Salutations, humans! I'm very glad to post my first work of fanfiction here. However, this is not my first fanfic ever. This one is a fluffy SB oneshot told in Young!Plankton's perspective. I'd like to point out the characters in this story are HUMANIZED. Also, in my SB Human!AU, the characters are significantly younger than in cannon, thus this oneshot takes place in the middle 80's- early 90's.
With that said, I hope you enjoy my story!
I do not own SpongeBob SquarePants, however I own this story.

Cold, life-like eyes.
Years ago
December 20th
7:16 am.
I've been coming here, to this empty classroom for a long time as for now. Not like they'd give a frick about it, but nobody knows about this yet, not even Eugene. Of course, he'll be the first to know about it. I bet he'll be delighted.
In my eleven years of life, this, she has been the largest project I've worked on. And even for an academically gifted dude, it's been not easy. I've done my biggest effort to not fail, as I usually do, not gonna lie. This is different. Developing artificial intelligence that was able to evolve and experience like a person would was believed a myth for everyone for everyone, one I've decided to break. I don't know why I wanted to start working on this, I just did, and I knew the idea wouldn't leave my head until I made it tangible.
For knowing almost nothing about the anatomically accurate female proportions, I think I did a good job. Ocean blue hair, tall and slender. Pale and soft synthetic skin. Silvery legs and arms, and steely blue leather outfit laid down still in front me. Finally, after months of work, she was ready... at least according to preliminary tests.
I took a deep breath. She had to be alive. I needed her to be alive. If I made an intelligent robot, I'd be able to prove everyone I'm not a failure... maybe myself too. I pushed some strands of my green locks behind my ear out of nervousness.
Calm down, Sheldon.
I turned her power on using the switch in the wall and some clicks in the computer keyboard, and held my breath. Only seconds after that, I heard several robotic beeps. Her lids slowly opened and she sat in front of me, letting me see those paradoxically cold and empty, but bright and life-like neon green eyes. I got scared as she just stared down at me without talking.
"...Hello?" I asked her, waiting for a response.
"Who are you?" She asked me as an answer to my addressing.
"I-uh, I created you-"
"Sheldon James Plankton.", she interrupted me. Of course she knew my name, it was in her initial, neatly coded databank. "Your hair, cut it. It's getting too long." , she added randomly with a puzzled look and took in her blue fingers some hair.
"Wait, what's wrong with my-"
After my brain ended processing what she just said and how, my eye sparkled and my grin grew so big I could feel it.
"...Welcome, K.A.R.E.N." I told her, my voice shaking in pure happiness.
Eugene was the only one who made me feel like this before, but she is special... I created her. I couldn't be prouder.
