"I- I don't want to hear it!" Elena exclaimed as she barged through the door to her home, with Syd following her close by. I jogged to catch up with them, as they were already in the middle of the building.

"How are we supposed to be in a relationship if you're not going to listen to me!?" Syd yelled back, throwing their arms in the air.

Alex, who was sitting on the couch, gave me a look. I shrugged and turned to watch my two friends argue. Again.

"How are we supposed to be in a relationship if you are flirting with other people! Especially your ex!" Elena practically screamed, her face growing an unnatural shade of pink. "In front of me, too!"

"I wasn't flirting, Elena! Listen to me!" Syd replied, placing their hands on Elena's shoulders, who shrugged away and took a step back.

"Alright." She answered, much calmer this time. "I'm listening. What do you have to say?"

Silence filled the room as Elena stared intently at Syd, waiting for an answer that never came.

"Okay." She murmured quietly, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose. "I deserve better than this, Syd."

"Please don't do this to me, Elena. Please. It was a mistake-"

"It wasn't a mistake if it happened twice." Elena shook her head and walked over to the door. "Since this is already open, you can just walk out now."

Syd's eyes screamed regret as they neared the door and gave Elena a pleading look, which she couldn't see because her own eyes were staring holes into her shoes.

"I'm sorry." Syd's voice broke as they left the Alvarez home and Elena immediately shut the door.

I ran over to comfort my best friend, wrapping my arms around her body and placing a kiss on her head. Her hands grabbed my arms as she sobbed quietly into my neck. Alex got up from the couch slowly and joined in, wrapping his arms around his sister so she was trapped between us.

It stayed like that for a few minutes before Elena announced that she was going to lie down for a while.

"Do you want me to come with you?" I asked as Alex pulled away from the group hug and i let go of my friend.

"Duh." Elena answered with a slight laugh, which made me smile.

"I could go get some snacks and we could watch a movie later? Would that make you feel better?" Alex suggested, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Pfft, there's no way Mami would let me, never mind you, go to a store on my own. And i'm seventeen!" Elena laughed. "Speaking of Mami, where is she?"

"Oh, she's with Abuelita shopping. Said it was urgent." He placed bunny ears around urgent. Elena looked at me and we both wore the same expression.

"We all know what that means." I said and Elena nodded in agreement while Alex just scrunched his eyebrows.

"A date, Alex. She's shopping for new clothes, she's going on a date! What else would she be shopping for?" My best friend rolled her eyes and then grabbed my hand. My eyes widened before i realised she was just leading me to her bedroom.

"Oh, i don't know, groceries?!" Alex called after us.

Elena shut the door and flung herself on her bed, grabbing her pillow and letting out a large groan into it. I kicked off my shoes and sat on the end with my legs crossed.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked, watching as Elena removed the pillow from her face and sat up.

"Yes. No. Maybe? I don't know!" She sighed agitatedly, fixing her glasses.

"It's just, it's happened before and..."

Her eyebrows were furrowed over her pretty brown eyes and a few wrinkles appeared on her forehead, something that usually occurred when she was stressed. No matter how many times she tried to keep her glasses up, they kept sliding down her nose, and she would repeatedly push them back up. Her hair was in a ponytail and a few strands framed her face, but she kept pushing them behind her ear.

She wore a flannel over a thin t-shirt with light grey sweatpants that made her ass look amaz-

"Hey, Y/N, are you even listening to me?" Elena waved her hand in my face with a goofy smile on her lips, oh god, those lips-

"What? Oh my god, are my lips chapped? I can not be seen with chapped lips."

Shit. I didn't mean to say it out loud.

She began to search for chapstick frantically but i placed a hand on her thigh gently. Her head shot towards me and her face was flushed, a soft gasp escaped her mouth.

"What?" I smirked, pulling chapstick from my pocket and giving to her.

"N-Nothing." She stuttered, grabbing it from me and applying it to her lips, which were perfectly fine. I still had my hand on her thigh and inched my fingers slightly higher before removing my hand completely. Before i could place it back in my lap, Elena grabbed my hand.

I raised my eyebrows in question and her shoulders lifted and dropped in a short shrug while her eyes looked at everything but me.

"This just makes me feel safe. I feel safe here, with you, like this. You know?" Her thumb ran over my hand gently. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and her teeth sunk into her lip.

"I- I don't know what i'm saying." She added with a nervous laugh. "You're my friend. You're my best friend. We're friends, right? And i know we've had our little bumps and weird cheek kisses which always made me blush. I found Syd but i felt like we were more friends than romantic partners. Now i'm just rambling and i-"

"Shut up." I mumbled quietly before crawling up to the top of the bed and pressing my lips against hers for the first time.

Elena and I have had a very close friendship. It began with compliments, then random hand holding under the table, followed by soft cheek kisses. Everything just led up to this.

Elena was the one who pushed for more. Her hands gripped my waist and pulled me between her legs boldly. I detached our lips with a smug smirk on my face, to which Elena rolled her eyes with heated cheeks.

I relaxed my body on top of her and lay my head on her boobs. The most comfortable cushions. She began to twirl a piece of my hair around her finger.

"I actually felt something." She announced suddenly. I moved my head so i could gaze up at her.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What i mean is, every time Syd and i would kiss, i wouldn't feel special. It just didn't feel right. I think i know what right feels like now. Can i experience it again?" Elena asked, a mischievous look in her eyes.

"Course." I smirked and cupped her cheek when she leaned down to press a kiss on my lips.
