The Black Eagles were preparing for their next mission. They were set to help an infestation of Demonic Beasts. The request had come from the Viscountess of Vespin. Edelgard had heard of the Viscountess before, but she did not know much about her. She knew the Viscountess was the adopted granddaughter of the Duchess of Aylor. House Aylor was a formidable house. Its members were known for their intelligence and proficiency in magic. The second largest city in the empire rested in the Dukedom of Aylor.

"Hey Hubie, do you know anything about this mysterious noblewoman?"

"I do not. The Viscountess is rather secretive about her personal information. All I know is that she is the adopted granddaughter of the Duchess and the heiress of House Aylor."

"Does the Duchess not have any other children or grandchildren?"

"It is not known Lady Edelgard, but the fact that the Viscountess made the request herself is perhaps a sign she wishes to join the nobility in proper."

"I suppose. Although, it is odd that an adopted child would become the heir of a noble house."

"What about Ashe? Is he not the heir?"

"Yes, but House Aylor is much larger than Ashe's house, to place a commoner in charge of such a large house is a rather bold choice."

"I don't recall inviting you into this conversation, Ferdie."

"I don't recall giving you reason to hate me so."

"I recall us agreeing to leave 5 minutes ago."

"Well said Edelgard, we'll be leaving now."

The Black Eagles stepped out of the carriage. They had arrived at Vespin Manor. Byleth counted his students. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7…

"Someone wake up Linhardt."

Caspar went back into the carriage to wake up Linhardt. While Caspar dealt with Linhardt, an elderly man approached the Black Eagles. He was well dressed. His gray hair was neatly combed.

"Are you the professor from Garreg Mach?"

"Yes, I am."

"I apologize, the Viscountess is currently preoccupied and sent me in her steed."

"I see."

"Does that displease you?"

"No, it's just we do not know much about the Viscountess and hoped this mission would help us learn more about her."

"I am sorry, your highness, but that is by the Viscountess herself. I ask of you to not intrude into the Viscountess's personal life."

Hubert glared at the man. A young woman descended the stairs of the manor. She was incredibly beautiful. She had long, wavy black hair that changed color in the light. Her shimmering blue eyes were filled with mirth. She was rather svelte and had a slim figure. She wore a sleeveless white dress that accented her figure in a non-vulgar way.

"Now, Richards, they are our guests, let us not antagonize them."

"My apologies, my lady. May I present the Viscountess of Vesptin and Heiress to House Aylor, Illyasviel Alexandra Alena von Aylor."

"You're the Viscountess?!"

"Does that surprise you?"
