35 BBY- Kashyyyk

Kento and Mallie stared down at their one-year-old son Galen, who was sound asleep. The two were former Jedi who had left the order after falling in love. A few years after marrying in secret they had a son. Kento reached down and caressed his son's cheek then looked over at his loving wife who smiled at him. He leaned over to kiss his wife but stopped short when he sensed something. He saw his wife senses it as well, a look of panic came over her.

"Take Galen and hide" he said quietly then turned and started making his way towards the door of their hut. He reached out and used the force to pull his lightsaber to him. He neared the door but stopped then turned to watch as his wife picked up their son then ran out of the room. He turned back around only to be shoved back by an invisible force. He hit the ground hard, looked up just in time to see a hooded figure wearing a dark cloak step inside the hut. The figure reached inside his cloak then pulled out a long slender object, the figure pushed a button on the object and a red blade appeared.

Kento jumped to his feet and quickly activated his own blue lightsaber. He brought his blade up then down at the intruder, but the mysterious figure quickly deflected with his own lightsaber. Kento attacked again bringing his lightsaber up and swung it again at the intruder who quickly blocked the attack with his saber. Kento leaned into the attack hoping to push the intruder back, as he did this he tried to get a good look at the person who dared enter his family's home but all that he saw was two yellow and red eyes peering back at him.

"You're not welcome here Sith scum" Kento growled.

The intruder ignored Kento as he quickly broke the stalemate then kicked Kento in the chest sending the former Jedi Knight stumbling backwards. The intruder lifted his hand up then using the force pulled Kento towards him, he quickly lifted his blade up and stabbed Kento through the stomach. He removed his blade then allowed Kento's lifeless body to drop to the ground.

"NO!"

The hooded figure turned his head to see that Mallie had come back. Anger replaced the shocked look on her face as she looked at the person who had killed her husband. Mallie raised her hand and used the force to pull her husband's lightsaber to her. The hooded figure reached up and pulled his cloak off to reveal his true self. Mallie recognized the intruder as a Zabrak from the planet Dathomir. The Zabrak shot forward bringing his saber up then down upon Mallie who quickly activated Kento's lightsaber then used it to block the attack. She pushed the Zabrak back with the force then she rushed forward with her husband's lightsaber raised in the air. The Zabrak gritted his teeth then quickly ignited the other side of his lightsaber. He deflected the attack then spun around and stabbed Mallie through the stomach as well as he stepped forward.

The Zabrak turned and watched as Mallie fell to her knees. The Zabrak smiled as he deactivated his lightsaber then picked up his cloak and pulled it on. He looked around as he sensed something nearby but before he could step further into the hut he sensed something entering the atmosphere of the planet, so he quickly turned on his heels and made his way out of the hut.

A few hours after the Zabrak had left the hut, someone entered the hut. The person who arrived was a dark-skinned male wearing a light brown tunic. He rushed over to where Kento and Mallie laid and checked for pulses but lowered his head when he sensed nothing telling him the worse. Suddenly his head shot up when he heard the sound of crying. He got up then stepped around Mallie and made his way over to the next room but stopped when he no longer heard crying. The man looked around then turned to leave only to stop when the crying started up again. The man entered the room and went straight to the wall farthest from the doorway. He reached his hand up and placed it against the wall. He closed his eyes then pushed hard as the false wall gave away. He stepped back. The man looked down to see baby Galen lying in a bed.

"A son" the man said in disbelief, he reached down and picked Galen up.

He could sense the boy's connection to the force.

"I may have failed your parents but I will not fail you" the man said then carried the boy out of the room past his parents dead bodies and out of the hut.
