Kyo Akane

When it came to Kyo Akane, there wasn't much to say about his and Emma's relationship over the past few years. The two had been very good friends when they were four and five years old, but both had done a substantial amount of growing since that time. To meet him again at thirteen years old was quite the testament to that very statement.

The boy had grown to the point where Emma's head only just reached his shoulders, and he had been enrolled in martial arts classes as well as a few on self defence in it's own right. He still wasn't overly built, but Emma wouldn't say he was that little kid she used to play house with either. It might have helped her case that he was in no real rush to get married to her, as she didn't particularly want to get married to him any time soon.

Some things never changed though.

Emma and Kyo were able to catch up within eight minutes of being out of their overbearing parents earshot. One year of friendship stronger than steel wasn't going to end anytime soon, it seemed, not that it had ever been hard to loosen up around the mischief making boy. He was only two months older than the girl, but both had minds that were quicker than a bullet train, and they were highly under rated by their elders and peers.

Most of the time, they were on the same page without needing to communicate it at all, just a shared smirk, a sly grin that meant more to them than their parents ever caught onto. Kyo had been Emma's first real male friend outside of her family, and even Karl had been on their side when it came down to pulling off a three person scheme. Her cousin had been been more than happy to help them out, overjoyed that there was another hier that wasn't full of themselves like Emma's parents seemed to be.

Now Emma wasn't opposed to the idea of hanging out with Kyo again, she had no qualms with the boy that had made her younger years so enjoyable, but the idea of an arranged marriage was still eating at her. Kyo agreed, with both sentiments, but stated that if he had to marry someone, he was happy it was her and not a complete stranger. Emma could understand that.

Once they were agreed, the two needed to work on a plan, which was what they would use a portion of their time for. It was always this way, talk until you're left alone, catch up quick, plan your attack. They had this routine down to a literal science, something that wasn't hard considering their connections. Emberlyn and Kyo had once shook the world of the rich and the heirs and heiresses, it was the reason they were seperated in the first place. Perhaps their parents thought that their older age would lead them to making better decisions.

They were wrong, of course, because Kyo and Emma prided themselves on being the most unpredictable. Which is what made this plan so brilliant.

It was no secret that Kyos father was exceptionally powerful, but the man was also quite a bit more impressed with their antics than her own family. She and Kyo had often gone to his mother for advice though. Since her death however, suffice to say that there had been no pranks played in the months following the incident that had caused her death.

As well as a deeply rooted fear of cars and driving.

Anyways, the point was that the two were litteral legends, and had pulled quite a number of well meaning but highly effective missions in their younger years. Missions that allowed for them to not only understand their targets in a way that caused many to shiver when they pretended to read their past, but also to know how reactions would be, and the best course of action to truly give a job that certain flare. A very interesting talent at parties.

Their plan this time… well this was going to take some time.

First was coding in other people, Kyo needed to re-meet Karl and be introduced to Cat.

Second was securing their power in the social network that had become of the younger generation of the pillars and higher tiers.

Third was to solidify their friendships in a stronger and more protected shield, one that wouldn't crack with time. They needed to find a way of communication that wouldn't fail with time, and one that they could all use without one of their parents trying to tap into the lines.

For stage three, they needed stage two.

Stage one was actually the only flexible one, but everything after stage three could be moved if the plan called for it.

The rest was simply a matter of shaking their social circles again and moving ahead with a plan the children had made years ago anyways.

They were going to build a new company on their own. It was time to build up their army and start up the latest project, one that she liked to call Mission United. Unite all the high tier families children, minus a few less than friendly additions, and create a united front that they would use to make their own fortunes separate from their parents. They needed someone else to be a front-leader, a sort of figurehead for the company given that none of them were old enough to do anything like that yet.

That's where Emma's family came in.

They needed multiple people who would be able to handle the company until they were able to claim their rights, but would still let them run the company and manage everything.

Andy, Maine, and Lila would work in the spotlight while the talented children would work in the lesser known background.

Kyo was quick witted and a businessman to boot, crunching numbers in his head came as a second nature to the boy. Emma was creative, she knew exactly how to mess with someone's mind until they bought a product, and she knew exactly how to sweet talk if need be.

They were up and running within a month.

Which was good, because there was so much more they had to do to keep themselves from appearing anywhere and getting caught once they were set and rolling. It would get easier with time as they slipped into their routines.

Then it almost came tumbling down. Kyo had gotten caught on his way out while a burglar was in the front room. It had taken some quick thinking and a bit of Emma's talent of spinning a tale that was only slightly unbelievable that had gotten them both out of that one.

Bella almost blew it when she started growing Belladonna on the roof, which was another tale spun by Emma and delivered by Lila publicly. It was also used by children in the surrounding neighborhood so that they could have a place to learn about the business world. There were more children there after that, but children were easy to convince. It was a super secret mission to them.

Kyo had come up with that little tale by crunching the rising popularity of spies and the like in his head for a moment. The children had been ecstatic to help by keeping their secret. That was how she found out he was also very good with children.

He had a natural calming effect on them, but was also happy to turn their excitement to the more business oriented aspects of the building, telling them what each one was and how it helped their spy work. The workshop was coming up with new spy gadgets, the people in filing were collecting information on the people trying to bring down the company. Emma and the rest were all undercover spies, and we made sure the other side would never win.

She found she liked this tale the most.

Whenever a day was particularly long, the children would always be there wondering what sort of missions they had gone on that day. Sometimes they were undercover checking the records, sometimes they found a spy in the office and had to figure out a way to get them out without them becoming suspicious. The adults also loved the kids, and were always so happy to see them bursting in through the doors like an army to play around with them.

Everyone was allowed a break at that time.

And then, Emma couldn't help it if she felt herself not entirely hating the idea of marrying Kyo, even if it was an arranged marriage. Kyo would say the same.
