Maybe put away all this," she gestured to the paint cans, brushes, and boxes.

Once everything was completely finished and tidied away, everyone went to bed.

They were asleep before their heads hit the pillows, they did not know that their lives would soon change when they meet a small black haired boy with the name of Harry Potter.
