Chapter 1: Wrath of the Gods
On top of a skyscraper looming over Tokyo casting a huge shadow over the beautiful modern city as two mysterious figures stand on top of the tower. "So, this is Earth, such a beautiful sky in this world," a refined man said.
"Seem boring to me, just a bunch of weak humans," the rough man said as the refined man strokes his chin to see all the traffic down below.
"Still these humans are quite interesting. Did you read the reports on the Phantom Thieves?" the refined man asked to see the rough man shaking his head dismissively.
"Yeah, what makes them any different than the other weak Persona Users we fought and killed," the rough man said to question why they are here for he lets out a big yawn.
"Indeed, but this city houses our great foe. Mei Fong, the Chinese Persona User wielding a certain power that subverts our defenses. She is seen with the leader of these fiends within the city," the refined man said.
"Oh, the Gravity Queen herself, I am gearing to fight her," the rough man said.
"Calm down, my brother. We will have our chance to fight the Gravity Queen but we need to test these Phantom Thieves with one of our men," the refined man snaps his fingers to see a large tall man teleport behind them.
"What is your wish Overseers Ad and Vee?" he asked as he kneels before them.
"We need to bring up our presence, we have managed to make a great base underneath the city. Our moment is nigh, go to the park nearby and cause some trouble. The heroes will come in and will be humbled to our rule of this world," Ad said.
"Yes sir," the soldier said to teleport out of there.
"Well, these humans now have real saviors. We will save them from themselves and prevent total self-destruction," Ad said to have a big smile on his face to look up into the sky to see a small growing void twisting the air around it. "Our time is nigh," he said in a soft tone for them to look from afar.
Elsewhere, Mei Fong is within her house within Tokyo to see Ren aka Joker getting down the stairs wanting to get some breakfast. "Morning Miss Fong," he said as the now 18-year-old Ren is grabbing some cereal and orange juice.
He looks upon a short 5'2 tall woman with tanned skin, shoulder-length blond hair, warm brown eyes and in her earlier 20s. She is wearing a simple pink nightgown fitting her shapely pear figure with her sporting a big smile on her face.
"Morning Ren, man kid you really can sleep huh?" Mei asked in a thick Chinese accent while speaking perfect Japanese to him.
"Yeah, that's what happens when you trying to beat a game boss for the 50th time," Ren said to let out a big yawn.
"So how was that date with Ann last time, how was the food at the buffet?" Mei asked as Ren shows a bright smile.
"It was great, it has some tasty stuff served but Ann ate over a pound of chocolate pudding," Ren said as Mei's brown eyes widen at this.
"Gee, she has a black hole for a stomach. She has that perfect Hourglass figure and my belly explodes when I eat a cupcake," Mei said with a groan. "Ren, did you get the goods last night?" she asked in a suggestive tone to make him red in the face.
"Well, we did some kissing here and there," Ren said acting sly about it as Mei shakes her head.
"Oh, these past 18 months, you have been doing more than kissing. I hear your bed shaking upstairs several times within these past few weeks, you are playing poking the blonde's love spot," she said in a jokey tone to see the young man's face is like a tomato.
"Sorry about that," Ren said to touch his cheek nervously.
"Well I don't mind if you two are doing it, just keep those hormones in check. Just don't knock her up kid," Mei said.
"I and Ann are being careful, I don't want to ruin her chances in her modeling career," Ren said.
"I see, I been seeing her in the local fashion magazines. She is looking killer in those outfits," Mei said as Ren has a goofy look on his face.
"She sure does," he said as Mei press her finger on his forehead to tiptoe to do that.
"Hey, kid. Close your mouth, you don't want Ann thinking you are a weirdo," Mei said as he begins making his food and eating it at the table within the living room of her house.
"Gee, it's been 18 months since his crimes were lifted. He wanted to stay in Tokyo to continue his schoolwork and keep close to his friends and girlfriend. His parents permitted him and I became his guardian to live under my roof while he studies for his future," Mei thought to look at the young man with curiosity and interest.
"Yeah Ann, would love me despite that," Ren said with a smile for Mei utters a sigh.
"I know that too well," Mei said as they hear the doorbell ringing to see a tall blond Japanese girl of 18 years old with a big bright smile and a wave.
"Morning," she said cheerfully. Ren goes up to the door to unlock to be greeted with a hug and warm kiss to the lips. "Morning baby," she said.
"Hey there Angel," Ren said as she giggles at her cute nickname. "Hello Miss Fong, good to see you,
she said.
"Likewise; Ann, what is the plan today?" Mei asked for a black cat Morgana appears to jump into Ren's bag
"We are going to Futaba's place with Ryuji to play some tabletop RPG called Swords and Magic. It seems like fun," Ann said.
"Oh; I see, have fun kids but don't have too much fun okay," Mei said to see the two's faces glowing like a bright tomato.
"We will see you later. Come on Ren, let's go," Ann grabs his hand to go outside for Mei just looks at the door.
"Those two seem so happy together. The treat of youth is very sweet," Mei said as she looks out the window to sense something in the distance. "There is a storm coming and this one the Phantom Thieves can't beat alone with their current level of power," she said to sense the three's Personas for they are not enough alone.
Morgana is pouting in his bag to see Ren and Ann holding hands. "I still can't believe you hooked up with Ann," he complained.
"Relax, there will be other fish in the ocean," Ren said trying to calm him down.
"Yeah, I guess," Morgana said admitting defeat.
"What are you talking about?" Ann asked to see them muttering to each other.
"Oh nothing, guy stuff," Ren said as Ann raises her eyebrow to dismiss it and look very happy.
"Oh; I see, man its been over a year since our last big mission. Its been peaceful and calm, I like it this way," Ann said to kiss him on the cheek.
"Me too," Ren said to enjoy the cool summer breeze washing over them.
"Yeah, no fighting and no problems. Just, you, me and our friends just enjoying life. It's very blissful," Ann said to lie her head on his shoulder to head towards Sakura's household.
"But it feels too quiet lately," Ren said as Morgana shares the same thoughts.
"Indeed, the police back off and now this eerie calm. I hope this isn't leaning into anything," Morgana said sounding worried.
"You guys worry too much, we fought off two big threats in a row. We deserve some rest and playtime," Ann said in a flirty tone making her boyfriend's face warm for she thinks this is so cute.
"Yeah, going to look forward to that," Ren said to look at her white bouse which looks snug against her overly ample chest.
"Looking at something nice, big guy?" she asked with a cute little wink.
"Yes, yes it is. Did your blouse gets smaller?" he asked.
"Oh yeah, I am growing out. I am gifted with my mom's curves, things are getting pretty tight," Ann said as Morgana is staring at her outfit which is a white blouse which formed around her growing sizable breasts. Her blue jean skirt and black tights underneath fitting her curvy rear and long shapely legs.
"Indeed, big front and back," Morgana said with stars in his eyes for he felt his head get hit by Ann's fist.
"Eyes up cat," Ann said.
"Oh, come on, the view was so nice," Morgana said.
"Only Ren has access to that and much more," Ann said in a flirty tone towards her lover as the cat utters a sigh.
"Lucky bastard, oh great leader," Morgana said for them to reach Sakura's house to see a very short orange-haired girl appearing at the door.
"Oh, hey big bro, Morgana, and boobs," Futaba said bluntly as Ann utters a sigh.
"I have a name remember?" she asked as she points at her large breasts.
"Yeah Boobs, gee you are getting pretty big. Are they F Cups now?" she asked.
"There are 36F cup if that answers your question," Ann said as Futaba pokes them to watch them jiggle under her blouse. Ann moves back to guard her chest by crossing her arms over them. "Hey Futaba, these are not toys," she said in protest.
"I bet big bro thinks of them as toys right?" Futaba asked in a trolling manner.
"Guilty," Ren said as they come inside with Ryuji setting up his character on the sheet.
"Yo guys, we are about to start. I need to get some snacks from the kitchen," Ryuji said as everyone else sits at the table with Futaba behind all her stuff.
"Well I will be the dungeon master for this session," Futaba said as Ren has a bad feeling about this.
"Oh boy, this is going to be rough," Ren said as Ann looks excited.
"Oh, I want to be a Sorceress of Light Annabella," Ann said.
"Okay, let us begin," Futaba said as she clears up the situation they are about to get into. "Annabella, you have entered the door to the North. You are now by yourself, standing in a dark room. The pungent smell of mildew emanates from the wet dungeon walls," she said setting up the atmosphere with Ann looking down at her character sheet with an eager glint in her pale blue eyes.
"Where are the chips?" Ryuji asked to ruin the mood.
"They're right next to you!" Futaba shouted as Ann made her move.
"I cast a spell!" she said as Futaba gets distracted by Ryuji again.
"Where's the soda?" he asked as Futaba shakes her in disbelief.
"In the fridge, duh!" she raised her voice.
"I want to cast a spell!" Ann repeated herself.
"Can I have a soda?" Ryuji asked.
"Yes! You can have a soda, just go get it!" Futaba said.
"I can cast any of these, right? On the list?" Ann asked in confusion for Futaba to look annoyed by her rookie behavior.
"Yes, any of the first level ones," Futaba said
"I'm going to get a soda, anyone want one? Hey Futaba, I'm not in the room, right?" Ryuji asked about the game session.
"What room?" she asked
"I want to cast Magic Missile…'" Ann asked as Ryuji butts in.
"The room where she's casting all these spells from," Ryuji said.
"She hasn't cast anything yet!" Futaba said with a raised voice.
"I am though if you'd listen. I'm casting Magic Missile!'" Ann raises her voice to get the dungeon master's attention.
"Why are you using Magic Missile? There's nothing to attack here," Futaba said looking confused by this.
"I… I'm attacking The Darkness!" Ann said in a silly way for everyone is laughing at Ann's silly joke.
"Fine! Fine! You attack 'The Darkness'. There's an elf in front of you," Futaba said.
"Woah!" Ann's eyes widen to look at her boyfriend.
"That's me, right?" Ren asked.
"Yes, it is, big bro. He's wearing a brown tunic and he has grey hair and blue eyes. Okay, you guys can talk to each other now if you want," she said.
"Hello," Ann said awkwardly
"Hello," Ren looking awkward as well.
"I am Annabelle, Sorceress of Light," Ann trying to act into her role.
"Then how come you had to cast 'magic missile'?" Ren let out a joke for this had the room rolling in laughing fits.
"You guys are being attacked," Futaba said to change it back to the game at hand.
"Do I see this happening?" Ryuji asked.
"No! You're outside by the tavern!" Futaba shouted.
"Cool! I get drunk!" Ryuji said with glee as Futaba deeply sighs at this
"7 ogres are surrounding you," Futaba said.
"How did that happen to us? I had Morin's Magical Watchdog cast," Ann said.
"No, you didn't!" Futaba said being bothered by this.
"I'm getting drunk! Are there any girls there?" Ryuji asked but Ann talks over him.
"I did! You asked me if I wanted any equipment before this adventure and I said no but I need material components for all my spells so I cast Morin's Faithful Watchdog," Ann said as Futaba noticed she said the same spell differently.
"But you never actually cast it," Futaba said.
"Roll the dice to see if I'm getting drunk!" Ryuji asked.
Futaba sighs and rolls the dice on the table not bothering to look at the number. "Yeah! You are!" she said.
"Are there any girls there?" he asked.
"Yeah!" Futaba raises her voice to be very annoyed by both Ryuji and Ann they are not taking the game seriously at all.
"I did though! I completely said when you asked me," Ann getting angry with Futaba tossing it back at her.
"No, you didn't! You didn't say that you were casting the spells so now there are ogres, okay?!" Futaba sounding more annoyed.
"Ogres?! Man, I got an ogre-slaying knife! It's got a +9 against ogres!" Ryuji said as Ren shakes his head at this.
"You're not there! You're getting drunk!" Futaba said as Morgana looks on in disbelief to see dumpster fire taking place in front of him.
"Ann, you are not supposed to pick a fight with the dungeon master," Morgana said as Ann lets out a sigh.
"Oh fine," Ann said as Futaba has a smirk on her face.
"Nice, time to go into combat. Pick up your dices," Futaba said as both Ren aka Owen the Elf Ranger and Ann aka Annabelle the Human Sorceress.
"Okay I am casting Firebolt," Ann said.
"Roll a 4 or higher number to score a hit, get 9 or 10 to get a critical hit," Futaba said as Ann rolls a dice to see it lands on a 2. "Opps too bad, you missed and took 25 points of damage," she said.
"Damn it," Ann said as its Ren turn on and manage to get a 10 on his dice roll.
"Oh; good toss big bro, you manage to shoot an arrow from your longbow and get a double kill headshot leaving five ogres left," Futaba said.
"Okay I use Warp," Ann tosses her dice again for it lands on a 1.
"Oh Ann, so unlucky. You miss again and took 30 points of damage from the enemy," she said as Ann's eyes widen.
"I am getting bad rolls," Ann said.
"Okay big bro, go for it," Futaba said as Ren nods his head.
"Okay I use Explosive Impact," Ren said to roll a 9 on the dice.
"You manage to rock off a broken wall to gain airtime and you use a powerful magical arrow to impact the middle of the group taking them down in a huge magical blast. You cleared the way, way to go, big bro," she gives him a high five.
"Why do you make Ren sound so cool when you talk about the scenes we are here," Ann questioned.
"Oh Ann, it is just in your head," Futaba said to get back to the story. "You two manage to reach a bridge over a raging river, you meet a troll blocking the way. He says '' The only way to pass is to reveal a woman's secret,' she said with a cheeky smile.
"Woman's secret?" Ann asked.
"Your boobs, flash them to the troll," Futaba said as Ren, Ryuji, Ann, and Morgana have their mouths open wide.
"Why did I see this coming, do I have to show them?" Ann sighs at this as Futaba fixes up her glasses.
"Yes, but I will be fair of course, I roll the dice. 5 or higher the troll lets you through with a simple fee of gold or 4 and behind. You show them tits," Futaba said as Ann rolls the dice with the young woman looking bothered by this. "Show me the goods," she said.
"Fine, Ryuji and Morgana turn around," Ann said.
"Why is Ren looking?" Ryuji asked.
"That is a dumb question, he is my boyfriend. He has seen them before multiple times," Ann said as she blushes to see him leering at her chest.
"Lucky bastard," Morgana and Ryuji said at the same time to turn around. She begins to lift her blouse to show off her large F Cups trapped in a pink lacy bra.
"Those are very cute," Ren said as Ann has a smile on her face.
"Well, I brought them since I wanted to feel pretty for you. Since after this, we will be having some fun if you caught my drift," Ann said with a sexy wink and kissing the air making her boyfriend blush.
"Can't wait for that," Ren said as Ann looks at the small woman staring at Ann's breasts jiggling under her bra.
"Are you done yet Futaba?" she asked.
"They are so big, round and jiggle like pudding. Does big bro like girls this big?" she wondered to look down at her flat chest. "Well I have other things that Ann doesn't have," Futaba thought. "Alright, you can pull it down now," Futaba said.
"Oh; thank goodness, you two better not peek," Ann said.
"Our scouts' honor," the two said.
"Yeah my ass," she said.
"That is a lot of ass to cover Ann," Ren joked for this made Ann flushed.
"Ren, you would like that. Would you?" she asked with a meek look which he finds adorable.
"You know that answer already," Ren said in a flirty tone making her heart go aflutter.
"Oh, you are a sweetie pie, Baby," Ann said to kiss him on the lips for Futaba feel odd looking at this.
"Big Bro, why do I feel this way," she thought tenderly.
Elsewhere Mei is within her house to enjoy her time watching some Anime to see something in the air for it becomes more obvious. "It has begun, Mr. G said it so. When the symbol of freedom dies on this day, ruin will come to this world by the heavens itself," Mei said as her eyes widen to take out her phone to call Ren and the others.
Within the Sakura household, something is amiss as Ren looks outside to see a hole in the sky. "What is that?" Ren wondered for Morgana senses it as well.
"Trouble that is what is it," Morgana said to see the girls are in a weird shouting match about Ann thinking the dices are rigged.
"Girls, be quiet," Ren said in a forceful tone to make them stop trying to figure out what is going on outside.
"Oh; Big Bro, you sound so serious," Futuba said being taken aback by the severe tone in his voice. Then Ren's phone is ringing for him to pick it up to hear Mei's voice.
"Ren, take your friends and meet me at my house," Mei said as there are explosions in the back.
"What the hell is going on here?" Ren asked.
"I know you are the Phantom Thieves and I know you are Joker, the great leader," Mei said as Ren's eyes widen by this surprise.
"How did you know that?" Ren asked.
"I have my connection and you need more power to defeat these foes that are coming for you," Mei said.
"What do we do?" he asked to have faith in Mei.
"Run and avoid all combat, they have a special energy that makes all your attacks and spells useless without certain energy to counter it. That is why you need to go meet me so I can give the means to fight back," Mei said.
"I see, we will meet you there," Ren said to see Morgana looks like what he does in the Metaverse. "Hey, you look different," he said as Morgana looks like a cartoon cat.
"Hey, you too, in your thief gear," Morgana said as the others look down to be surprised by this.
"Hey, why is this happening," Ann questioned.
"Don't know, it's very odd," Ryuji said.
"No time to be clueless, rush to my house ASAP or the machines will get you," Mei said on speaker as the others are confused.
"Machines," Futuba said sounding confused.
"Let's go," Ren said as they rush outside for an explosion knocks them back to see a large bipedal machine appears.
"Phantom Thieves, engaging in combat," the monotone voice said as it fires missiles to rain down into the Sakura's house flatten into the ground.
"Damn it, all my stuff is in there. You jackass," Futuba said as she leaps into her Persona while the others activate their powers as well.
Ann lobs a fireball at the machine but nothing happened. Ryuji goes up and slams his hammer into the hull of the machine but did no damage. Joker wields his pistol to blast it but no damage has been made.
"She was not kidding, none of our attacks are working," Ren said as they begin to retreat into the streets to see people are being ripped apart but these machines look sleek and white with curves and grooves on their bodies.
"They are killing people, we have to do something," Ann said feel sadden by the sights of innocent people being killed like livestock.
"No, bare that pain and head here," Mei said.
"I understand, guys we need to move," Ren said to see Ann look bothered by this. "I understand how you feel but there is nothing for we can do for them until we get this power from Miss Fong," Ren said as Ann nods.
"I know but I still don't like leaving them like this," Ann said as Ren nods his head to go off.
"Guys, this Yusuke what is going on here?" he asked on the radio.
"What is happening in the city?" Makoto asked as well.
"The whole city is overrun with robots," Haru said as Tokyo is being overrun with powerful machines big and small littering the ground and air.
"It's like a nightmare," Morgana said as they are closing in the park.
"Good, once we go through here. It's smooth sailing," Joker said as they see the others within the park to wear their Thief gear as well.
"Thank goodness, you all are okay," Makoto said.
"We need to regroup with Miss Fong," Ann said as everyone nods for a 7-foot young man appear covered in a white and gold armor while wielding a large sword with the blade in the shape of an angel feather.
"So, these are the Phantom Thieves I heard so much about. I am not impressed at all," the huge man said as Ryuji brush off his threat.
"We fought bigger dudes than you," he said as the man laughs at them.
"Fighting distortions of humans are child's play. Fighting an android of the Helios Legion and fighting a living distortion is like an ant to a skyscraper. There is no contest, I am Commander Gwen of the Helios Legion and I will put all in your place," the android said.
"We can do this, all 8 of us can take him," Ryuji said as Mei's voice buzzed into his comlink.
"Dumbass, you can't. They wield Angelic energy meaning anything that is not that or Demonic energy will be useless. Seems like you are trapped there, I am coming there myself. Hold him off," Mei said as she grabs a small bag holding multiple purple stones inside feeling the power inside.
"I hope I am not too late," Mei looks at the purple stone on her backhand to empower her to be covered in a veil of red energy to leap out of the window to head for the park nearby.
The park has become a battlefield as all 8 of the Phantom Thieves try their best but are being batted aside like rats. Joker, Mono, Queen and Fox trade blows with the powerfully build android with the others supporting with elemental spells.
"Come on, this is all you can do," Gwen said as he easily blocks and redirects their attacks and spells. He unleashes a powerful blast of energy to surge out of his body to knock all of them back. He goes after Yusuke first to pound his sword into his face to knock him face-first into the dirt.
He grabs him by the feet to pound him recklessly onto the dirt with each blow making a deeper hole and getting stronger than before. He tosses him into a tree to hear his back is broken.
"Earthly Rend," he drags his blade through the grass to unleash a barrage of stone spikes out of the ground. The swarm of stone spikes slams into Yusuke to take the full blow of the hit. Yusuke flops onto the grass to see he reverts to normal.
"Fox!" Makoto goes in to fire nuclear bolts out of her hands with Gwen easily dodging him with Makoto letting out several blows but Gwen sidesteps with ease. He catches her fist and headbutts her to knock her backward.
"Blade Storm," Gwen draws his blade and thrust at Makoto multiple times with each strike getting worse than the last. Then with one final strike sends Makoto flying into the dirt with several of her bones broken and blood oozing out of her wounds as she reverts to her normal state.
"Damn it, we are being knocked out like nothing," Mono said as he and Ryuji double team to push him back. Morgana summons a twister of sharp winds to encase the monstrous android with Ryuji casting down a bolt of lightning. The lightning spell hits the tornado to unleash a huge explosion.
"That was a good combo," Ryuji said.
"Indeed, what the hell?" Morgana said to see the android just standing there with a smirk on his face to playfully brush the dirt off his shoulders.
"Is that all, my turn," Gwen swiftly moves like a flash of light to be in front of Ryuji. In one swift motion, he lands a powerful blow to Ryuji's stomach making him spit up blood and hearing bones crack. The blow sends him flying through several trees and crashing into a small building.
"Skull, you monster. Take this," Haru lobs ice grenades from her launcher as Gwen holds them up into the air with telekinesis. Haru looks surprised as he tosses them back for Noir gets hit with multiple ice blasts.
Gwen jumps in front of Haru who is an ice statue now. He flicks his fingers to fling her into a building to break out of her icy tomb and suffering severe wounds.
"This is awful Joker," Ann said to wield her sword whip to begin peppering the android with fireballs along with Joker. All their spells are just bouncing off the body of the android for he is very amused by this.
"Hey Oracle, you got any data we can use?" Joker asked on his comlink for Futuba shakes her head in disbelief.
"Sorry big bro, I got nothing," Oracle said as she is floating high about the battlefield to only watch to feel very helpless. "Damn it, I feel so useless now," she thought as Mona, Joker, and Ann are the only field agents left on the field.
Ann is using her sword whip to leash out on Gwen for he grabs the whip to pour electricity through it and shocking Ann. She gets dragged by the raw strength of this android to swing her hard into a tree. He lifted several uprooted trees with his telekinesis. He slams all of them at once into her wounding her further.
"Ann," Joker said feeling angry that his friends and girlfriend being toss aside like broken dolls within this place.
"Damn it, we are getting our asses kicked," Ann gets out of the debris to power up her next spell.
"That is a lot of ass to kick," Joker said lightly.
"Very funny, Flare Bomb," Ann fires an orb of flames to hit behind Gwen to leave a huge hole. "Knock him in," she said on the radio.
"Good idea, Tornado Slash," Joker and Mono use their blades to generate a powerful gust to knock the android off his feet and into the deep hole. They use their wind magic to blow all the dirt into the hole until it fills up.
"Well, I didn't think that would work," Ann uses a healing spell to fix up her wounds to be back in fighting shape.
"Yeah, hopefully, it would hold him until Miss Fong arrives here," Morgana said as the ground shakes for Joker and Panther move away but Mona gets caught inside a slab of rock.
"Go bye human freedom. Rock Tomb," Mona suffers massive amounts of damage from the sheer pressure crushing his body. Joker and Panther look on horror for their friend and mentor got crush to near death. Morgana falls out of the rocky slab for Ren and Ann to go beside him.
"Mona no!" they both shouted as they see he reverts to his cat state beginning to die in Ann's arms.
"Damn it, I guess I can't dodge fate," Morgana said as Joker is barely holding it together while Ann is crying her heart out.
"Morgana, don't leave us," Ann said as Morgana looks upon her beautiful face with her crystal blue eyes shedding tears down onto his fur.
"Oh man, dying in Ann's arms. That is high on my list of preferred deaths," Morgana said as Ann hits him on the head.
"You stupid cat," Ann said to hold him tight to her chest.
"Joker, my time is short. I am destined to die on this day but I will choose how I go out. I have a gift for you," he said to summon a small ring in Joker's hand.
"What is this?" he asked looking confused.
"This is a very powerful artifact called a Unifier. It turns the bonds you have into living weapons. You take their power as your own. I have in faith, you guys. Please take care of Ann for me," Morgana said.
"I will," Joker said as Morgana felt lifeless in Ann for she begins to cry.
"Morgana no, I can't believe he is gone," Ann wept for him.
"Yeah, we have to do this. For him," Joker said as Panther nods her head.
"You are so right, we have to see this through Ren," she said for Ren wipes her tears from her silky snow-white face.
"I know," Joker said as the ground violently burst open to reveal Gwen back onto his feet.
"Your friend had to die. He is the symbol of human freedom and with his death, humans will fall in line with our plans," Gwen said as Ann gives him an intense stare to point her sword whip at him.
"You want to enslave us do you?" she demanded.
"Oh no, we are here to save you from yourselves," Gwen said.
"Save us from ourselves?" Ann asked to be puzzled by this.
"Yes, throughout human history. Mankind goes further down the edge to self-destruction and with the birth atom bomb and other WMDs. It's not a matter of if but a matter of when you will kill yourself. My masters, the Angels, will offer salvation to the humans in our empire that spans several dimensions," he said.
"Angels, empire," Ann said as they see fast-moving in the sky.
"Gravity Kick," a swift shadow strikes the head of the Android to send him flying through several trees to crash into the dirt leaving a huge crater. "Sup," Mei said with a thick Chinese accent with her blond curls dancing against the wind and her bright brown eyes shining against the warm glow of the horizon.
"Miss Fong," Joker said for she tosses a small purple stone at him.
"Jam it into your hand," she said as Joker places it into hand to see it mold into the skin for he feels a surge of power within his very being. Ann looks on very worried.
"Are you okay Joker?" she asked with concern on her face.
"Yes, yes I am," Joker feels the demonic energy flowing within his body for a purple aura is covering him and his Persona.
"Is he going to be okay Miss Fong?" she asked.
"Yes, demonic energy isn't bad by default like angels are not good by default either," Mei said.
"Oh, good point," Ann said as they sense Gwen is coming back. "What do we do about this guy?" she asked.
"Hey guys, he is coming here," Futuba said on the radio but her Persona got shot down for her to fall from the sky.
Joker rushes in to grab her in bridal style to see the little teenage girl is safe within his arms. "Hey, you okay Fu?" he asked using her nickname he gave her. This tender tone of voice made her warm in the face.
"Yes, I am, thanks for the save," Futuba said to let her stand on her feet.
"Go check on the others," Joker said with Futuba wiping tears from her face.
"Okay, kick that guy's ass for Morgana's sake," she said to run off awkwardly to the others.
"Well, we need to fight. Joker, use your Unifier to have Ann merge with you and gain her powers," Mei said as the lovers stare into each other's eyes to nod their heads.
"Ready to kick this guy's ass?" he asked.
"With pleasure baby, set me up," Ann said.
"For Morgana's sake," he said.
"For Morgana's sake," Ann said as she becomes a ball of light to merge into Joker for his thief clothing's color scheme went to cherry red and dark pink with his mask looking cat-like.
"Cool," Joker's knife became a sword whip that becomes a normal double-edged sword.
"Neat, let's get this started," Mei said as the two confront Gwen for they dodge incoming blast of energy. "Gravity Well," she entraps the android within a purple dome of gravity energy holding down due to the massive amount of weight put on him.
Joker uses his sword whip to leash our several energy lines around the android letting them explode giving a good amount of damage. "Flare Tornado," Joker conjures a powerful twister of flames to slam into the android ensnaring him in it.
"Take it," she tosses gravity orbs to hit his limbs make them too heavy and pin him to the dirt. H is taking the full force of the fiery tornado burning sections of his skin and armor. Then the twister disburses to see Gwen's face is half exposed showing the machine within.
"Impossible, how did you get so strong so fast," Gwen said as he sees them trying to pepper him with gravity orbs and fireballs. He uses Telekinesis to freeze them in place and fling them right at them. They dodge the incoming projectile with Joker using his sward whip to stab into the ground.
"Rising Dragon Fangs," he summons pillars of fire to erupt from the ground. Gwen is rolling away from the spells with boiling fires cutting through the park. He summons a magical barrier to block the spell as Mei cloaks herself in a red aura to begin floating above the ground using her gravity powers to do this.
"Warp Kick," she speeds at Gwen to teleport into the barrier to be right under Gwen. She flashes a cheeky smile as she lands a powerful hit with her gravity infused kick which broke his armor. He deactivates his shield with joker leashing out to deliver more damage,
"Blade Storm," Joker is twisting the long blade-like whip to crave into the trees and grass. Sending lightning-fast slashes to tear up his armor and skin even more. "Homing Strike," Joker returns his whip into sword mode to toss it like a boomerang.
She teleports around the battlefield as she is shooting gravity orbs to slam into the limbs of Gwen to pin him to the glass floor. "Implode," the woman made the gravity orbs collapse inward to crush the limbs.
Joker's blade slice off the right arm and then swing back to sever the left arm to return to Joker's hand. Blood oozes out of the severed arm slots. "This is for Morgana, Blazing Hell," Joker uses Ann's best fire spell to engulf the android into a twisting inferno which superheated the area within it.
Joker snaps his fingers to set the spell unleashing a very strong blast that rocked the whole area. "Oh boy, that kicked so much ass. You got potential my boy," Mei said in a bright tone.
"I aim to please Miss Mei," Ren said.
"Using Ann's spells were impressive. You two are in sync," Mei said.
"You are damn right, Miss Mei. My baby was awesome," Ann's voice echoed within Ren's mind for he looked surprised by this.
"What is wrong?" Mei asked.
"Ann's voice is within my head," Ren said.
"Of course, I am here silly bear," Ann said in her usual cheerful voice.
"Oh, she is inside me," he said as this feels very awkward for he reverts to normal to see Ann right beside him.
"Well is it any different you are inside me?" Ann asked in a lewd way for this made Ren blush.
"That is different and more pleasant," Ren said as Mei shakes her in disbelief.
"Can you take your pillow talk somewhere else?" Mei asked to see Futuba gather the others for hey amazed by what happened.
"That was very impressive," Yusuke said.
"Indeed, Sensei and Ren were giving it their all," Haru said.
"Sensei huh? Well since your mentor Morgana got killed by that asshole. I will be looking out for you since I need your help anyway. Come on, let's go to my house. I will explain everything there," she said to lead the way for Ann noticed a weird small flower tattoo on her forehead which seems to be glowing.
"Well things can't get worst," Ann thought to disappear away from the park. A lone drone was there watching the whole battle to collect combat data on the Phantom Thieves.
"How interesting, this Joker is very capable and this girl Ann is quite impressive as well," Ad said.
"They seem to be more fun than the last batch of Persona users," Vee said.
"Well, Vee. I am becoming more interested in these humans. These Personas are the reflections of their very hearts and souls, another mystery for me to solve about Humans," the Ad said.
"Good luck with that Ad," Vee said.
"Well, we should pull back our forces and head for the deep underground base underneath the city of Tokyo. Let's watch their reactions, things are going to be interesting," Ad said as the two androids teleport out of there for the world is bracing for another attack by the unknown angel forces.
