Day 1
I left the safety of my village today, to venture into the unknown beyond the portal used by the chosen one. The most notable sensation would be the heat. Easily as hot as diamond level mineshafts. The heat can be attributed to the amount of molten lava that seems to act as a lake.
There is no sky, and the only natural light comes from the crystals scattered throughout the area, as well as the glow from the magma.
When I attempted to take a drink from my gourd, the water was already lukewarm. I was sweating profusely, and took shelter in a cave formation, safe from the scalding heat. Even in the cave, the light is nearly blinding, and it's still hot enough to be compared to a jungle. My compass won't direct me towards my entryway, as it simply dances around uselessly. Similarly my clock is performing an intriguing dance like action, with the hands spinning rapidly and randomly.
I'm concluding my entry for today, and shall retire to the land of slumber. I don't expect to survive, and I simply act in the interest of science.
