Chapter 1: Summer Getaway
They'd already packed up, everything they'd need for their trip to their summer getaway, Pearl packed only the essentials as well as aloe vera, Garnet packed the practical things - the towels, the umbrella, a shovel and pail for Amethyst, her sunglasses, and some clothing, and Amethyst? She packed only the things she'd need for fun, then Peridot - much like Pearl, only packed the essential items as well as some books and of course her phone.
Amethyst insisted that they bring Steven and 'Lion' along, Lion was a short furred, big dog with an oddly heart-shaped nose, with light red/brown fur. Peridot of course refused that they bring the dog as it was bigger than small three foot seven Steven.
Yet somehow they ended up bringing Lion anyway, maybe it was the fact that Peridot couldn't resist Steven's pleas - or that it was Garnet who was driving and not her.
Speaking of those three here's a small tidbit about their appearances, Pearl is mostly Irish with immensely pale skin and Pastel peach/pink hair, a bit of a pointy nose, as well as an elegant and thin frame with turquoise eyes, standing a few inches taller than Steven at four foot eight - Amethyst nicknamed her 'Bird Mom' because Pearl acts as if she were Steven's mom.
Then there's Amethyst, she's about the same height as Steven if not an inch or two taller, with long, dyed pale lavender hair and strange dark blue eyes, with slightly light brown skin, she's a bit 'bigger' than Pearl when it comes to weight, Pearl thinks she is irresponsible.
Of course we can't forget Garnet, she has dark brown skin with a slightly dyed indigo/black afro, no one really sees her eyes, she's the tallest of the group standing at five foot seven and a half, she's like the 'square mom' of the group as Amethyst calls her, Garnet doesn't talk as much as Amethyst and certainly doesn't bicker like the other two.
Peridot is a short blonde with a weird triangular style of hair, a pale skin tone that is only slightly paler than Steven's own, she's the same height as Amethyst if only a few millimeters taller, with green eyes as well as a pair of glasses.
When they arrived at 'their' summer house by the beach Amethyst and Steven were ready to unpack, settle in, and have some fun - whereas Garnet unpacked then helped Pearl unpack before the two of them went down to the beach to play volleyball with Amethyst, Steven took Lion for a walk, and Peridot refused to go outside.
When the first day of summer ended most of the people at the beach had a bonfire - which Pearl forced Peridot to go to, Steven even brought Lion and showed him off to the other kids he had met that day - as they were toasting marshmallows and eating hotdogs Peridot looked toward the ocean, and she swore she saw someone sitting on a rock jutting out of the water, but in a blink whoever it was disappeared so Peridot thought nothing of it.
