Patsy's Story (in loving memory of Terry Jones)
This is my first fanfic so I hope you enjoy!
We start our story in a petite village, in which many people are in poverty, and living conditions are very much horrible.
Patsy, a 10 year old adventurous adolescent, happens to live in this town full of slums. There is plague everywhere, as there always is in medieval times. This is very unfortunate, because most of the village is infected.
We call this plague Coronavirus, a deadly disease throughout the land. Sadly, Patsy's mom has it, and he is stuck quarantined with her.
This young lad longs to go outside and feel the wonderful sun on his face. But as long as he's related to his mom, he is stuck imprisoned with her for sanitary reasons. Well, not his own.
One night, our protagonist decides to venture out . He has always wanted to explore, and this dreaded pandemic was holding him back.
He stole some masks and medicine, and took a couple sets of clothes. He then decided it wasn't enough and found a couple giant bags and piled who knows what in them.
Since this boy hadn't been outside in so long, he forgot where everything was. The only thing Patsy remembered was where Camelot was. It was instinct to know where to find Camelot. You can always see a gigantic castle, that belonged to Arthur, King of the Brittans.
By what he could see, the enormous palace was about 15 miles away. That's a long way to walk for a scrawny boy who hadn't exercised much in the past year.
Then the little lad realized what he had forgotten! Well, he didn't actually forget it, he just never had any to start out with. Food!
This young child franticly searched everywhere for it. In trees, bushes, and even an ugly brown swamp.
Suddenly, Pasty came across a brown sphere. He tried to open it up. When he did, it split perfectly in half!
Inside this odd object that appeared to be some sort of food, was some white substance. He tried some and decided it didn't taste horrible.
He didn't know what to do with the two halves of this thing. Patsy decided it looked brown, like coco beans, but also looked like a giant nut.
The smart child decided to name the mysterious food a coconut. He accidently clanged the two halves together, and decided that it made a nice sound.
So off Patsy went with his newfound coconut. CLANG CLANG CLOP-CLOP! Was the noise it made as the young lad galloped along, because he imagined that he was on a horse.
Patsy had gotten three miles by early morning. Since he left at night, he decided to sleep all day.
As the dirty boy was sleeping in the forest, the only person in the land that wasn't completely covered in filth galloped over. Well, skipped, because he had no horse or anything that sounded like one.
The king looked down. Not at Patsy, but at the coconut next to him. Arthur picked it up and clanged the two halves together. He was absolutely delighted by the sound it made.
"Excuse me lad, but what is this magic, horse sound making machine?!" questioned the king.
Patsy was startled awake by the Arthur. "Your majesty! I found this object on the ground. It had food in it, but I ate it all. I have decided to call this mystery thing a coconut!" replied Patsy, with much enthusiasm.
"Come with me to Camelot. You can clang my coconuts together while I ride. Come along, lad!" King Arthur told Patsy.
So the two of them rode off to Camelot, one filthless pretending to ride on a horse, and the other covered in all sorts of crap banging two halves of a coconut together.
