The dream about war is like what in the game. Sorry, I'm just lazy for that part)
After that, everything went black. Then alot of images about a variety of locations flash through his mind. Then, he found himself in a room and he not alone. In front of him, there's a little girl with green hair sitting on a throne and sleeping. Look like she can feel that someone is staring at her so, she wake up. After a few yawn, she look at him curiously
"Oh my."
"What could've brought you here?" She ask
"..."
After 5 seconds of silent, she yawn again and ask
"I wonder how you got in here..."
"I have no ideas" He answers in a cold tone
Then she look serious, her voice like a little annoyed
"It is most rude to interrupt a moment of repose. Very rude indeed"
He agreed with that
"Now come to me, I wish to have a look at you"
He come near to the girl, but not too close (cause FBI already at the door). So she can have a look at him.
(Jeralt look like alway, but he younger and no scars. Still stern as f*ck :V )
"Hmmm... I have not seen the likes of you before. Who are you, anyway?" She ask
"I'm just a mortal"
"I see. Then you must have a name of sort. Go on"
"Jeralt"
"Wait,... your name is Geralt?" (When screach Jeralt on Google they give me this name. He is a character in The Witcher and that all I know cause I never play that game before)
"No, Jeralt"
"Geralt?"
"No, Je-ralt. J-E-R-A-L-T. Jeralt"
"Okay okay, Jeralt. Don't be angry... Huh, i shall not ever grow accustomed to the sound of human names"
"..."
"You must possess a day of birth as well. Beneath which moon and on what day were you born to this world?" She seems a little interested at him. Bad news ( FBI! Open the door!)
"Beneath Guardian Moon and on the 8th day"(I made it)
She seems a little surprised and then
"Well, wonders never cease! It seem we share our day of birth. How strange!"
"..." No response.
"Hmm... It all feels so... familiar. I think it may be time for yet another nap..."
"It is almost.. time to..begin..."
"..."
'She sleeping now. Better not wake her up'
Then everything went black again then
"Hey. Time to wake up"
He wake up. Getting out of bed and at the middle of the house is his father. Byleth
"Were you having that dream again?" His father ask as normal at every morning
"Yes, I was dreaming about a young girl" He as always answer with a cold voice
"You're described her to me before. I don't think I've ever met someone like that"
"But, if one day you find that girl. Tell me and I'll make you two marry each other. Ay?" He joke about that
"..." An awkward silence with a cold as ice face
"Okay, I was joking. Sometime I asked myself that why you didn't have anything like me"
"But. In any case, just put that out of your mind for now. The battlefield is no place for idle thoughts. Risking your life is a part of the job for mercenaries like us. Letting your mind wander is one of many ways to get yourself killed.
"..." still silent but he nod
"Okay, time to get moving. Our next is in the Kingdom. I told you before. It's far from here so go get ready quick. We need to leave at dawn. Oh, and go get me some snacks. We could enjoy it on the way."
"Of course"
"Hm? Good grief. Hurry up, everyone is waiting us outside"
Then, suddenly a mercenary go in
"Byleth! Sir! Sorry for interrupting, but your presence is needed outside"
"What's happened?"
"Please come outside"
"Huh? Well, guess we have a side quest to do" Then they all go out
Outside, there are two guys and one girl. They all under his(Jeralt) ages. One guy has blonde hair. The other guy has black hair. And the girl has white long hair. Then they both come to him and his father, the guy with blonde hair say first.
"Please forgive our intrusion. We wouldn't bother you if the situation not dire"
"What do a bunch of kids like you doing at this hour?"Byleth asked
"We're being pursued by a group of bandits. I can only hope that you will be so kind to lend your support"
"Wait. Bandits? Here?"
Then the girl turn to say
"It's true. They attack us while we were rest at our camp"
And last, the black hair guy turn to say
"We've been separated from our compassion and we're outnumbered. They're after our lives... not to mention our gold"
"I'm impressed by how you're staying so calm after the situation. Wait, that uniform..."
Before the awkward silence can take place. A mercenary come to report.
"Sir! Bandits are spotted outside the village! Damn... there are a lot of them"
"I guess they followed you all the way here. We can't abandon this village now"
"All right, let move. I'm hope you're ready"
Then they all move
Outside of the village:
"Let's take care of those thieves before they can outrun this village" Byleth said
In his sight, he can see there are 7 of them. 1 is scouting at the village gate. 3 of them is at the sentry tower. And the last three is inside the forest, the oldest one is shouting the other two
'So one of them is the leader. Then it must be that oldest one over there' He talk to himself
Then the "bunch of kids" come next to him.
"Thank you. We are in your debt. It wouldn't do for us to fall in a place like this. Please, lend us your strength. Let's work together to drive out those thieves" said the blonde guy(Dimitry)
"..."
"It's because of you guys that I'm not dead right now. Thanks for that! I didn't expect to run into mercenaries like you in some remote village. The gods of fortune must be smiling on me!" said the other guy(Claude)
"..."
"You have a strange aura about you... You say you're a mercenary, so show me what you can do" said the girl (Edelgard)
"*sigh*No need to thank me. Said that to my old man."
"You seem like one of my friends. He also a untalkative person" The blonde guy
"Because I've nothing to say. But now, focus on the battle" He answers in a cold tone
He run to the scout. He also see him so he turn into defend. Right behind him is Dimitry and Edelgard. Then an arrow flying towards the scout catch him off guard.
"Your guard down!" He shouting make the scout immediately turn back to him right when his sword slash. The scout sword drop to the ground next to the body of a dead man
"That is that" He said then running to the other three at the sentry tower. Edelgard and Dimitry were fighting with the bandits and Claude is shooting arrow to support them. They quickly defeat them all and didn't have any serious injuries.
Inside the forest, the leader of the bandits(Krotas) seem really surprise cause this goddamn village has mercenaries.
"Damn. Why are there mercenaries in this village?Guess we'll have to deal with them too"
The bandits quickly run to sentry tower and split out and Krotas running to Jeralt and attack with his axe.
"You!!! With the blank stares. Out of my way!!"
He quickly blocks it but Krotas is faster this time, he swing his axe toward Jeralt chest. He jumped back but a bit late so the ax meet his skin, cut through his leathers armors, but not enough to deal some critical damage
"Dang it"
"Kid!!"
"I'm fine. No need to worry. And I'm not a little kid anymore"
Jeralt quickly strikes back. He slash his sword at the armor then the axe,it make Krotas axe fly out of his hand.
"What?!! You damn mercenaries" Krotas curses
"Shut up!!" Jeralt slap the sword hilt at the stomach when Krotas crouched down he gave him a kick right in the face send him fly back at the bandits group
"Damn you" Krotas stand up and took an axe from a bandit running to Edelgard. Edelgard is tired after the battle with the bandits so she's didn't have enough time to block or avoid it
"You'll die!!!"
"H-huh?" In that moment. Edelgard feel a strong arm grab her and pull her into a person chest. When she look up, it's Jeralt in front of her. Krotas swing his axe.
When the axe nearly meet his flesh, the time stop. Everything froze, his dad, the bandits,the "bunch of kids", Everything. Then he see himself in that room with that little girl still at the throne and she look really angry.
"Honestly! What are your accomplishing with that little stunt?!It's like you're trying to get me kill, you fool!!"
"*sigh* Well, it's fine. After all,if you don't know the value of your own life, you're not going to protect it well, are you? Course not"
"*giggle* Well then, I guess it up to me to guide you from now on,right? Oh, you can call Sothis and I'm also known as 'the Beginning'"
"Wait, that look on your face. Do you see like a child? Hey!! This child just save your life. Back to the point, you threw yourself before an axe just to save one young girl. Yet all is well, I have stall the flows of time. You would have died if I not intervened"
(Sorry but this part I will skip it)
When the time flow back he see Krotas is running to Edelgard. He quickly stands in front of her with his sword in riposte. Krotas swing his axe
"You'll die!!!"
The sound of mental weapons touch each other came up then Krotas flying back a distance with his axe in hand. Seeing they leader got defeated make all the bandits run away
"Hey, over here" they hear Claude voice from behind with Dimitry and Byleth after him
"Hey, did you ju-" Byleth was stop by a familiar voice
"The Knight of Seros are, we make you pay for terrorizing our students. They're running away m. Going after them."
Then a man come to them
"The students seem to be unharm. And who is this?"
"Ugh,why him?" Byleth groans
