Chapter 1: The Transfer Student

"3 months..." She said, looking at the buildings pass by from the window of the car.

It had been 3 months since the well had closed, 3 months since she said goodbye to her beloved friends, and 3 months since she and her defeated her greatest foe. Since returning home her world had been turned upside down. Everyday people now had amazing abilities called quirks. Most people follow the path of light and use their abilities for good, but others follow the path of darkness and use them for bad. The world was such a different place now and adjusting was taking a lot out of her.

"What was that Kagome?" A male voice said.

"Oops sorry Shippō! I was spacing out and didn't realize I said something." Kagome said.

"It's alright Kagome, how are you feeling today?" Shippō asked.

"I'm feeling alright, just a minor headache this morning. I think it's just nerves and overthinking." She said rubbing her temple.

"No reason to be nervous Kagome. Everything will be just fine." He said taking her hand in his. She smiled and returned the jester.

"I know Shippō, I'm just a little nervous about transferring so late into the year. Do you think people will be suspicious of me?" Kagome asked.

"Don't worry Kagome, Sesshomaru has taken care of everything. No one will be aware of your mission." Shippō said with a serious tone.

"I'm still nervous about it though. It's not normal for a student to be a fully licensed hero." Kagome said.

"Well that's why you have to keep it a secret." Shippō said with a laugh. "Sesshomaru has a lot of connections, everything will be fine."

"Thank you Shippō, I do feel a little better now!" Kagome said with a smile.

"Do you want me to brief you on your mission before we arrive?" Shippō asked.

"No, I understand my mission. Identify All Might's successor and purify his quirk when the moment is right." Kagome answered.

"Good." Shippō said. "The sooner your mission is complete, the sooner you get to hang out with me!" He said pulling her into a big hug.

"That's true!" Kagome said with a laugh. "Though I would like to graduate from high school before I start hero-ing full time!" She said.

"You'll have to talk to Sesshomaru about that. I know he wants you back to work as soon as you complete the mission." Shippō said.

"I guess I'll have to convince him some how!" Kagome with with a inquisitive look.

"I'm sure you'll find a way. He does have a soft spot when it comes to you." Shippō said.

"Look Shippō I can see the front gate! Wow U.A. the campus looks so much bigger in person!" Kagome said.

"Well Kagome, are you ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be!" Kagome said.

The pair exited the car heading toward U.A.'s front doors. As they walked though the hallways students couldn't help but stair at the pro hero and mysterious girl by his side. Kagome was starting to feel a little self-conscious, but knew it was just the students curiosity about who she was. They walked into the office and were greeted by the principle. They both took a seat and Shippō started to fill out her paper work.

Principle Nezu was surprised by Kagome's lack of reaction to his appearance. Most students were surprised when they first saw him, but she simply smiled and bowed politely. He could not deny, he was even more curious about his transfer student. She was recommended by the Taisho Agency and her guardian was none other than the Fox Fire Hero. He was very interested in learning what kind of quirk she possessed and how she gained ties with the Taisho family.

"Higurashi-san are you excited about your first day at U.A.?" Principle Nezu said.

"I'm a little nervous about transferring later in the year, but I am excited." Kagome said.

"I'm sure you'll fit in just fine! You'll be in class 1-A of the hero course, a fine group of students!" He said with a large smile.

"Thank you Mr. Principle, that makes me feel a lot better!" Kagome said.

"Not a problem Higurashi-san." Principal Nezu said only to be interrupted by the sound of a knock at the door.

"Well it looks like your teacher is here to escort you!"

The door opened revealing a tired looking man wearing all black. Kagome imdediately recognize him from Sesshomaru's briefing. He was the hero know as Eraserhead with a very interesting quirk. Not many people had the ability to erase quirks, even if it is just temporary. Kagome quickly stood to her feet and bowed with respect.

"Hello, my name is Higurashi Kagome. I look forward to being your student." She said.

"Hello, I'm Shouta Aizawa your teacher. Follow me to our class room." Aizawa said and turned walking out the door.

"Shippō, will you be picking me up after school?" Kagome asked.

"I have hero work today so I can't, but a car will arrive to pick you up after school.

"Thank you Shippō, I'll see you later!" Kagome said giving Shippō a quick hug before following after her teacher.

"Have a great first day! I'll see you after my work is finished." Shippō said with a wave, then got back to the paperwork.

Kagome followed her teacher in silence. He didn't talk much and honestly seemed kind of annoyed to her. She tried not to focus on it, instead looking at her new schools surroundings. She had anazlyed the schools layout many times with the maps provided to her, but seeing it in person was always different. She was deep in though and didn't realize they had made it to the classroom until she bumped into her sensei's back.

"I'm very sorry Aizawa Sensei, I was not paying attention!" Kagome said with a low bow.

"Are you nervous kid?" Aizawa said.

"A little sir." Kagome said.

"Don't be, U.A. does not accept transfers. That fact that you were shows a lot of promise in your abilities." He said looking at the door. "Stay here, I will call you in soon."

"Thank you Aizawa sensei." Kagome said with a bright smile.

Aizawa returned a much smaller smile and walked into the class room. His students were were socializing, but quickly moved to there desks when he walked in. He made his way to the podium and quickly questioned by the class representative.

"Aizawa sensei, there is a extra desk in the class room today! Would you like to remove it from the class room?" Iida said standing from his desk.

"That won't be necessary, in fact we have a transfer student joining our class today." Aizawa said.

Confused looks circulated the class room and small conversations started. Aizawa expected this, U.A. excepting a transfer student was very rare. He silenced the class with one look, then motioned to the door.

"You may come in now." Aizawa said opening the door.

As Kagome stepped into the classroom she instantly felt the eyes of her fellow classmates. Looks were filled with curiosity, but behind that a welcoming warmth. She smiled, instantly woo-ing many of the boys in the classroom.

'One of these students could be the successor, I'll have to study their quirks carefully.' Kagome thought to herself before introducing herself.

"Hello! My name is Higurashi Kagome, I look forward to being your classmate!" She said.
