chapter 1
A husband and wife name Cole and Pam were very much in love her husband was an obstetrician and Pam was a veterinarian. They were young and happy. They were unaware what was going to happen to them on one vacation that would take them to their new home in another world. They were spelunking in a cave when they touched writing on the wall. Then they were transported to another dimension.
"Where are we?" Pam asked.
"Are you alright love?" Cole asked.
"Yes I am fine," Pam said.
"I'm glad," Cole said.
Then they looked at their reflection in a nearby lake. "Like we are lions, but not like the ones back home," Cole said.
"Not just any lions white lions," Pam said.
They discover that they were not wearing any clothes so they found some old sails and made makeshift clothes. They made it to a city.
"Welcome to Thundera," a guard said.
"Thank you," Cole said.
Cole and Pam were looking around Thundera. "Hello lady," a man said coming up to Pam. "How about you come with me," he said grabbing her arm.
"Hey hands off my wife!" Cole said.
"She's not your wife she's too lovely," the man said.
"He is my husband," Pam said.
"What happened arranged marriage?" the man asked.
"No, love," Cole said.
"Come on dump him and be with real cat like me," the man said.
"No," Pam said.
"Excuse me no one talks to me that way," the man said pushing Pam down.
"Hey don't do that," Cole said then he grabbed roughly.
"Stop it," Pam said.
"What is going on over here?" a loud booming voice asked.
The man turned and saw a large lion and a lioness. "Nothing Sire," the man said dropping Cole and Pam went to him.
"You're a liar," Pam said.
"What do you mean he's lying?" the lion asked.
"He was harassing us," Pam said.
"He wanted my wife here to dump me for him." Cole said.
"But she should be with me," the cat said.
"Arrest him," the lion said. The guards grabbed the man and took him off.
"Thank you," Pam said.
"Forgive us for not introducing ourselves, I am Cole and this is my wife Pam," Cole said.
"Nice to meet you both," the lioness said. "I am Leona," she said.
"I am Claudus," Claudus said.
"This is our adopted son Tygra, we found him a few months ago passed out in the river that went through our garden and he has been with us ever since," Leona said.
"That's great," Cole said.
Claudus welcomed Cole and Pam to Thundera and house was being made for them. "So what do you do for a living?" Claudus asked Cole.
"Oh I am doctor who specializes in the care of expectant mothers, I make sure they are having a healthy pregnancy and that their baby is born happy and healthy." Cole said.
"I see," Claudus said.
"I am doctor for peoples pets and livestock, after all they get hurt and sick too and they need looking after, but it's tricky because they can't talk and tell you they are feeling bad." Pam said.
A few weeks later Leona really wasn't feeling well. Claudus brushed her hair back with his hand. "Don't worry Leona the doctor will be hear soon," Claudus said.
Cole heard Leona was sick and came over. "I heard Leona was sick." Cole said. He saw her she wasn't feeling well. "Mind if I take a look I just want to make sure I can help," he said.
"Okay," Leona said.
"Okay Leona tell what's wrong," Cole said.
"I get headaches, I am bloated, I am nauseous, I am tired, I am moody, and my breasts are sore." Leona said.
"Hmm," Cole said and finished his exam. "Congratulations Leona you're pregnant," he said.
"Pregnant?" Leona asked.
"Are you sure?" Claudus asked.
"Yes she has all the symptoms and I say she is about three months." Cole said.
"We're going to have a baby it's so wonderful," Claudius said kissing her.
"It is," Leona said.
"I think soon you should tell little Tygra the big news, after all he is your adopted son," Cole said.
"We will," Leona said.
Cole watched Leona through her pregnancy to make sure the queen was going to stay healthy and have a healthy baby. A short time after Pam had become pregnant herself. Her baby was going to be born at least 3 month after Leona's own baby.
Tonight Leona was in labor. Cole was helping and noticed complications arising and took over from the midwives because he knew how serious it could be he stop each complication and then a baby boy was born. Cole handed the cub to a midwife while he checked to make sure Leona was fine. "Okay Leona you're okay, no tears and no bleeding." Cole said. He was so relieved.
"Why did you have to take over like that?" a midwife asked.
"Because if I didn't the complications could've been the death of Leona or the baby or both of them," Cole said.
"Oh," the midwives said.
"Lion-o," Leona said holding her baby.
"Lion-o, my son," Claudus said.
Then three months later Pam went into labor herself. Pam gave birth to a health baby girl. "Welcome to the world Liosia," Pam said she was looking at Thunderian girl lion names and she liked that one the best.
Soon Lion-o and Liosia would meet.
