Hello readers

Canon wise takes place during season 1 with Oliver and Laurel having started dating again.

That's all I'm going to say, the rest you have to discover by reading

an apartment

Waiting in the shadows Oliver is wearing his Hood suit waiting for Dinah Laurel Lance to come home after a long day at the CRNI. The love of his life whose been investigating the Queen's Gambit shipwreck, along with trying to figure out what Tempest is and has become a problem due to that. Despite them having started dating again she must be eliminated to ensure the Undertaking will happen. After all, Anatoly called him a monster once skinning Kovar's man alive for practice closer to Ivo or Slade Wilson, well Oliver reflects he is not wrong. Well, The Hood is a monster, not Oliver Queen.

Hearing movement Oliver watches as Laurel enters her apartment and flips on the lights is when The Hood makes his move by throwing a flechette into Laurel's right knee sending her to the ground, yelling painfully.

Walking over Oliver gives a kick into Laurel's chest to send her to the ground upon notching and pointing an arrow at her.

Glaring "What are you? Why are you impersonating the vigilante?" Laurel asks.

"I'm not" Oliver replies not using the voice changer.

"Ollie?" Laurel asks in shock and disbelief "Why?"

"Because your investigations into the Queen Gambit and Tempest are going to interfere with the Undertaking, which cannot be allowed. I love you but you have to die" Oliver says coldly.

"Why are you a vigilante killing the corrupt one percent? Not that I agree with cold blooded murder. And who are you working with?" Laurel asks.

"Because they are scum who this city needs to be rid of, and I'm working with the man who will bring about great change to Starling City. Who did sink the Gambit because my father was weak and had to be gotten rid of" Oliver replies.

"My father was right about you Queen! Hope you and your employer burn in hell, this time longer than five years" Laurel snarls.

Laughing "Yeah well probably and ah that's the problem with the Lance family. Everybody else is at fault never yourselves, for example, call the cops on your sister to get her out of the way, or not accept you had a hand to play in sending your sister on the Gambit. I am done being the victim for everything wrong in Mr. Lance and yours' lives. I've accepted my blame, shame you two can't do the same" Oliver says.

Glaring "Yeah well, my sister stole other guy's boyfriends in high school, got us beat up for it and took you to bed with her. Did my sister tell you she tried to split us apart the night before she ran away on the Gambit? You will have to forgive my sister who everybody thinks is a saint for not mentioning it. And how exactly do you think you will get away with murdering a lawyer or my father?" Laurel asks angrily.

"It's really simple, I have SCPD officers out there waiting to collect your corpse and the local ME is on Tempest's payroll. It will be easy enough to make it seem like a drug overdose for you and your father. After all, you killed yourself due to your cheating boyfriend, dead sister and not getting your dream to be the next Ms. Queen with a castle, and 2.5 kids. Some people just snap" Oliver replies coldly then sarcastically adds "Guess you were right; everything is my fault after all."

Before Laurel can utter another word, The Hood let's lose an arrow right into Laurel's throat as she chokes on her blood for a few minutes before dying. Crouching down Oliver softly kisses Dinah Laurel Lance's forehead and closes her eyes.

"Good-by Laurel, I will always love you," Oliver says warmly.

Standing up The Hood makes his way to an exit with a moment later the two patrol officers on Malcolm's payroll come in.

Later that night Quentin Lance got a visit by The Hood where he too was killed as well, and his death made to look like a suicide. Months later the Undertaking was indeed a success.

I had fun writing this, although will understand if not everyone enjoyed it. Leave a review letting me know what you think if you want.

Yes, this the actual season 5 Oliver who skinned a man alive for practice in 5x17 and not who Oliver was in season 1. Anybody who thinks this is the same Oliver needs to go back to rewatch the first season of Arrow.

Never mind the fact Quentin said The Hood killed 26 in Home Invasion episode of season 1, a far cry from the putting arrows into everybody he faces, like they later tried to retcon of 5x09 flashbacks, 8x10, 5x17, constantly calling The Hood a monster, Joe West's treatment of Oliver and I could go on.

Between the Arrow showrunners, who act like Oliver is some serial killer or certain fans given he killed a handful of bodyguards in self-defense against gunmen, who knew full well what their bosses were doing, and three bad guys from The List in season one? Yeah, this is what the true monster Oliver would be.

A man who would no doubt go along with Malcolm's Undertaking for letting nothing stand in his way, including morals or innocent people. Unlike the one in the show.

Yeah, this still ticks me off… like other stuff does for various fans, I started watching in October 2012 to see Oliver Queen as the hero and the treatment he has gotten in the Arrowverse by the writers out of hatred disgusts me.

Sorry, Laurel and Quentin, you lived on the wrong earth this time.

Until next time
