Okinawa, Japan

Many millennia ago, the Xiliens came to Earth to find a home. Their home moon was dying, and so, they sent their scout, Dogora, to seek out viable resources. When the alien found many sources of precious materials, the Xiliens immediately sent ships to take the planet.

Little did they know that their journey would be for naught.

When Dogora approached the island of Okinawa, an ancient force awoke. A guardian of the island, a creature of strength, and the King of the Orient.

He was King Caesar.

He was like a lion, but he could stand upright, like a bear. His eyes glowed red with rage and ferocity.

He glared at the approaching jellyfish-like creature that floated in the upper atmosphere, and demanded that Dogora come down to fight him. The creature, unaware of the challenger's power, obliged, absorbing carbon from beneath the ocean to fuel itself.

Caesar dealt the first blow, tearing one of Dogora's tentacles off. The jellyfish screeched in pain and unleashed a jolt of electricity through it's tentacles. Caesar roared, but he also absorbed the energy, and redirected it as a pair of red beams from his eyes. Dogora again screamed in pain, but he absorbed the energy as well.

At that moment, the two contenders realized that this was to be a physical fight, a battle of strength and endurance.

Caesar was far stronger than Dogora, and tore at it's body like a cat with paper. However, Dogora constantly regrew his body, driving Caesar to frustration. But, then he saw the source of Dogora's power.

The brain.

Caesar unleashed his rage and tore through the jellyfish's body without reserve. Dogora screamed and tried to fight back, but it was futile, as the lion crushed it's brain in his fist.

Dogora's body went limp. The fluids within it's body flowed out like blood, and it's tentacles hung down like vines.

The invader was dead.

King Caesar unleashed a roar of victory. All knew now who the guardian was.

Even the Xiliens knew.

They sedated him. They took him to the temple the natives made for him and chained him to the rocky throne. They aimed to return one day, with far more firepower.

But they never did. Their moon died, and they were almost wiped out. Only those who fled to other solar systems had survived. Among these was one that people knew only as the Mad Titan.

And what of Caesar? He still sleeps, unaware of the bonds that restrain him. But, one day, he will awaken. He will break free of his bonds. And he will do the bidding of the one whom he swore allegiance to.
