One afternoon at Autobot Headquarters, some time after Optimus Prime had departed for the Decepticons' space bridge so that he could travel to Cybertron and rescue Elita One, his presumed-dead girlfriend, Ironhide, Powerglide, Inferno, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, and Perceptor were discussing what had happened.
"Optimus Prime must be trying to get to Cybertron", Powerglide said, "but why?"
"And why by himself", Inferno asked.
"Well, there's only one way to find out", Ironhide said, "Autobots, transform!"
Ironhide, Powerglide, Inferno, Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper all transformed into vehicle mode.
"To the space bridge", Ironhide said.
"Right behind you, Ironhide", Bumblebee said.
And with that, the five Autobots drove off to the location of the Decepticons' space bridge, with Perceptor running alongside them, and soon arrived there to find it being guarded by the Constructicons.
"If Prime got past those guards, so can we", Ironhide said.
"Good", Inferno said, "'cause I'm in the mood for some action."
"I'll distract the Constructicons", Perceptor said, "and while they're busy, you five enter the space bridge and travel to Cybertron."
"Thanks, Perceptor", Cliffjumper said, "you're a real pal."
"Oh, thank nothing of it", Perceptor said.
Perceptor snuck over to the space bridge and began firing his gun at the Constructicons, which caught their attention.
"It's an Autobot", Bonecrusher said.
"He must be trying to get to the space bridge", Scavenger said.
"Well, he won't get anywhere near it", Scrapper said, "Constructicons, attack!"
The Constructicons opened fire on Perceptor, and Ironhide, Powerglide, Inferno, Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper made a break for the space bridge.
"Now's our chance", Ironhide said,
The five Autobots got into the space bridge, and by the time the Constructicons realized what was going on, they had already been transported to Cybertron.
"We've been bamboozled", Hook said.
Perceptor took advantage of this and fled the scene.
"Megatron's not going to be happy about this", Long Haul said.
"No he will not", Scrapper said.
On Cybertron, the five Autobots arrived in Shockwave's headquarters.
"Here we are, fellas", Ironhide said, "the belly of the beast."
Then, they heard evil laughter.
"Do you hear that", Bumblebee asked.
"Sounds like Decepticons", Powerglide said.
"Come on, you guys", Inferno said, "let's go and greet 'em."
The five Autobots walked down the hall and entered a room, where Shockwave, Starscream, Rumble, Astrotrain, and Ramjet were standing in front of a vat of acid.
"Okay, Starscream", Ironhide said, "the party's over!"
"On the contrary, it has just begun", Starscream said, "the destruction of Optimus Prime is a long-awaited victory for the Decepticons."
There, inside the vat, was a piece of purple metal.
"That is what is left of your leader", Starscream said.
"It can't be", Inferno said.
"It's a Decepticon trick", Powerglide said.
"Yeah", Bumblebee said, "that must be what it is."
"Autobots, attack", Ironhide shouted.
"With pleasure", Cliffjumper said.
The Autobots opened fire on the Decepticons, knocking Shockwave and Ramjet down, and when Ironhide fired at Astrotrain, the latter ducked out of the way, causing him to create a hole in the wall, which the Decepticons ran through, followed by the Autobots.
"Don't let them get away", Ironhide said.
Soon, the Autobots cornered the Decepticons, and they began to battle again, with the latter having the upper hand, but at that moment, Chromia, Moonracer, Firestar, Greenlight, and Lancer, some of the female Autobots, arrived on the scene and saw what was happening.
"Do you see what I see", Chromia asked.
"Autobots", Moonracer said.
"And it looks like they could use our help", Firestar said, "let's go!"
"You got it, Firestar", Greenlight said.
"Time to back them up with a little girl power", Lancer said.
The female Autobots ran into battle, and Ironhide was the first to take notice of them, especially Chromia.
"Chromia", Ironhide said.
Starscream flew down to witness this.
"How quaint", Starscream said, "the girls have come to rescue their boyfriends!"
Inferno then noticed Firestar running up to him.
"Firestar", Inferno said, "been a long time!"
The two worked together to blast back Astrotrain and Shockwave, and Moonracer ran next to Powerglide.
"I hope you're still the best sharpshooter in the galaxy, Moonracer", Powerglide said.
"In the universe, Powerglide", Moonracer said.
Moonracer shot a pillar that landed on Ramjet and Rumble, and Starscream tried to shoot Bumblebee, but Greenlight threw a large piece of rock at him.
"Nice to know you've still got my back, Greenlight", Bumblebee said.
"Anytime, Bee", Greenlight said.
Starscream got up and began to run away, and Lancer walked over to Cliffjumper.
"I think you'll be needing this", Lancer said.
Lancer was holding a ridiculously large gun.
"You know me well, Lancer", Cliffjumper said.
Lancer handed Cliffjumper the gun, and he ran over to Starscream and aimed it at him.
"Not so fast, Starscream", Cliffjumper said, "you're not running away this time."
Starscream backed away, and turned around to find Ironhide and Chromia aiming their guns at him.
"Now don't hog all the fun, Cliffjumper", Ironhide said, "we want a shot at him too."
Cliffjumper, Ironhide, and Chromia backed the treacherous air commander towards the edge of a cliff.
"Now then", Ironhide said, "ladies first."
"Why thank you, Ironhide", Chromia said.
Chromia aimed her gun at Starscream.
"Don't shoot", Starscream said.
"Cowardly as ever", Chromia said.
Starscream jumped off the cliff, transformed into jet mode, and flew away, but turned around, transformed back into robot mode, and landed next to the other Decepticons, who had all recovered.
"Blast them to pieces", Starscream shouted.
A big gunfight broke out between the Autobots and Decepticons, and the latter soon found themselves disarmed and up against a wall.
"We've won", Ironhide said, "now!"
"Wrong, Autobot", Shockwave said.
Shockwave transformed into his laser gun mode and blasted them.
"Not unless you can fly", Shockwave said.
The force of the shot sent the Autobots flying, and pretty soon, they were hanging over the edge of a cliff.
"That's it, Shockwave", Starscream said, "push them over the edge!"
The Autobots tried to climb back up, but Shockwave blasted at them again, and Chromia took notice of something.
"Look", Chromia said.
There, driving towards the scene, was Optimus and Elita, both in vehicle mode.
"Prime", Ironhide said, "and Elita One!"
"I knew Prime would show up", Bumblebee said.
"And I knew Elita would, too", Greenlight said.
"It can't be", Starscream said, "I saw his melted carcass!"
The two lovers transformed into robot mode, and Optimus fired at the Decepticons.
"Decepticons, retreat", Starscream shouted.
Astrotrain transformed into his space shuttle mode, and once Starscream, Rumble, and Ramjet boarded him, he blasted off.
"This one has your name on it, Shockwave", Elita said.
Elita fired her gun at Shockwave, and he fell down into the pits of Cybertron.
"So much for Shockwave", Powerglide said.
"He'll be back soon enough", Moonracer said.
"And it sure is great to see you back", Firestar said.
"You bet", Inferno said.
A little while later, the Autobots were checking out the new base Alpha Trion had set up for the females.
"It's really amazing how quickly Alpha Trion set up our new headquarters", Moonracer said, "and with such advanced equipment."
"You should see our headquarters on Earth", Powerglide said, "it's full of this stuff."
"I'd love to return with you", Moonracer said, "when the war's over."
In another part of the base, Inferno and Firestar were talking.
"I sure miss our rescue missions together, Firestar", Inferno said.
"Me too, Inferno", Firestar said.
"We're still quite a team, wouldn't you say", Inferno asked.
"As good as we ever were", Firestar said.
Near them was Ironhide and Chromia talking.
"Well, Ironhide", Chromia said, "I hate to admit it, but it's been good to see you after all this time."
The two shared a hug, and across the base, Bumblebee and Greenlight were talking to each other.
"Sounds like you and Spike have had some fun together on Earth", Greenlight said, "I hope I get to meet him someday."
"Me too", Bumblebee said, "I want him to see how great a girl you are."
Next to them was Cliffjumper and Lancer, who were also talking with each other.
"I'm telling you, Lancer", Cliffjumper said, "taking out Decepticons just isn't as fun without you doing it with me."
"I can say the same", Lancer said, "maybe one day, we'll fight side-by-side once again."
"I'll be ready when that day comes", Cliffjumper said, "count on that."
Pretty soon, it came time for the male Autobots to return to Earth, and while Ironhide, Powerglide, Inferno, Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper waved goodbye to their girlfriends, Optimus spoke with Elita.
"It's time for us to go, Elita", Optimus said, "I wish we didn't have to part again."
"I feel the same way, Prime", Elita said, "but we must continue to fight here on Cybertron."
"I guess we have Alpha Trion to thank for our victory", Optimus said.
"Yes, such a wise old Autobot", Elita said, "he's almost like a father to me."
"Me too", Optimus said, "more than I ever thought."
Optimus joined the other five Autobots in the space bridge.
"Goodbye, Optimus Prime", Elita said, "don't stay away too long!"
Elita waved goodbye as the six Autobots were transported back to Earth.
