Growth Spurt
Just your regular Feudal era day with Inuyasha and her group as usual they had no leads on Naraku or the jewel shards. So with reservations from our resident half-demoness the group took a break.
The group where resting near the village Kagome was preparing food, Sango was tending kirara who was enjoying the attention. Miroku was out tending to some exorcisms for nearby villagers. Shippo was picking around the ground for things to turn into fox toys. Everyone were doing their own thing when a change in the wind stirred up. The humans didn't pay it any mind nor did kirara or Shippo. But Inuyasha she froze , becoming stiff and rigid. 'Oh god not again' was the thought that ran through her mind. Inuyasha glanced back at her friends once before running off not caring to hear their shouts. Inuyasha couldn't turn back now was not the time to be near anybody. Especially near a young demon and three humans no she had get away somewhere safe.
Meanwhile the rest of the grope were confused save for the cat demon who was simply cleaning herself. "Where did Inuyasha run off to all of a sudden?" Sango asked, somewhat concerned knowing the half-demoness could handle herself. "Perhaps she sensed a threat approaching and felt that she could handle it alone." The monk said as he walked back up to the group. "Miroku your back how are the villagers?" Kagome asked as she stirred a pot of stew "Everything went well Kagome though I am concerned with Inuyasha sudden departure." Miroku said as he sat next to Sango ``I wouldn't worry so much about her something probably ticked her off and she'll come back by the end of the night." Kagome said in her self-assured way. Oh wrong she was course by the time midnight came with no sight the half-demoness anywhere was when they truly became concerned.
With good reason for Inuyasha was not alright far from such a thing actually. For she was laid out in a cave with only soft moonlight radiating from the above hole. Within lay Inuyasha though not as her friends would recognize her. Fur covered her entire body her face twisted into that of a mix between herself and that of a dog. Her body increased in size as she had transitioned into this beast form. 'Damn it of all times for this to happen I right now." Inuyasha said as a wave of pain went through her. "Keh I hope those idiots stay put and don't come looking. I hate looking like this …. And am I talking to myself." She said rolling over to the side and garbing a deer leg. Unbeknownst to her was the reason for sudden transformation and the side effects it had. For some where far away the last person she wanted to be near her noticed a change. Sesshomaru stopped in his movement 'so it is time then.' Where his thought as he walked into a new direction Jaken and Rin's voices were lost to him.
Kagome and the others went out looking for their missing friend Sango, Miroku, and Shippo were all concerned. "I really don't think we should bother I mean it's Inuyasha she always comes back from these things." Shippo said as he rode on Miroku's shoulder in his normal fashion. Kagome however was not convinced "Well if she was going to be gone all night she should have said something." She said trudging along ahead of everyone "Kagome hold on we all should stick close together … huh" Sango said "My words exactly my dear Sango." Miroku said as he did what he did and as you would expect a 'SMACK' resounding through the forest. "Keep your hand to yourself monk." The demon slayer said. "Come on you guys Inuyasha got a whole day on us and we don't know how far she got. We need to make sure she is OK." Kagome said looking back to the group. "Wow kagome I always get surprised by how much you care about Inuyasha." Shippo said while kagome huffed "Of course I care if she hurts but if she doesn't I sit so far into the ground it'll take her a week to crawl out." The modern priestess said ignoring everyone exasperated looks. 'I am worried though Inuyasha looked kind of worried about something.' Kagome thought.
Needless to say Inuyasha was not doing ok she was that for two days now and her body didn't revert back yet. 'What is going on I should've changed back now, well at least the pains gone away huh?' Inuyasha thought as her hearing picked something up "Lady Inuyasha, lady Inuyasha are you in there." Myoga the flea said as he hopped up and down. Inuyasha sighed of course the flea would find her first. "What do you want Myoga?" she said in a voice so unlike hers deep a beastly so much so that the flea demon froze midjump. "Lady Inuyasha what has happen to you?" the flea asked. Inuyasha scoffed "This is nothing I just go through this every couple of decades." She said. "But Inuyasha your body is releasing a large amount of demonic energy I fear it will attract dangerous creatures." Myoga said but again Inuyasha huffed "I doubt it has happened before and no demon has come near me." Inuyasha said as laid back down on her many fur pelts. Myoga however was not to convinced that hi lady was safe however knowing how stubborn she was it was a waste of time.
It was a three day in before Inuyasha was truly bored out of her mind 'God damn it come on change back already.' Inuyasha thought to herself. She waited in silence and listened to serene sounds of the night. It was just a few moment before a snapping sound caught her attention one sniff and she knew 'Damn it not now' she said feeling weak and tired. She knew Myoga was right as her energy swirled around the area. "What the hell Sesshomaru what are you doing here?" she said. Sesshomaru did not say anything but he did walk into the cave which made Inuyasha jumped out of her fur. "What the hell do you think you're doing bastard!" Inuyasha said however Sesshomaru looked over Inuyasha new form. However it did make her very uncomfortable "What are you looking at jackass?" she said as her brother merely stared. He looked up and before saying "Shouldn't be much longer now." Sesshomaru said walking out of the cave "What the hell do you mean asshole?" Inuyasha said just as a powerful sensation hit her it was so powerful it became painful. Inuyasha screamed and her body started to spasm as it converted back into her more human form.
Just as it started kagome and the rest showed up to witness red demonic energy flee back into the screaming cave. "Inuyasha!" Kagome yelled running towards the cave however Sesshomaru merely stepped in her way. "You will stay yourself priestess." Said the demon lord as a cracking sound could be headed. Just the screaming turned into a pained howl and what sounded like crying. "Move out my way Sesshomaru." Said Kagome trying to walk around the demon but the crack of his whip stopped her. "Don't move." The demon lord said once again. The screaming died down as everyone looked at the cave entrance. "What is happening to her in there?" Miroku asked the silent demon lord. Shippo however was too busy covering his ears as he could hear the very cracking of bone from the cave itself. Everyone took notice when the screams faded away and all that power flooded into the cave. What came out was a sweat cover woman everyone could see it is was Inuyasha. However she was different her body seemed more mature curvy and taller. Her hair covered her face and her ragged breathing put many on alarm she however looked up. Her face appeared age somewhat to that of someone in their twenties "What the hell are you all looking at?" she said before fainting.
