Legolas
He was careless and that had led to his capture. Wounded and trapped, the ellon was dragged along the edges of a frozen lake. Orcs communicated and growled amongst each other as they wondered the night lost and starved.
They were further north then they had anticipated, the game now running scarce. Before long they would turn on each other...or him to consume completely.
The elf hissed as the rope that tightly bound his wrists were yanked violently, forcing him to stumble forward as the small pack moved to survey the area.
" We rest here." The booming voice of the pack leader commanded as It pulled the ellon closer by the ropes.
" Do you remember, diukguukavaumn parar?" The alpha asked as it's filthy hand grabbed onto the elf's broken and bruised jaw.
Legolas tightened his lips and all but glared up at the creature with vivid blue eyes.
The brute alpha laughed in response before releasing the captive and shoving him onto the frozen ground.
"Savrip iav'uk fleukh from iav'uk boneuk."
Laughter and growls from the group sounded before they were on him. The first assault was a harsh kick to the ribs leaving him winded, other blows followed. He closed his eyes and shielded his body as best he could, he wouldn't make a sound.
A growl of displeasure sounded above him before one of the orcs grabbed the ropes binding his wrists. A resounding snap echoed into the distance, the ellon screamed into the ground, vivid blues wide in surprise and pain. The same orc who broke his arm pulled him up and away from the others, not that it mattered, for they followed.
The elf fought blindly before sharp teeth ripped into his neck. They were going to eat him, panic filled his mind as other hands pulled at him. Another pair of teeth sunk into his shoulder, he shook and tried to each out to his fëa. Legolas could leave, his spirit could escape his body.
" No! Lat liwo noav fade, filavh!"
The alpha roared. Then the hand was gripping his broken jaw, forcing his mouth open. Vile liquid was being forced into his mouth, the filthy hand covered his mouth. The ellon choked, swallowing some of the vile liquid unintentionally.
The orc removed It's hand as the ellon coughed and gagged.
" Lat ayh ouruk."
Icy panic settled deep into the ellon's stomach. He couldn't reach his fëa, it was too far, drifting away. He was trapped spiritually and physically. Bitter tears came and the orcs laughed in response. Teeth continue to bite at him as hands continued to tear at him. He was trapped completely.
.
.
.
Clouded blue eyes stared vacantly out over the frozen lake, the ellon lay stomach down in the snow as orcs ripped apart a deer they happened upon some time ago. The fire blazed around them and the night stretched on.
Bruised eyelids fluttered, the ellon letting out a pained grunt as he shifted his battered body away from the orcs. His blond head turned, scanning the orcs, who had their backs turned. He was thankful they were more interested in the meat then him. He rose to his bound hands and knees, biting back a groan of pain from putting pressure on his broken arm, he shifted into a slow crawl.
Time shifted and slowed from the adrenaline rushing through him as he put more distance in between the orcs and himself.
Roars and screeches sounded behind him, Legolas whimpered as he quickly moved onto his feet, the ellon fell into a limp run.
He gritted his teeth as a thunder of footfalls gave chase behind him. A cry of pain fell from his blue lips as an object slammed into the back of his right shoulder, The elf fell graceless against the snow. Eyesight blurred and nausea turned his stomach, the black arrow deeply embedded in his flesh.
Laughter started up as one of the orcs stepped on his lower back, holding him in place against the ground. The ellon clawed the snow as the arrow was ripped out of him. He sobbed out against the laughs and taunts as a finger dug into his bleeding wound. Pain lit into him and he screamed causing the orcs to turn frenzied.
A black hand gripped his blond hair, tearing at his scalp as he was lifted up onto his knees, a bite of sharp teeth to his pointed ear, He wailed, sobbing. Black spots entered the edges of his vision and he gagged as the orc let go. Legolas fell, his arms, still bound reached to catch him, pain raced up his body from his broken arm. The ellon hissed and with all the courage he had left within him, cursed them.
Not that it had mattered, black grins met his vivid blue eyes.
Rai
Silver eyes watched the torture with disgust. Orcs were such worthless creatures, they tainted everything they touched. Whatever left of her heart broke for the creature in their disgusting arms. An elf-kind. Rai had read about them but never gazed upon one.
Supposedly they were made of starlight, immortal and full of beauty and grace, sadly this one looked half dead. It looked to be male, with dull blond hair; blood covered from perhaps a head injury. His blue eyes were clouded from the agonizing pain he was subjected too.
The poor thing was littered with bruises and blood that hid wounds. His lips were blue and his skin ashen. He was dying slow.
Rai huffed with anger, baring her teeth at his cries and their laughter. It was his screams that called her across the valley and that was enough to save him. She had only wished she found him sooner.
The witch growled in distress and rage as those black hands ripped at his clothes. Those orcs were..!
Bones snapped as she shifted from dog to human, pushing away the exhaustion from the shift, dark speech left her tongue, the wind picking up. Rage filled her magick and snow fell. She balled it up inside and released it.
There were three. The biggest was no doubt the leader of the pack. Rai had to move fast before they...no...she couldn't even think it.
The snow storm came in swiftly. Silver eyes watched them release the elf and he dropped, limp against the ground. The witch grinned as they looked around with fear, her eyes dropped to the unmoving body against the snow.
Was the elf dead? She prayed she hadn't been to late. The witch went to shift, groaning from the pain as she fell on four legs, racing across the frozen lake and slamming into the smallest orc of the group. The others could be heard behind the sheets of falling ice. Her canine teeth found it's throat and she ripped into orc flesh. It gurgled as black blood filled her mouth. It was dead.
She couldn't stop, she found the other quick enough, it held a rugged sword, it's body turning around in a circle. Rai stood her ground as it faced her.
Silver met surprised black eyes, the orc raised it's weapon to charge but froze instead. It gripped it's heart and collapsed to it's knees. She grinned as best she could in dog form as it's heart stopped.
Magick was exhausting. She panted, her throat dry and itchy from dehydration. She would need save the rest for the leader. It was bigger and more of a threat. She moved around the area until her sight caught a bulky shadow in the distance. she raced toward it, stopping in horror. The biggest orc sat upon her elf, hands wrapped around his pale throat. The alpha's face was uplifted into a snarl and the elf was fighting but turning a horrible blue. The witch ran, leaping into the alpha's shoulders, her teeth digging into the back of his neck. If only, it were so easy.
The alpha roared, rising to it's feet and using it's body to throw her off, she rolled to the ground and turned on it, raising her hackles and baring her teeth. The gasping of her elf alerted her of his survival.
Rai stood on her hind legs, shifting back to her human appearance, the alpha snarling at her.
" Wiavch! avraiavor avo your kind!"
" Lat have nevas been mausan kind!"
She snarled before a dark spell left her tongue once more, the snow storm halting to silence. The brute ran at her, pulling a nasty little blade from it's side. The sky rumbled, and lightning struck, it's skin burned. It screamed and screeched as it melted and died. The scent of burning corpse made her scrunch her nose but still she smiled.
Silver eyes turned to look at her elf, He lay there, partly covered in snow. A sliver of cloudy blue watched her from his eyelids. She stiffened, before unsteady moving toward him. The witch collapsed, exhausted, and reached slowly toward him.
His eyes shot open and he flinched away from her touch.
" Baw, ceri- ú- touch nin!"
He moaned pitifully through his broken jaw. Rai tilted her head confused, She couldn't understand him. She reached for him again, releasing him from the rope. His wrists were bruised, his arm badly broken. The witch cooed as she lifted him gently by his shoulders and pulled him into her arms.
The elf remained tense as he collapsed against her, his breathing shallow and short. She could hear his heartbeat, it was like the sound of a terrified hare being hunted.
Rai petted him awkwardly, but gently on his fair head to let him understand she meant him no harm.
It did the opposite, he headbutted her. She hissed as she released her grip on the elf. He rolled away, mumbling perhaps cursing her.
Rai winced at his pained shout as he rolled onto his injured arm. She sighed and reached for the small black bag strapped to her side.
Digging for a moment, she pulled out a small vial, Uncorking it with her teeth, the witch poured the fine green powder into her open palm. She stood up slowly and inched close to the elf, who was curled up on his side. Rai grabbed his uninjured shoulder, flipping him onto his back quickly. She sat on him, hissing when he cried out and hurt himself further while trying to dislodge her from his person.
As gently as the witch ever could, she pressed her palm over his nose. Pity filled her as tears filled clouded eyes as he breathed in the drug. The elf's eyes rolled, his body giving one final shudder before going limp, his eyes open and unseeing.
She breathed deeply, before leaning down and pressing her ear to his chest. His heartbeat sounded and she breathed a sigh of relief.
What had she gotten herself into?
Legolas
Warmth
It was too warm. He was too warm. The ellon panted as he kicked the heavy fire off of him. Something cool touched his forehead, he leaned into it; sighing as a chill ran through his fevered body.
"...stop..oison...be...still.."
The voice called out, but he shifted away from the strange presence.
His eyes were open, but clouded, his nose picked up the scent of bitter herbs and sweet smelling flowers.
Something slipped under his neck and then the ellon was being lifted up, his head lolled against the cool object, his mouth was forcefully opened and thick, bitter water was flowing past his lips, the ellon choked.
Someone cursed before rubbing his throat, he swallowed on reflex and then groaned in disapproval. A dark chuckle sounded in response. Legolas felt himself rolled onto his side by the presence, his broken arm cradled gently by someone. " This...ill..hurt..."
He screamed into something soft that smelled of magic and pomegranates as an intense burning sensation started up from his shoulder. Needles scraped and dug into him. He flailed, his broken arm was released before a hand slammed into his side holding him down as they continued their assault, and once again the ellon knew nothing else.
Rai
The witch collapsed into an empty chair on front of the only table in her small cottage. Silver orbs studied the strange creature taking up her warm, inviting bed. The selfish part of her wanted to roll him onto the floor but she pushed that thought away, it was petty, cruel and would ruin all her hard work.
Rai had used what little healing magic she knew, healed most of the bruises from his skin. It took a great deal of effort and her remaining magick to fix his jaw. Exhaustion wasn't close to how she felt. She barely had any patience left for his broken arm and wounded shoulder, yet she still treated him by snapping the bone back into place, wrapping it tightly and treating his shoulder with bandages and herbal mixes. The wound on his shoulder was poisoned from the arrow. Rai had to do the unthinkable and claw the poison out of him.
She had dosed him with liquids for the pain and poisoning, the elf didn't take anything easily though. The witch cleaned as much blood and grime off of him with a wet rag and a warm bowl of water before untangling his hair and washing it with her best efforts. His clothes were ruined but Rai didn't dare remove them, not after what he had been through.
Her eyes watched as he groaned and kicked the covers off once more. She sighed and marched over to the elf to cover him back up then checking for a fever. She was surprised when she found it had went down tremendously but shrugged it off, less work for her.
The elf's skin wasn't as lifeless as he looked before, warmth had return to his flesh. His eyes remained open yet glazed over with sleep. She fell back into the uncomfortable chair and leaned her head back, closing her eyes in the process. The small cottage warm, fire crackling in the kitchen stove.
The sun was barely peaking through the window when she finally calmed, all the while hoping her guest wouldn't wake up first and stab her with the first sharp object he found.
Perhaps she'd keep him. Rai had never seen an elf until now and he was interesting enough. Unlike the boring and suspicious mortals in the area. She grinned in the dim morning light, she did save him, he owed her a blood debt. Silver orbs opened and turned to stare down the sleeping elf. He was hers now.
A/N: Someone needs to explain to Rai that she can't own someone. No baby. That's not how that works.

CHAPTER 2 PREVIEW
Legolas
The deep blue pool of water attracted the ellon, the liquid shimmered from the small green floating lights above his head, Legolas stood mesmerized. Vivid blue eyes took in the bath and small waterfall, fascinated with the beauty of the small stone room. Vines had crawled to the top of the ceiling along the water pipes, he felt joy to know they didn't suffer, they could live without the sunlight. Steam could be seen rising off of the dark water, it was warm. Legolas grinned with delight, thankful that his sight healed exceptionally well.
Unsurprisingly, it was no doubt fuelled by dark magick. Legolas grimaced at the thought.
Legolas pulled off his ruined tunic, his blond hair fell against his shoulder as he twisted around to pull down his leggings. The ellon froze as he locked eyes with glinting silver, he flushed with frustration and embarrassment.
" Turn your gaze away, witch." He threatened, standing to full height, She held up her hands in surrender, " Ah, you are embarrassed. It is alright, pet. I shall gaze upon you with the eyes of a diligent scholar and not with the eyes of a lustful maiden."
Legolas gawked at the strange woman before mentally shaking himself of of his astonishment. " I wish for neither of your eyes, witch. Turn away before I rip them out."
Rai chuckled before casually turning on her heel. " As you wish, love."
" I am not your love!" Legolas bellowed as he ripped off his leggings. He kept his sharp gaze on her back as he slipped in the water to make sure she didn't sneak a peak.
" Cin are i strangest adaneth im gar- oiale had i misfortune na tul- thar." The ellon mumbled to himself as he grabbed a bottle with his left hand, he uncorked it and sniffed.
" It's soap, Legolas."
Vivid eyes looked up at the witch to find she still had her back to him. He scolded before taking another whiff. Pomegranates. It smelled like her, and he hated it.
Sindarin ( Elven.)
Cin are i strangest adaneth im gar- oiale had i misfortune na tul- thar. ( You are the strangest woman I have ever had the misfortune to come across.)
