The air outside was freezing cold. Krystal shivered, pulling her thick wool scarf tighter around her neck. She was sitting at a cold wrought-iron table, drinking tea, as snow fell from the sky. Cole, who sat across from her, smiled and sipped his hot chocolate, snowflakes falling into his soft black hair.

A few years ago, the ninja were replaced with Ninjago's next generation of heroes. And, to Sensei Wu's reluctance, their team officially disbanded, leaving Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, Lloyd, Nya, Sera, and Krystal to fend for themselves.

But, Krystal didn't have any money; She couldn't pay for a house! She had given the revenue she made from being an assassin to her father and sister.

That's when Cole offered to buy a house with her.

"Hey Krys?" He had asked her through the phone, after calling randomly one night, "I heard you were living in Sera's apartment… Temporarily…? Umm… I was wondering if you would want to buy a house with me... " He coughed awkwardly.

"I would buy one alone, but it would be too lonely, ya know?" He finished. Krystal had rolled her eyes, scoffed, and replied, "Keep tellin' yourself that. Anyway, I would love to live with you, but I don't have any money."

"Nah, that's ok. I can buy it. How does that saying go? Your presence is presents enough?" Krystal wondered how Cole could afford an entire house but silenced the thought and laughed breezily.

"Ane where would this house be?" She questioned in a faux-spoiled brat accent. "Heh. Wherever you want," Cole replied.

So they ended up in a small city at the very edge of Ninjago, secluded in their own little bubble of a world.

White snowflakes fell onto Krystal's cheek, and she tried and failed to subtly push it off. Without a word, Cole reached out and brushed the ice crystal off, his fingers halting slightly on her cheekbone.

That's all imma add on this one.
