I jumped from building to building as they crumbled. At last, I could over see the battle between the Masters of Spinjitzu and the Shadow Army. The shadows easily outnumbered the ninja, but the ninja had elemental powers. The shadows were reduced to shards once an element hit them. The leader, Shade, roared something in a foreign language, and the shadows retreated. Kai, the Ninja of Fire, lowered his hood. "So, what now?" he asked the others.

"Let's go back to the monastery," Lloyd replied. "Sensei Wu and Misako are waiting for us."

"Good idea," said Nya as she summoned her elemental dragon. Soon, they were all flying away on their respective elemental dragons. I closed my eyes and faded into the shadows. When I opened them, I as in a dark corner in the monastery. Sensei Wu and Misako sat in the middle of the floor. Soon the door opened, and in came Zane, Jay, Cole, Nya, Lloyd, and Kai.

"Hello, sensei," Zane said. "Hello, Misako."

"Hello," Misako said as she smiled.

"Hey, mom," Lloyd said as he hugged Misako. Zane looked behind him, as if someone was there. He shrugged and turned back to the others.

Dang it! I thought. He senses me! I took one last look at the group, and faded into shadows.

Zane's POV

I looked behind me. I have this feeling that someone-or something-was watching us. I saw nothing. I shrugged and turned back to the others. "Did the Shadow Army do well?" Wu asked us.

"Meh. They could've done better," Cole grunted.

"Yeah. They were really easy to defeat," Kai agreed.

"Are you letting your guard down?" Wu asked as he sipped his tea. "No matter how easy the enemy is to defeat, you must always keep your guard up."

"Yes, sensei," everyone muttered.

"It is getting late," I said. "Perhaps I should start making dinner."

"That would be wonderful, Zane," Misako nodded as everyone cheered. I walked into the kitchen and starting making dinner. I was in the middle of cutting some vegetables when all of my senses told me something was wrong. I looked behind me. Nothing. I warily turned back to cutting the carrots. I brought out the food and everyone served themselves. Being a nindroid, I didn't need food and went back to our sleeping quarters. I sat on my bed, wondering. I felt like something was watching us, but nothing was there. Something moved from a corner, and I turned towards the sound. A young person about our age froze on the spot. They wore a long, jade green cloak that covered most of their body. A mask and hat similar to Sensei Wu's covered their face.

"Who are you?" I asked as I stood up. They muttered something rapidly that sounded like Dang it. They looked up.

"You did not need to know," they said in a voice that sounded like Ronin.

"You are not Ronin," I said as I gripped my shurikens.

"Got that right," they replied, mimicking Darreth.

"Darreth isn't stealthy enough to be you."

"You're good." They sounded like Skylor.

"Skylor's too busy to be here."

"Hey. It's not like you're hiding nothing," they said in a robotic voice.

"Zane? What's going on?" Jay asked as he entered. "Who is that?"

"That is what I am trying to figure out," I said as I grit my teeth.

"He's good, but not good enough," they laughed as they merged into the shadows.

"Okay. What just happened?" Jay demanded.

"I think-" I said. "I think they've been watching."

"What do you mean, 'watching'?"

"They've been watching us."

Sorry about the cliff hanger. I need to keep you captivated some how.

Jay: Can we go now?

Me:(Huffily) Fine. If you insist.
