He could hear it. The roar of the crowd. He had just taken down some street punk and they were going wild, they loved him. It didn't matter that he was a mutant or that he had anger issues, they loved him just the same. If he walked out into the crowd, he knew someone would offer to buy him a drink and someone else would ask if he would dance with them and someone else would pat him on the back and congratulate him. These were his people.

All of them were fighters, some with words but most with weapons and he fit right in. There were mutants and humans and no one every attacked anyone because of species. It was always about land or money or territory and he never was involved. He did leave the rink eventually and someone did buy him a drink. So, there he sat, at the bar watching people and sipping his beer while watching a fight. Some human named 'Fey' won against a mutant lion.

Raph never wanted to leave. Here he was accepted, people thought he was strong. And he was strong. He heard someone coming up behind him and he turned around. It was a very shy human who asked him to dance. He said yes.

He was dancing on the edge of the dancefloor and his partner didn't mind. He couldn't wait till it was his turn to fight again. When his name was called from the loudspeaker and he excused himself, his partner promised to buy him a drink if he won.

In the rink he couldn't hear the people on the dance floor, just those at the bar or observing. Vaurus, his opponent, was a mutant sheep with huge horns and bulging muscles. Raph already knew how he was going to win. When the starting bell rang the sheep charged and Raph dodged out of the way. This repeated many times and soon Vaurus was staggering around exhausted. This time when Vaurus charged Raph jumped onto his back and Vaurus collapsed to the floor too tired to get up. Raph had won.

As he made his way back up to the bar his T-phone rang and he reluctantly answered. It was Leo. "Raph! Where are you?! We've been looking for you everywhere!" Shoot! In his elation to be free for the evening he had forgotten to imply he was hanging with Casey. Oblivious to Raph's panic Leo continued on "And then we called Casey and he said he hadn't seen you and when we thought back on it, we hadn't seen you for over 3 hours so then we panicked. Thankfully Sensei thought to suggest we called you."

"Uh… yeah sorry. I was looking for some Foot to beat up." Raph finally found his voice. He could hear Leo sigh down the line.

"Okay but warn us next time. You should come home now anyway."

Raph took one last look at his oasis and sighed. "Sure man. I'm on my way."
