Author's Disclaimer: This is a fan made project, the show belongs to Disney and Daron Nefcey, and this is adapted from Sr. Amoniaco's Marco x Eclipsa art and story. So go check out his art.

I felt that Sr. Amoniaco's story about Marco and Eclipsa was so good that I had to make a fanfiction out of it.

This story's going to be told (in part) by flashbacks the second part will be told from Eclipsa, Star, Tom, and even Kelly's perspective.

Chapter 1. The Return of a Disgraced Squire

Part 1

It was a gray, cloudy day with heavy rain on the horizon. But otherwise expected of Spring weather. Angie and Raphael came back home from another ultrasound and find out that they are going to have a daughter instead of a son like they originally thought.

"I wonder how Marco is doing as Star's squire?" Raphael entering the driveway, "I'm sure he's doing fine. But…" Angie stares out the car window and pauses "I just wish that he'd visit more often."

As a mother missing her son, Angie switches topics "So, what name should we give our little girl?"

"I was thinking of Mariposa. Star has been such a good influence on Marco. What do you think?"

"It's perfect." Angie smiled, knowing Star would like that they used her last name to name their new baby girl.

They pull into the driveway when a portal opens up and out steps Marco.

Raphael pulls Marco in for a hug "Marco! It's so good that you came! We have.. big.. news." Raphael trails off, noticing Marco looks completely out of it as if the life were drained from his eyes.

Angie asks with the utmost concern "Marco, is" "is everything alright?"

Without looking back up at his mother he barely opens his mouth but then grits his teeth. For a moment everything is silent until *CRACKLE* the sound of thunder breaks the silence. Marco takes a deep breath, raises his head slightly just barely looking at them "I'm fine. I… sigh* I just need some rest." Marco answers then walks inside. Angie and Raphael are speechless, knowing that something is definitely wrong.

Hours later, Marco was laying on his bed staring out the window. The wind and rain pelted against the glass, with the crackling of thunder.

"Why did I do it?"

"I. Ruined. Everything." Marco trembled thinking about what happened. Mentally exhausted Marco drifts off to sleep. Thinking of the last 28 hours.

28 Hours Ago.

Tom ran into the war council room finding Marco there with the Magic High Commission and a few soldiers "Marco! Where's Star?"

"Star's in her room. She... doesn't want to see anybody right now." Marco looks at Tom and fills him in on what happened.

Tom leans against the wall "I. I can't believe it." Marco puts a hand on his shoulder "We're working on a plan of action against Ms. Heinous. As soon as Star is able. We just have to be patient."

Tom looks down, his eyes glow with anger "This is all Eclipsa's fault! Where is she!?" The MHC jumps into action to restrain the demon prince.

"Tom! I understand how you feel! But that isn't your call to make!" Marco says as Tom's eyes return to normal "And you know it." Tom stops struggling as the MHC releases him.

"I knew she was bad news! After all, she ate babies!" Hekapoo rubs her temples "We've been over this before Rombulas, that was Bowbipsa. But regardless she's gonna pay for her crimes and-"

"Guys, guys! That's up to Star to decide. She's… the queen now." Marco says with the hope that everyone could calm down

Star was in her room staring at a photo of her and her mother. In the photo Star couldn't have been more than 5 years old, both were so close before her princess training started.

With tears running down her face Star hears a knock at her door. Quickly wiping face she answers the door "I'll be there in a minute!"

Standing there was both Tom and Marco "Star! I came as soon as I heard the news. I'm-I'm sorry Star." Tom pulls Star into a hug as the only one to see her tears well up again was Marco.

"Star, how are you holding up?" Being her squire and friend, Marco hated seeing her how she is now.

Tom looks back at Star as she regains her composure "I'll be fine."

"We'll be in the war room, Stardust." Tom leaves, 'Eclipsa, your gonna pay for this'

Star walks over to the balcony "I thought I could trust her." Marco walks over "I talked to Eclipsa earlier. She wants a word with you."

The air started to feel heavy "THIS IS ALL HER FAULT MARCO! HER FAULT THAT MS. HEINOUS IS STILL OUT THERE! HER FAULT THAT MOM IS…." Star breaks out into tears and pulls him in tight.

"I know you never wanted to be Queen of Mewni, but, *sigh* Do you remember what I told you the day we went to see Mr. Candle?"

Star stares at Marco, with tears still running down her cheeks "Tell me." the soft tone of her voice sent shivers down his spine.

"Um. I said-" a knight bursts open the door "My Queen! We've spotted the beast near the outskirts of the Forest of Certain Death!"

Star and Marco quickly switch from hugging to awkward handshaking. "Yes! Thank you sir Marco I'll meet you in the war room!"

"Right, see you there!" Marco rushes off down the hall, still caught off guard by the moment they shared 'We were so close. Almost like... that other time.' Remembering the night they kissed in the photo booth Marco couldn't help to like it, but also feel guilty. 'Star is still with Tom. Me and Tom are finally best buds.' Marco contemplated telling Tom, until he enters the war room greeted by the demon prince.

"Hey Marco! Is everything alright!?" Marco, trying to shrug it off "Yeah, I'm fine! Why wouldn't I be?" Tom, confused by Marco's response "I was talking about Star."

"Why don't you ask me yourself?" Star enters the room everyone bows before the new Queen. Uncomfortable Star addresses everyone present "Ookay that's enough of that, now let's get to it." Star looks over at the MHC, sighs with the intent to hear what 'solutions' they have for Meteora.

"My Queen, may I be the first to say that I am deeply sorry for your loss." Omnitraxis Prime addresses Star.

Out of all the plans suggested, Star chooses Marco's plan to select a ragtag group of his allies to face Meteora head on.

"Alright. If everyone agrees, then- to your posts." As everyone leaves to prepare for battle, Star pulls Marco to the side "Marco. Come with me. You said that Eclipsa wants to see me. So, lets hear what fucking excuse she has to tell me." Star looked at Marco, not with concern, but with a look that he'd never seen before. "Uh, okay. What's this about? I mean- wouldn't you want what you have to say to her, be more… private?"

"Believe me Marco. If l was alone with Eclipsa. There'd be no trace of her." As they made their way down to the dungeon, Marco couldn't believe that Star would kill Eclipsa, but from the monotone of her voice, to that hate filled look in her eyes. Marco knew when she was fed up and made rash decisions, but this was worse than he imagined.

"She's still chained up. Hopefully it won't come to that." Marco's uneasiness grew even more as they reached the doors of the dungeon.

Two guards were posted outside Eclipsa's cell, by both her arms she was chained up her wrists bruised from being suspended up, but what Star noticed the most wasn't her bruised wrists but that her hands were no longer stained by dark magic, but they might as well be stained with blood.

Eclipsa looks at Star, who looked like she wanted to flay her alive. Star trembled with hatred, Marco placed his hand on her shoulder to calm her down. Star looks back at Marco, still tense from just looking at Eclipsa.

"Go on. Tell me how sorry you are about killing my mom. Tell me how sorry you are that you deceived the one person in 300 years that defended you against being crystallized."

Eclipsa just stares at Star with both sadness and hatred in her eyes then looks over at Marco "Look at me Evil bitch!" Knowing that Star wasn't here to forgive her, Eclipsa explained "I was protecting my daughter. When Moon-"

"You don't get to say her name. YOU WILL!"

"Eclipsa! Please keep it brief."

Eclipsa clears her throat "When 'we' found Meteora she was sucking the life out of all living things, I pleaded with 'her' to give me a chance, but Moo- I mean she struck back at her. They both fought and your mother overwhelmed my daughter. What happened next was...I am deeply sorry Star." Star just looks back at Eclipsa with disbelief.

"Because of you my mom is gone. And now the responsibility of being queen is on me. That means I have the authority to sentence you to be crystallized forever or death." Star spoke coldly to her as if she's done this before.

"Star. We have to go." Eclipsa struggles with her chains.

"I'll let you know what your punishment will be once we've taken care of Meteora."

"Please, don't kill my daughter. Kill me if that's what you want, but I beg of you, spare my daughter please. Stop her, crystallize her, just don't kill her, don't kill my Meteora." Tears formed in her eyes hoping that Star chooses mercy.

As Star and Marco leave Marco looks back at Eclipsa 'I'll keep my promise.' Marco whispers to Eclipsa as she half-heartedly smiles back at him.

Getting to know Star's young squire Eclipsa felt that this young man has a noble heart worthy of a knight. Eclipsa smiled at the thought 'If only someone like you existed when I was queen.'
