Helga's eyelids threatened to peek open in the small beams of light from above. It was barely dawn outside from what she could tell from the ceiling window. She could feel the nice cool palet of the pillows under her groaned at the sensation of whomever's bed sheets coated her body. God, who was it that threw a party? Who did she even go with? Ah fuck it, she was aware she was alive and in one peice. Giving her eyes a chance to adjust she could see the room she was in was not her own. Oh bother, she crashed of fucking course! Her body was way too relaxed to care as she stretched out her arms and legs. No immmeidate signs of date rape so that was a plus. Huh. No pants. That's weird. Wait, I don't wear pants to bed. She yawned quietly. There may have been a lot of pillows and blankets in the way but she could tell she didn't sleep the night alone with the quiet snores heard on the other side of the bed. Uuhhh what's this person's name again? When her arms reached further under the covers she confirmed it was no hallucination.

She heard from the sky light above them, Hillwood was just beginning to awaken. Accuational street animals yapping about, car horns even a few sirens down the road. Ah hell, this guy had a whole ceiling window, no way! Impressive Helga agreed, letting her limbs make their way through the blankets in a sitting up position. It was still dark out but early as hell in the morning at best. Even enough time to confront a panicked guardian sister too. Right, I haven't even messaged her since I left the house. Helga yawned again trying to shake off the upcoming headache. What in the world happened last night she kept asking herself as she felt around for her stuff. Good thing even her wasted knew better than to leave her personal items away from arms reach. Now where? Ah! There it is! She whispered in victory through the darkness locating her pack. Attempting to stay quiet to not awaken her supposed bed partner she began to feel around in it to find some painkillers. Thank god! She planned ahead, fuck this noise! There were two things that absolutely ruined a night out. One) waking up to some loser.2) no back up plan to deal with a hangover inless than five hours. She could see to her right whomever was nice enough to donate their half of the bed had a digital lit clock next to them. 6:15 am. Yeah, she needed to bail quickly.

Well, sorry guy, wish I could remember your name but my first day of school is today sooo." Sending the restless body to her side a silent blowing kiss, she made fast of her belongings and clothes. Once she was sure nothing was lost or stolen, she began to change clothes swifty. Time had been good to her since the last time shen stepped foot in this lousy town. Years of constantly on the move, defending herself from idiots around had toned her body. Once so tall and scrawny than her peers now had hips meant for grasping in the throws of wild sex. Shoulders pushed back with a hint of visible muscle on her now tattooed arms. The pink and red roses bloomed through the vines that followed. Would be more too it if Olga playing the wanna-be-mother role hadn't politely requested she not get anymore ink. Helga, only being considerate with her new source of dependency, reluctantly agreed. It just meant more art would be in making until she felt like it again. Guess the piercing and loss of virginity were the only things left to do. Helga snickered at the irony.

Oh yeah, mister stay the night!

Helga wondered as she buttoned the strap to her denim short overalls. I know I came to this thing with Phoebe but what's his name. Damn, this was getting dumb. Coming back to Hillwood was supposed to be about keeping a throw profile. There was no need for any bad memories or troubles to rise. This was supposed to be a fresh start. Ah hell, who was she kidding?Running into Phoebe again had to be the most excitement she felt in months. She remembered walking up and down the streets looking for something to hearing a sort of comotion slash rant a block away she thought she'd look into it for the hell of it. And there she was, she knew that angry broken korean english venting anywhere! Yapping on the phone in front of the restaurant about being stood up and whatnot. Helga was ecstatic the moment she turned around when she did. The same shocked reaction expression met hers! The two embraced and screamed like little preteens, not caring for the glancing eyes around.

"Helga! Where the hell did you come from!"

Outside of her now long hair and now profane language she could easily see phoebe was very the same. Little short tempered, karma, but the quiet sweet type. Catching up had been a blast bonding over old times and ice cream. She was able to comprehend through their adrenaline filled conversation that she had progressed well in her education. Staying top of the class with going to college her main goal. She already had one or two scholarships lined up! Helga couldn't have been happier for her childhood friend. Phoebe made many attempts to get more herself but Helga manipulated the situation away. She already wasn't sure about returning in the first place but Phoebe's positive atmosphere had calmed down the storm. To make things less awkward for her friend, Phoebe then invited her to come to some house party, hosted by not-really-a-friend,Peapod. Apparently he pretty much invited everyone in his class including his debate team buddies. Hell yeah, getting trashed with her old best friend was all she wanted to do. Quite surprising on Phoebe's part, she never imagined she was that type of girl. Helga didn't care, she could use a few drinks and smokes to get over the craziness of becoming Helga G Pataki once again. So, once the sun came down, the two girls met up and apparently had a blast! Making a bad attempt at a low profile, Helga reminced of mingling, shots, dancing, the whole nine yards. At some point into the night of fun, someone must have caught her attention.

Uh-oh! Looks like her assumed attention grabber was finally starting to wake up.

She didn't really make any effort to wake him of her presents, bailing out and figuring out her way home was the only goal.

At this point i might as well make my way straight to school, i don't even know the way to the high school anyway. She kept plotting in her mind as she skimmed through her dimmed google maps on her phone

She didn't bother turning around as said person made low groans and began to stretch out on the other side of the blankets. Wrapping up her google searching, she felt a hand attempt to reach for her. Swatting it away, Helga strapped on her bag and waited for him to speak first.

"Hello?" the deep masucline tired voice spoke ever so softly. Movement under the blankets rustled so more as the said person sat up on the bed. She could make out his shadow shaking away the sleep with the massive bed hair.

Damn, even in the darkness she could see the guy had some real muscle with this skinny body.

"Yeah thanks for letting me crash, imma go '' Helga said quietly and quickly making for the latter on his side of the bed

"Where are you going? It's not even light out." He responded through a yawn, now sounding more aware.

"Yeah, I don't usually do this kid. I need to go-"

"Just give me a sec," He waved and in her direction without looking. She could tell the guy had just as a confusing and drowsy morning as her. She gave him a few moments to gather himself and slip on some pants on the shelf. Once he decided he was decent enough, he made a move toward her, arms ready to pull her in.

"Hey-hey-hey! I'm not the morning after cuddles type alright!" She immediately warned scooting away from him on the bed, pushing him back down in the process.

"But, you literally told me to hold you last night." He argued, disappointment dragging his sentence.

"Yeah, you could have been some gross garbage man for I know bub!" Helga restored trying to keep the conversation short. A chuckle was heard in response. Even with him only a few inches away, she could never figure out the kid with his massive hair in the way. He sounded around her age and pretty much had a sexy body to boot. I can see why now I was ready to climb in with a dude like this.

"Well i didn't drink last night and you were so trashed you needed a place to sleep. I didn't feel comfortable letting you walk home, so i brought you here."

Ah hell, he had to be one of those sweet types. The poor emotional wreck needed a sanctuary for the night and she gave one nonetheless, not a scratch on her. Alright I guess I owe the dweeb. Seeing her cave he made the move to take her hand in his. There was no way he was letting her go, not when he'd just discovered her!

"Thank you." She finally nodded giving in but not letting him get too close. "I appreciate it, I really do."

"Well your welcome." He said stroking his thumb over her knuckles. From the dim light of the world outside, she could feel him staring directly at her. The temptation eventually took over as she regretfully turned her head around to face him. The very first thing the moons lights gracefully touched was this boy's beckoning green eyes. She honestly never saw eyes so damn, what was the word? Ah wow, she could even think! Those green eyes burned into her like magic. Whatever plan he had in store for her was working just by meeting eyes. She tried to keep her long locks in front of her frame to avoid eye contact but his eyes still followed. Damn. "Before you leave can we just- I don't know-talk? I don't want you to leave yet."

"I can't. I start school today." She simply said, pulling her hand back and climbed up the escape.

"Really?'"Where?!" She could hear the idiot throw down on the floor from the tangled blankets before climbing back up to the fire escape. Helga, wanting to avoid any unnecessary introductions climbed up the ladder. He made a grab for her hands. Once the both of them were on the misty roof, her eyes rolled hard.

"Hey, back off you little-"

"I'm just trying to say i think you have to be one of the most interesting woman I've ever met and-"

"And what I'm trying to say is that I am not that morning after type okay?!" She hoped the harshness would just ward off this kid already. Don't tell me I took the little dweebs virginity or something! Sheesh! First timers were waaay too attached.

"Just-Just give me a chance here kay'" He tried again not letting go of her hand "I don't know if you remember our conversation last night-"

"Which i don't-"

"But i do know i don't want tonight to be the last time i see you again." He finally released her only to take her hand in his palm and leave a small kiss. Ah, the sap was a gentleman."Please? Can I have your number? Or just stay and I can take you home. My grandmother makes tone of-"

"I can't, guy, I start school today."

"Really?!". "Where?! You're in high school right?" Ah fuck, here we go. "Please tell me its HS.119?!"

Double fuck. Don't tell her this kid was a student too?! She was kinda hoping Peapod kid had an extended group of friends. Helga sighed loudly, this was too much trouble for first thing in the morning, and on a school day!

"It's not." Smacking a nice full lipped kiss on his forehead, she roughly pushed him out of the cemented roof, left him and made her way down the steps.

"You get home safe!" She could hear him calling from the rooftop ladder. "I'll see you at school then, Hermosa!"

Hermosa? Hmm worth a google search later. Helga kept on walking. She had a lot of stepping to do before the sun came up.

As Helga climbed down the firescape she finally had gotten a chance to look around. For some reason this back end street was a tad bit familiar

As for finding me this guy better logout for the better. Helga snickered at his eagerness. There was no way she was going to have even more ties to this god awful neighborhood.

"And welcome to Hillwood Ángel!" She heard him yell without shame through an upstairs window.

Now wasn't he a classic romantic? Helga contemplated as she navigated the small alley way.

It had been over eight years since she roamed these streets and almost everything had carried different feelings compared to years ago. She'd forgotten how easy it was to get sidetracked in these parts. Being an old woman down the street, a worker at one of these shops needing assistance or apparently cute boys that like to madly fall in love over night. Those green eyes still encrypted in her brain as she passed the tall bright red building she came from. Pretty big place for a guy and his family she wondered. Why in the world would anybody live in a building so high up? Whatever, she had some walking to do, adjusting the straps on her backpack she went on her way into the street of her childhood neighborhood.Guess this coming back thing won't be so boring after all.
