Sakura opened her eyes.

She opened her eyes and immediately knew something was wrong, something was different. She could tell that her body was broken, that it felt like it had been put through the ringer, and not even Creation Rebirth Technique could repair her. She felt like the smallest of breaths were killing her. She could tell something was wrong by the unfamiliar surroundings; small bushes compared to the thick gigantic trees of her home, tall buildings made of stone, brick, and glass, but most of all-

Sakura could tell something was wrong from the air she breathed.

From the very second she was out of her mother's womb, she had been breathing in purified air from Nature Chakra. She had broken and twisted her body, training it in order to be able to proficiently pull it into her body, into her lungs. Sakura knew what home smelled like, as weird as that sounded, didn't even know that Konoha as a whole, the Five Nations even, had a smell until it was abruptly taken away.

What she was breathing in now was putrid, toxic, and polluted. It made her already overworked lungs work even harder to pull breath in. It burned something awful.

"Ma'am!"

Sakura felt alarm when she felt her eyes begin to close.

"Ma'am, are you alright?!"

She struggled to keep them open, knowing she was fighting a losing battle.

"I'm gonna get you some help okay? Just hang in there!"

Her eyes closed.
